EDIT: I forgot to dedicate this chapter to @PentatonixPilots2124 as well, since I can't dedicate a chapter to more than one person. Sorry!

You walked over to Stephen's room, curious as if that was his location. You couldn't find him anywhere else, so that was the last place left. You knocked on the door and received a muffled "Come in" from the inside. You opened the door to find Stephen experimenting with spells, and sparks of light flashing around the room.

"What are you doing?" You asked with a giggle.

"Trying out new spells!" He answered with a cheerful tone. He was clearly having fun. "No one ever discovered anything without a little experimentation."

"Is that so?"

"I'm pretty sure. Do you need anything?"

"No, I was just wondering where you went, that's all," you answered, hugging his back.

He smiled, "Oh. Were you worried about me?"

"Not really, I just wanted to know if we could ditch you to go to the movies," you laughed. He threw some powder from a potion at your face, jokingly, but you soon freaked out, "Wait, isn't this for a spell? Couldn't it affect me somehow?"

He realized his mistake, but brushed it off to calm you down, "No, of course not. I already tested it and it doesn't do anything... I think."

You raised an eyebrow, "I certainly hope so." You kissed him and went to bed, before he accidentally threw anything else on you. The next morning, you were thankfully alive and well, but you noticed something different about your body. You felt somehow... smaller. Either that, or everything around you expanded. You got off the bed, but landed on your hands as well as your feet. You looked down and instead found paws. You shrieked, and Stephen came rushing through the door in an instant.

"Are you okay?" He asked worriedly, but then his expression changed when he couldn't find you. "Y/N? Where are you?" You jumped on the bed for him to notice you, but he failed to realize that it was you instead of a regular cat. "Oh, hey there, kitty," he scratched your back. You had to admit it felt good. "Where did you come from? Did you see Y/N anywhere?" You attempted to explain, but all that came out of your mouth was an adorable meow. "I'll take that as a 'no'." He picked you up carefully and walked over to Mordo. "Hey, Mordo, do you know where this cat came from?" He held you up so he could clearly get a look at you.

"No, I've never seen it before. I don't know how it could have found its way in here," he responded.

"Me neither," he said while bringing you closer to his face to get a better look at you. "She is a beautiful cat, though." You placed your tiny paws delicately on his face and brought your eyes closer to his to try to make him notice that they were yours. "You are a curious little kitty, aren't you?" He asked with a chuckle. "Maybe we could keep her! I bet Y/N would love her. That reminds me... Where is she?"

"I have no idea. The last time I saw her she was heading towards her room. Have you checked in there?" Mordo answered.

"Yes, that's where I found this cat," it took a second before it dawned on him. "You don't think- Oh my god, what have I done! Y/N, is that you?" He asked, looking at you with shock. You did your best at nodding, and he got the message. You licked his nose with your now raspy tongue to calm him down, and he smiled. "I have to admit, you're really adorable like this..." You poked him with one of your claws, reminding him that you had the ability to be the opposite if he didn't turn you back to normal. "I know, I know. I'll find a way to fix it," he assured you.

He went to the library (where he talked with Thor) with you in his arms, and he sat down with the correct book after setting you down. You jumped back to his lap and curled into a ball, after stretching and getting comfortable. He sighed and looked your way, "If I'm not able to release you from the spell, I'll make sure to buy you all the necessary items." Your eyelids slightly closed and turned into a glare, and he swallowed heavily. Meanwhile, so he didn't get even more stressed out than he already was with your presence, you explored the fact that you were a cat. You went outside and walked around, appreciating all of the intensified sounds and smells. You hopped from stone to stone on a nearby pond and had to resist the urge to attack the innocent-looking koi fishes. You proceeded to adventure around the temple until you ran into the Ancient One.

"Well, hello there," she began as she picked you up. "How did you get in here?" You tried to explain but, again, another meow. She laughed slightly, "However you got here, we need to find your owners. If you have any. I'm sure they wouldn't be too pleased to find that their cat has gone missing." You tried to resist her taking you to a shelter, but no matter what you did, she didn't give in. Soon enough, you arrived, and she placed you delicately on the counter, making sure to keep a hold of you so you didn't escape. One of the volunteers came up to her and he said that there weren't any recent reports about missing cats that matched your appearance. You relaxed for a second, until he said that they would keep you anyway, just in case. You freaked out and accidentally scratched the Ancient One, before the volunteer got a hold of you and left you in a cage. You really hoped that Stephen could find the right spell on time.

As the Ancient One arrived back to the temple, she found a distressed Stephen looking for something in every corner. He turned to her and with a worried and hopeful look he asked, "Have you seen Y/N? She's kind of... a cat, right now."

"A cat? Oh no..." She looked down. She knew Stephen wasn't going to like her news.

His worry grew, "What do you mean by 'oh no'?"

"I thought she was a just a regular cat, I- I took her to the shelter," she sadly stated.

"Well then we have to get her back!" He rushed after you and ran all the way to the shelter with the Ancient One behind him. She explained how they wanted to get you back and the volunteer sighed. A family had already adopted you right after she left. Stephen asked if they could get the family's information, and it took a little persuasion for the volunteer to agree. He opened a portal to the family's address and rang the doorbell impatiently. A middle-aged woman answered and, seeing how Stephen and the Ancient One clearly looked desperate, let them in. As soon as he found you, he picked you up and kissed your head. You brought your nose to his and cuddled him happily. Meanwhile, the Ancient One explained how much you meant to them and the family reluctantly accepted to give you back.

When you were finally back in Kamar-Taj, Stephen gladly shared the news that he had found the spell necessary to transforming you back into your human form. Before he used it, though, the Ancient One ran to your room to find your clothes and had them ready next to you, just in case. You were turned back to normal and, after putting on your clothes, you hugged Stephen and the Ancient One while releasing a sigh of relief. You enjoyed being a cat for a while, but you definitely preferred being a human.

A/N: So, I'm feeling better now. I guess I just needed a while to clear my head. But I want to thank the ones that commented and made my day a little brighter. I hope you're feeling better, too. I really appreciate the advice you guys gave me! It definitely helped.

And apart from that, I will have about the whole of this week free to update! I don't know how much time in it I'll have left to work on chapters, because I do have other plans, but I'll try my best to get your requests published.
