I walk into work happy, I go into the staff locker room and take my cardigan off I was already in my uniform

I slide my stethoscope around my neck and grab my coat slipping it on putting my necessities into my pockets

I grab my bag and reach in looking into my purse and grab my I.d badge and clipping onto my pocket of my navy blue scrub top and walking out to see April and Will talking

"There's my soon to be sister in law" Will smiles pointing me out with his hand open I walk over and Will gives me a side hug squeezing me into his body

"Let's see the ring again" April says, I raise my left hand showing her the Halsteads family heirloom ring that was Will and Jays mothers ring, every shift she aske to see the ring maybe she was trying to gie hints to Ethan

"oh my god this ring still so gorgeous" she lowers my hand "you are one lucky lady Kennedy" she adds before Maggie calls that an emergency was rolling in

I slip my ring off hooking the safety pin on it and securing it on my scrub top so i wont lose they famiy ring

I run towards the front to see if i can help in any way that I can

"Can I help?" I ask Rhodes

"No but i think Natalie could use some help" he says pointing towards the brunette who was examining a patient who was a bit frantic

"Can I help?" i ask and she nods her head

"can you hold her down i can't get a good a good see with her mjoving around so  much" she says having the ultrasound machine pulled out to check her abdomin for any internal bleeding or ruptures

"Have you giving her anything" I ask

"2 sedatives and the parameditic gave her a thing of larazapam(A/N I don't know medical stuff ii am currently going off stuff I remember hearing on medical shows so please don't come for me haha)

"Ok" I say grabbing a hold of the patients arms, she continues to try break my grasps but fails to do so

"hey we need to see inside your stomach t see if you have any internal bleeding" I say in a calm voice, she looked scared and their was dirt all over her face and clothes

"what's your name? I ask hoping to soothe her

she looked at me cofused

"Does she speak english?" I ask Natalie and look back to the lady who looked not much younger than me

"I don't know she hasn't said anything to me medics just said she woldn't move her hands away from her stomach" she says, I look back and ask if she spoke spanish she still looked confused

"Whatt if she can't hear us?" I ask

I knew sign language and ask if she was hard of hearing and she nods her head yes

"Natalie she can't hear us thats why she is scared" I say looking up to my superior

I sign out what i had said earlier about looking to see if she had internal bleeding and she eases up letting Natalie get a proper look at her stomach

"I don't see anything" she says moving the wand around

" I think we need to get her up to CT to get a proper look at her stomach" she says putting the wand back and taking her gloves off

"I'll ask how long these stomach pains have been going on" I say and Natalie nods her head before grabbing the iPad and taking some notes

"I'll call an interpertor also" she says and i nod my head before asking her the basic questions we ask all patients when they come in

"her name is Jennifer Allen"

"she was born February 17th 1987"

"and the stomach pains have been going on for 3 weeks she says" I say

"Does she have a next of kin?" Natalie asks

"No" I say looking at Jennifer "dhe immigrated here fron Cuba a month ago by herself" I say

"she didn't come in cause she can't pay the hospital fee" I say " a person found her and called 911 and that's how shee got here" I add

"She can't pay the hospital bill and she wants to leave" i translate as fast as I can cause she was signing fast

"what can we do to help her?" I ask Natalie

"I don't know" she says placing the iPad between her shoulder and body

"can't we give her something for now?" I ask seeing the pain lightly across Jennifers face, I can tell she was trying to put a brave face on so she can get discharged

" I dont know, we don't even know whats going on with her so I wouldn't know what to prescribe her" she looks at me

*Shift end*

Jen end up sneaking out of the hospital while Natalie and I were out of the room to discuss with Shannon the problem with billing

we checked to security cameras to see if we coulod possibly see what way she went but we were unsuccessful

I slip my sweater on wondering wear she could've went

I slip my ring off the safety pin and placing it back on my finger and putting the safety pin back on my scrub top so I wouldn't lose it for tomorrow
