A/N: For this one and all of the previous chapters including Benedict pretend he doesn't have a wife... Even though she's beautiful and I'm sure she's nice.

-------------------------------------------

Ever since you got a job at Bob's Diner, you were saving up for a trip to New York. You worked hard and saved every penny, and it finally paid off. As Bob handed you your paycheck, you grinned and hugged it; and you guarded it like a baby during the walk to your car.

When the day of the trip finally arrived, you rushed to get ready, did a last check-up to make sure you weren't forgetting anything, and hugged your roommate quickly.

"Good luck in the Big Apple! Buy me stuff! And don't fall in love with strangers!" She shouted just before you closed the door.

"Thanks! And I can't promise anything!"

Unfortunately, luck didn't arrive... At least not at first.

As you left the doors of the airport, you looked around in awe. It was just as you had imagined, and maybe even better. You rushed to catch a cab, but none stopped for you. Next to you was a woman in a tight dress, and three cabs stopped for her. (The harsh reality) You raised your arms as if saying Are you kidding me?! and decided to walk to your hotel. You were very tired, but you prevailed. With the help of some passers-by, you were able to find your hotel and, as soon as you got to your room, you took a shower. Then, you hit the buffet and chose to walk around town.

With the assistance of your map, it wasn't too hard to stay on track but, after enough time, you started to feel like you were walking in circles. Then, to your surprise, you stumbled upon what seemed to be a movie set. The area was closed with yellow tape and security guards surrounded every corner. Cameras were set up everywhere and you heard the director (Scott Derrickson) shout at the cast. You even saw Tilda Swinton and then... Benedict Cumberbatch! You were definitely left starstruck!

But then you remembered the fact that you were lost. You went up to a man that was in front of the yellow tape to ask for directions, before realizing it was Scott Derrickson.

"Are you sure we're missing an extra? I must have miscounted..."

You tapped his shoulder, "Excuse me-"

"Oh, good! You're here! Just stand over there next to the lady in pink (*wink*), act surprised and scared, and wait for Benedict to do his part and you know the rest." (Obviously that wasn't in the movie but... Imagine it was a deleted scene or something)

He didn't give you time to say anything as he pushed you under the yellow tape and where he signaled you to stand. Seeing as you didn't have any other choice, you acted as if the world was ending and pretty much mimicked what all of the other extras were doing. Then, out of nowhere, you saw a giant fake piece of concrete fall from a crane before Benedict picked you up bridal style and moved you out of the way. After he set you down on the ground, you noticed a camera move in next to you and zoom in.

"Are you okay?" Ben asked.

You didn't know what was what you were supposed to answer so you just said, "Yeah, I'm okay..."

It seemed to work as Benedict nodded and continued his scene. You sighed out of relief and got up. You brushed off your clothes and the cameraman asked, "Are you sure you're an extra? I've never seen you before..."

"Well, the director didn't seem to care, so... I guess I am."

He shrugged and moved on to his next filming position. Now that the director thought you were an extra, you weren't going to give it up. That was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

When shooting was over, Scott said the whole team was going to get some coffee, so you followed suit. Everyone seemed to seat in different sections according to their roles, so you sat with the rest of the extras. The whole time they were talking, you stared at the celebrities in the table in front of you without realizing it. Then, a lady about your age waved her hand in front of your face.

"Earth to whatever your name is!"

"What? Oh, sorry... I guess I got lost daydreaming, as always. I'm Y/N. What's your name?"

"Becky (if anyone gets the reference I love you). And don't worry, it happens to me all the time. I wish someday I'll turn out to be as famous and talented as they are."

"I'm sure you will be."

"So, who were you daydreaming about in particular?"

"Benedict..."

"I knew it!"

"Was I that obvious?"

"No, but it's usually Benedict. Go talk to him!"

"Are you joking? No! I'll just embarrass myself!"

"Fine, then I'll go with you."

She grabbed your hand and pulled you over to them. She waved and with a big smile she said, "Hi! We're a couple of the extras and we were wondering if you could give us some advice regarding acting?"

"Sure," Tilda spoke up. You talked for about five minutes before they had to leave again for more scenes. Just after Ben got up, though, you noticed that his watch fell from his wrist. You weren't fast enough to tell him before he left, but you made sure to grab it in case you got a chance to return it.

Unfortunately, you didn't, but Becky suggested you checked his dressing room to see if he was there while he had to change. So, when you saw him leave in that direction, you followed him, but you didn't catch him before he entered his room. When you got there, you knocked on the door but there was no response. Taking a risk, you opened it to find Benedict shirtless.

"Oh, my god! I'm so sorry! I thought you still had your clothes on!" You said without taking your eyes off his chest.

"It's fine. It's not like I'm naked," he finished putting his shirt on. "You're one of the extras we talked to earlier aren't you?"

You smiled at the thought that he remembered you, "Yes, I'm Y/N. And obviously I know who you are. So, um, the reason I'm here is to return your watch, which you ironically lost." You handed it to him and he took it with a smile.

"Thank you; I was looking for it."

"No problem," you let out an awkward cough and continued, "I guess I should go now."

"Wait!" You stopped and turned back around. "I saw a lot of potential in you; take this card. It's from my agent. If you ever feel like calling him/her tell him/her that I personally recommend you," he said while writing something on a card and handing it over.

"Thank you so much!" You didn't check what he wrote, but you safely placed it in your pocket. "I hope that one day our paths will cross again," you said, trying to sound dramatic. Maybe you did have a lot of potential.

"I hope so, too," he waved. After you closed the door, you dreamily sighed.

The rest of the trip around New York was great, but none of it compared to that experience. As you were sitting in the plane, you remembered the card Benedict gave you and you checked it again. On the back it read:

If you ever feel like calling me, I also recommend it.

012-345-6789

;) Ben

You resisted the urge to scream but you were mentally jumping everywhere.

When you finally arrived back at your apartment, your smile was still glued to your face.

"Well, someone looks happy!" Your roommate pointed out.

"You'll never believe what happened to me!"

A/N: So, if you were wondering, the reference I mentioned was from a few of Dan's (danisnotonfire) videos where he pretends to be a girl named Becky that everyone bullies. So yeah... I hope you enjoyed it! Any requests? A sequel to this one?
