Eve's phone vibrates in her pocket, and she glances at Noah. She sees he's hiding his phone on his leg, so she subtly opens the notification.

My Knight in Shining Armor:

You promise not to bail after school?

I swear on Boston Kreme donuts

And Kit Kats?

...That's asking for a lot

And on Kit Kats

I would never leave you, Kit Kat.

Eve smiles at the text and starts typing.

T-minus 5 more classes

I know! I literally can't focus in class today

"Eve, is something more important happening on your phone than my class?" The teacher asks.

"Yes, bitch." Eve thinks in her head.

"Sorry," Eve says, trying not to roll her eyes. She puts away her phone, and the teacher continues the lesson.

Eve parks near the entrance and opens the door. She looks around and relaxes when she doesn't see Noah.

"Hi, what can I get you?" A worker named Scarlett asks.

"Can I have a hot chocolate and a blueberry muffin, please?" She asks, handing her her credit card.

"Of course. Your total will be $6.90," Scarlett says.

She watches Scarlett drop the blueberry muffin in a paper bag, and then she prepares her hot chocolate.

"Here you go." She says, handing Eve her order.

Eve sits in the corner of the cafe, with a view of the window. She keeps herself busy on her phone until she spots Noah.

She stops breathing for a second and doesn't look up. She sees Noah's feet move towards her, and she fidgets in her seat.

"Kit Kat?" Noah whispers, shocked.

She slowly looks up and shyly says, "Hi."

He slips into the seat beside her and stares at her. They both don't say anything until Eve breaks the silence. "Sorry, I'm shocked you're actually here." She says, nervously laughing.

He softly chuckles and says, "You're shocked? You can't be shocked. You already knew who I was!"

"Well, I didn't know how you would react..." Eve says.

Noah sighs and covers his face with his hands. "I can't believe I spilled a latte on you. I'm so sorry." He murmurs miserably.

Eve laughs and pats his shoulder. "Could have been worse."

"This whole time, it was you." He says to himself.

"Disappointed?" Eve asks jokingly but also seriously.

He nudges his shoulder against hers and says, "Of you? Never."

Eve's face starts to heat up, and she hides her face in the crook of his neck. Noah naturally places his arm around her, and she scoots closer to him.

"You're so cheesy." Eve murmurs.

"Only for you, Kit Kat," Noah says.

Eve removes herself from the crook of his neck but lets him keep his arm wrapped around her. "What'd you get?" Noah asks, eyeing her empty paper bag.

"I got a blueberry muffin and some hot chocolate," Eve replies.

"Is their hot chocolate good?" He asks curiously.

"You want to finish it?" Eve asks, handing him the cup.

"Sure." He shrugged.

Eve watches him drink it and starts to blush. "We just indirectly kissed..." She thinks, automatically cringing.

"Wow, that's actually good," Noah says with a grin.

"Do you want one? I can buy you one." Eve says, standing up to buy him one.

"No need, I always have my wallet on me. Always need to be prepared for spontaneous dates." He says with a smirk.

Eve rolls her eyes and follows him to the counter. Eve watches Noah pull out his wallet and hip-checks him. At that moment, Eve hands Scarlett her credit card, and Noah stumbles back.

Eve hands Noah his drink with a smirk. "This isn't a date," Eve says, swaying her hips back to the table.

Noah shakes his head while he watches her walk away and trails after her. They engage in another conversation for another hour before returning home.

When Eve is about to get into her car, Noah says, "Wait up."

Eve steps back out and asks, "What's up?"

"Do you want to go out sometime?" Noah asks, scratching his neck.

"Like a date?" Eve asks with excitement.

Noah softly smiles and says, "Ya, like a date."

Eve's face lights up, and Noah's heart swells with pride, knowing he's the reason for that smile. "I'd love to," Eve says shyly, glancing at his lips.

"Don't kiss her." Noah thinks. "Too early."

But then Eve slowly leans forward, giving Noah a chance to move away. "I want to kiss her, though..." Noah thinks, grabbing her waist and closing the distance. Eve is surprised by his action but automatically kisses back.

"Does Saturday work for you?" Eve murmurs, leaving kisses around his neck.

Noah pretends to think and says, "I don't know... I'm a pretty busy person."

Eve rolls her eyes and leaves a present for him on his neck. "Of course, I'm free for you, Eve." He says, squeezing her waist.

Eve smiles and pecks his lips. "I should head home before my parents think I've been kidnapped." She says jokingly.

Noah nods and sneaks in one more chaste kiss.
