---------------------------------------------------------

You and Stephen walked hand in hand through the temple, admiring the way the new students trained with such determination. You remembered the times when you were just like them. A strong girl, both in body and mind, who had such abilities to manipulate the mystic arts. You thought of the days which in that moment seemed so distant, when you met Stephen. He was your biggest crush, and the one you truly felt you had fallen in love with. You had shared your deepest dreams and secrets with him, and he swore to keep them as safe as a dragon guarding his treasure. You both eventually fell in love with each other and became the fiercest couple of warriors in Kamar Taj. You were presently married and had children, and you were incredibly happy, but you still couldn't help but reminiscence at your old memories.

Back then you were young and agile, but now you were 80 years old. You and Stephen were growing colder and slower, and you missed the days where you two would run up hills and chase each other around. You still loved each other dearly, and because of that, you tried to hide your sadness. But, as you were together since a long time, he was able to notice your watery gaze.

"Is everything alright?" He asked with his raspy voice.

"Yes, of course, dear. Why do you ask?" You answered, attempting to hide the truth.

"We've been married for nearly fifty years, did you seriously think I wouldn't notice your recent sad mood?" He asked with a small chuckle.

"I was hoping you wouldn't," you sighed. "I've been thinking about- about our death..."

He sighed as well, "Honey, you shouldn't fear it. It happens to everyone. All we can do is live the rest of the life we have as best as possible."

"I know, but I miss the old days. Back when we were young and care-free..." You paused, looking to the sky. "I sometimes dream that one day I'll wake up and we won't be old anymore."

"Don't say that. I know that being old isn't the best thing, but when we were young, we didn't have our children yet. And we would miss them a whole lot, wouldn't we?" He asked, trying to cheer me up.

"Yes, yes we would. I just... I would do anything to get just one more day of youth. Just to remember how it feels like," tears began to form in your eyes. "Now I'm old and ugly. I'm tired and I can't do the things I used to be able to do. Twenty years ago, I was as bright and strong as the Ancient One when she taught us. Now, it's all gone," you let your tears fall and hugged your fragile body. Stephen took you in his arms which, through the years, never lost their loving grip. He caressed your hair and kissed your head, whispering sweet nothings in your ear. To him, you were the most beautiful woman in the world, and the only one that mattered - except for your daughter. She came second.

You looked up at him as he embraced you, and he kissed your chapped lips. "Thank you," you said. You didn't know what you would do without him and your family and friends. As you kept walking, you spotted Wong and Mordo sitting on a bench, talking. You had gotten over Mordo's betrayal, eventually deciding it wasn't worth dragging on throughout so many years. You stopped in front of them, still holding on to Stephen's hand, and greeted them with a smile as your tears dried off.

"Hey, guys. How are you doing?" Mordo asked.

"We're good. Just got over a crisis," Stephen replied.

"What else is new?" Wong laughed.

You stayed to talk for what seemed like hours. Once in a while, you would all get into a childish argument, and then quickly get over it. It reminded you of the times you used to that in the past. It was good to have friends like that. Friends that you could trust through everything, and stay friends with for as long as fifty years.

No, you weren't the same young, bright, and attractive girl you were in the past. But that version of you stayed alive inside you, and it was good to know that Stephen loved the aged version of you just as much as the young one. You weren't ready to die, but you realized what you missed the most wasn't your youth, they were the old memories that you loved so much. Thankfully, you still had a long time to make new ones, and you smiled at the thought as you fell asleep, ready to face another day.

A/N: Was it bad? I hope not. It was short, though; sorry about that.
