Tristan

I silently watched the city whizz by the car window. I did not know where the car was headed and I knew better than to ask.

It seemed surreal that I had been forced into a car in broad daylight amidst hundreds of citizens. The man behind me had calmly put his hand on my shoulder and told me to walk towards a black sedan standing nearby. He had pushed the revolver into my back when I had hesitated.

I was sure that he would have shot me if I hadn't obeyed. He was big, tall and monstrously strong with a face as hard as stone. He had obviously done this before.

Sitting beside someone who I knew could and would kill me if I made a wrong move was the most terrifying thing I had ever done. I hardly dared to breathe lest he somehow got mad and decided to use me for target practice.

He had already taken my phone away and put it in his own pocket. I hadn't tried to ask him questions like who he was working for. I already knew who was behind this.

The only thing that was in my mind right now was Damien. He was sure to get suspicious very soon. It broke my heart to think about how upset he would be when he realised that I had been abducted.

I looked at the man beside me stealthily. He looked like an absolutely normal citizen, not someone you would expect to abduct you. He had the stereotypical American face with normal clothing. Anybody would pass him on the street and not give him a second thought.

The car had a driver but I could not see him as there was a partition screen between the back and the front. It was honestly suffocating to sit there in utter silence with a criminal. The tinted windows were closed too and I so longed to open them for a whiff of fresh air. But of course that wasn't going to happen.

I don't know how long we drove for or where we drove to. I lost track when the car left the city and entered the countryside. The scenery outside was beautiful and any other time I would have been jumping in joy to be here.

As uncomfortable as I was, I did not want the drive to end because I knew very well what was waiting for me at the end.

A psychotic, crazed man with too much money and power for his own good.

When the car stopped, my heart skipped several beats. I was miles away from the city for sure with absolutely no one to help me.

"Get out," my captor said in a gruff voice. The door clicked open but I hesitated to get down. A rough shove from behind made me tumble out of the car onto the hard asphalt.

I groaned in pain and glared at the burly man standing above me. He was of course not fazed by my glare at all and pulled me up by my arm.

It was then that I took in my surroundings. We were literally in the middle of nowhere. It was just an empty road with fields on both sides.

I was very very confused to say the least. Why would they bring me here?

The man started walking towards god knows where and I was obliged to follow as my arm was still firmly in his grasp.

I almost wanted to ask him why we were walking on an empty road when I heard a slight whizzing. It slowly became louder and louder. I looked around me for the source of the sound.

It was a plane.

A plane which seemed to be descending.

Everything suddenly fell into place. They were going to put me in a plane and take me away from not just Chicago but probably America itself.

If I was afraid before, I was now terrified. The sheer seriousness of the situation dawned on me, making my fingers start shaking.

I was well and truly being kidnapped and smuggled out of the country.
