A/N: Did anyone watch the Stranger Things trailer for season 2? I can't wait for Halloween, now... Also there's going to be a Tร˜P concert close by where I live and I won't get to go... ugh... I'm annoyed, but oh well, I guess. I really hope they win at least one award at the grammys...

Previously:

When you finally arrived back at your apartment, your smile was still glued to your face.

"Well, someone looks happy!" Your roommate pointed out.

"You'll never believe what happened to me!"

Present:

She sat up on the couch,"What? Tell me everything!"

"Okay, don't faint or anything, but Benedict Cumberbatch gave me his number!"

"Oh. My. God!" she squealed, jumping up and down like a little girl. "Show me! Show me!"

You pulled out the card from your pocket with a grin and handed it to her. She examined it carefully like it was made out of gold, "Wow... I should have gone with you."

"Yes, you should have. Also, I met a girl named Becky who was pretty cool," you added calmly.

"Are you kidding? I don't wanna hear about a random girl! Tell me about Benebatch Cumberdict!" (I once found a full list of possible nicknames for him ๐Ÿ˜‚)

So you told her the whole story, and she was left both incredibly jealous, and happy for you. Then she kept insisting you to call him, but you didn't know what to do. Any other time you would have jumped at a phone if you had his number, but that was when you thought that was never going to happen. Now that it was possible, you were kind of freaking out. Guys weren't really your area.

But when someone like Benedict Cumberbatch gives you his number, you call him. And so you did. After about three times of typing the number and then freaking out and then typing it again.

Ring. Ring. Ring.

"Hello?" you heard him respond.

"Yes. Hello, um... I'm Y/N. You gave me your number and-"

"Yes! Y/N! Hi! I was worried you weren't going to call me."

You were surprised to hear him say that, which was shown in your expression, and you could see your roommate dying to know what he said.

"Really? I mean, of course you were. Well, I was thinking that we could go out sometime?"

"That sounds great! Are you available tomorrow night? I can pick you up."

"I am, actually. But I'm pretty sure you would have to fly over here..."

"Not a problem. Does around nine pm sound good?"

"Yeah, absolutely! But where would we going?"

"It's a surprise. See you tomorrow!" he hang up.

You proceeded to share the half of the conversation your roommate didn't hear, and then to plan out your outfit. Since you didn't know where the date was taking place, you weren't exactly sure what to wear. After some minutes of deciding, you picked out a dress, a pair of heels (or regular shoes), and a coat, just in case.

Then, when the time of the date finally arrived, you made your way down. As you stepped out of the elevator, you caught him fixing his coat collar on the other side of the glass panel door.

You giggled to yourself before opening the door, and his eyes widened when he saw you.

"You look stunning!" he said. Before you got a chance to thank him, he pulled out a blindfold.

"What's that for?" he turned you around and placed the blindfold on your eyes, carefully tying a knot on the back.

"To keep the surprise," he grabbed your shoulders and guided you through the streets of your hometown. You stumbled a few times, but he made it up to you when he whispered the directions in your ear. The whole time was a laughing mess, which unfortunately caught the attention of a few paparazzi. They ran towards you when they saw Benedict, and he ran even faster when he saw them. He took a hold of your hand and guided you to an alley, where the paparazzi didn't notice you.

"What happened?" you said, catching your breath, still wearing the blindfold.

"Paparazzi."

"Oh. You know, if it's inconvenient to go out-"

"No! Not at all! We're going!" he took your hand again, seeing as that was easier, and you kept walking.

Finally, when you arrived at a beautifully lit park, he removed the blindfold, and you stared at the sight in awe. He then took out his phone and left it on a nearby bench. It started playing a slow song and you began to dance together. You placed your head on his chest (or shoulder depending on how tall you are) and swayed to the melody.

You looked up at him and he lent in, but he didn't get to do anything before a fan screamed his name. She ran towards him and waved a pen and paper around the air.

"Oh, my gosh, I'm your biggest fan! You have no idea how much I admire you! Could I please have your autograph and a picture?" she said with puppy eyes.

"Of course, but it'll have to be quick. I'm kind of busy..." he took the pen and paper and scribbled on it for a second before giving it back.

After she noticed your presence, she asked, "Are you on a date? With her?"

It didn't take long for you to snap back, "What do you mean 'with her'? Who's the one actually on the date and the one interrupting it?"

She sneered, "You know what? Forget the picture!" She flipped her hair and walked away.

You rolled your eyes before Ben sighed. "This date is just not going well, is it?"

"Hey, it's not over yet! We'll make the best of the rest of the night!" You were on a date with freaking Benedict Cumberbatch; you weren't going to let that go to waste.

Unfortunately, it didn't turn out as you hoped. The waiter at the restaurant spilled your drink on you, paparazzi and fans surrounded you, and one of your heels broke (or you stepped on gum). The rest of the night got even worse, as you got chased by some burglars.

At the end of your date, you could tell Benedict felt bad about the results. He kept apologizing and offering to do things to make you feel better, until you reached your apartment and you couldn't take it anymore. You smashed your lips into his to make him stop talking and his eyes widened in surprise.

"Stop apologizing! It wasn't your fault! And honestly, I had a great time! Any time I spend with you is great! Remember how awkward I was when we first met?"

He smiled, "Yeah... I'm glad you got lost in New York."

"I'm glad you got lost in New York, too. I mean- I'm glad I got lost in New York, too," you laughed.

"Look, Y/N I..." he started, before looking away.

"What?" you said worriedly. Was he going to break up with you when you hadn't even officially started dating?

"It may be a little too soon to say it but... I love you."

"I know."

"Did you just make a Star Wars reference?"

"Yes, I did, and I'm proud of it," he kissed you again.

Just after he left, you looked up at your apartment window and saw your roommate spying from it. You two talked a lot that night.
