I wake up to see Jay just watching the sports highlights from last night's game

"Morning" I say in a groggy voice, I move my shoulder and feel a pang of pain go throughout, I grab it laying my face into Jay's chest

After a few moments it starts to ease up and start diminishing

"You good now Ken?" He asks and I nod my head and remain in place not moving

I look up to see Jay with a worried look on his face

" I'm good" I smile kissing his cheek and sitting up straddling him, I blush standing up and stepping onto the flat surface

"Want breakfast?" I ask walking into the kitchen

I look back to see Jay sitting up watching me and he nods his head, he stands up walking over to me and wrapping his arms around my waist

"I'll help" he says going to the fridge and grabbing the bacon while handing me the eggs, I take them and grab the proper kitchen wear we needed and putting them onto the stove top

~A few hours later~

Jay and I have finished eating, washed our dishes and now we are watching old episodes from House

"He's a dick" Jay speaks up as Hugh Laurie's character throws something at Dr. Cameron which she dodges(Idk if this actually happens in the TV show so if it's inaccurate don't blame me i am making this shit up, anyways back to the story) I look up and laugh pulling my knees close to my chest

"Like seriously would you want to work for a jerk like that?" He asks looking at me while pointing at the TV as House is behind his desk pouring a glass of Scotch

I laugh "no but it helps to have thick skin especially in this world lately and some of the patients we will get in the ER" I say sitting up placing my feet on the ground

"I remember when I was an intern we had this one patient come into the Emergency department 70 year old male, and he came in with a broken leg and cut on his head claiming it was a fall" I start "so another Intern was assisting but he is African American and this guy straight up to Coles face said he wanted a different doctor so I was at the nurses station doing paperwork on the patient I had just previously discharged," I pause trying not to laugh "so yah anyways Cole came up to me and asked me to help so the nice person that I am I did and he takes one look at me and says 'get me a different doctor I don't want this dumb idiotic Latina to mess up' so I look at him  and said 'To bad I am the only one available to treat you, so you can either suck it up and let me and Dr. Jones treat you or you can lay here in pain while you wait for another doctor and it looks like you're in a great deal of pain and all out doctors are helping other patients" I adjust my body so I am looking at him "he finally let us treat him but God he was still a jerk" I throw my head back in annoyance at the reminder of that day
