Aiden

"Hey, oh my god where is she?" Scarlett said, shakily, as the group walked towards me.

"Umh, I don't know much, they took her into ER a while back, they're doing a small surgery or something,"

"Did you speak to her mom?" Levi asked,

"Yeah, she's on a flight right now,"

They all looked worried, their eyes were red, and Jacob looked like he was going to punch something.

I paced around, taking deap breaths, trying to block out any memories or thoughts.

"It's been almost two hours why hasn't anyone said anything yet?" Levi said, tapping his feet on the ground.

Wow, it felt like it had been hardly 20 minutes.

We walked to the desk together, hoping to get any information.

"Excuse me," I said, and the lady at the front desk turned around, looking at me, and I instantly recognized her.

"Aiden! Oh my god dear, what's wrong?"

"Uh someone I know got checked in a few hours ago, can you tell me if she's going to be okay?"

"What's her name?"

"Hayley Jones," Levi said, as I clenched my jaw painfully.

"Oh...I....she's being taranfered out of ER, I don't know how it went though" she said, looking at her screen, and Levi sighed.

"Can we see her today?" He asked.

"Are you family?"

"Might as well be," he said through gritted teeth.

"I'll come update you when I find out how the surgery went," she said, turning back.

"Its going to be different this time," Levi said, reassuringly patting my shoulder. I clenched my jaw again, and gave him a small tight lipped smile as we walked back to the group.

"Did they tell you anything?" Ryan asked, and Levi shook his head.

I finally sat down, and loosened the tie around my neck, when I got call from my father.

"Hello?" I said into the phone.

"Aiden, I heard what happened, are you okay?" Emma said, she must've used dad's phone.

"Hey. Who told you?"

"The hospital called dad."

"I'm fine," I said softly.

"Don't worry okay, she's gonna be fine," she said, as a flash back from 3 years ago played in my head, and I felt my eyes stinging again.

"I'll call you back when I hear from the nurse," I said.

"Are you with the others?" She asked.

"Yeah,"

"Okay, let me know if you need anything,"

"Thanks, bye," I mumbled.

"Bye, love you," she said, and hung up.

I ran a hand through my hair, and rested on my knees, tapping my feet on the ground restlessly.

It was now 4 in the evening, about 3 hours since the accident.

Another hour went by, without anyone saying a word. The fact that Hayley could possibly be dead was eating me on the inside, and there was no one to tell me that she was going to be fine, at least no one that actually knew how she was doing.

The nurse walked into the waiting room, and stood infront of us with a clip board in her arms.

"You're all here for Hayely Jones?" Angela asked.

"Yeah, yeah, how is she?" Jake said.

"She's going to be okay," she smiled, and everyone let out a big sigh.

"The surgery went well?" Ryan asked, and she nodded.

"For now we aren't allowing any visitors though, maybe tomorrow, so I'd suggest that you guys go home and get some rest?" She said, but got no reaction in response.

"I know that you guys want to be there for her, but all of you can't see her anyway. Her mom will be here in a few hours, she'll update you, and if you don't leave, a doctor will come out here and tell you to anyway," she said, and Scarlett sighed.

"You can see her tomorrow, the minute she gets up,"

"You're sure she's going to be fine?" Scarlett asked.

"I promise," Angela smiled reassuringly.

"Wait maybe I should stay till her mom gets here,"

Angela sighed, "sure, whatever you want," she smiled.

A while later a doctor came and basically forced everyone to leave, but I knew him because of my father, and I told him I'd leave once Hayley's mom got here.

"Aiden sweetie, I'm telling you, she's going to be perfectly fine," Angela said.

I looked at her, and cleared Mt throat softly.

"Ugh, okay, if you want you can wait with her inside until her mom comes," she said, and I instantly looked up.
"I can see her?"

"If you promise not to tell,"

I walked behind her through the quiet corridor, until she reached the room, and opened the door softly.

"Thank you so much,"

"Sure," she smiled.

I saw Hayley lay on the bed, with drips going in and out of her. Her face was pale and dry, and she had bandages wrapped all around her.

She looked pretty injured, but I let out a sigh of relief, she looked better than I'd expected.

I sat down on the chair next to her bed, and took her cold palm in mine. I gave it a gentle squeeze, as my eyes grew red and teary.

I sniffled and rested back on the wall behind me, with my eyes closed.
