I watched as the kids plummeted down the side of the mountain and lightly chuckled. "It feels so nice to NOT be the one doing that." I remarked.

"Oh L/n, I didn't see you there. How's it been?" Mandalay asked.

"I'm alright, I've been working as Aizawa's assistant for a while and it's been pretty great, how about you guys?" I asked.

"We've been pretty great. Oh, this is my nephew Kota, he moved in with us about 2 years ago." Mandalay said, gesturing to the small boy standing next to her.

"Oh, hi there." I said, trying to be friendly.

He looked at me and scoffed, walking back to the Pussycat's car. 'What's his problem?' I asked myself.

We drove to the bus down to the Pussycat's lodge and I settled my stuff down in an isolated room, perks of being a teacher. I strolled through my phone and looked at some of the photos from my childhood. I smiled and played a video I had downloaded.

"Is it on?" Touya asked.

"Yeah! Go ahead!" I said.

Keigo lifted Touya from the pole he was standing on and slowly glided down with Touya in his arms, "I BELIEVE I CAN FLY! I BELIEVE I CAN TOUCH THE SKY!" Touya sang at the top of his lungs as they glided down.

I chuckled. "What are you watching?" I heard Aizawa ask from my doorframe.

"Have you ever heard of knocking?" I asked.

"Nope," he said as he walked in and sat down on my bed.

I turned my phone and showed him the video. Aizawa chuckled a bit before he furrowed his brow. "Is that Hawks?" he asked.

I nodded and said, "We were childhood friends."

"Who's that other boy?" he asked.

"Oh that's my old friend Touya, I actually lived with him for like... 8 years."

"Why?" Aizawa asked.

"Oh... my parents abandoned me when I was five. He and Kei-I mean Hawks found me." I explained.

He furrowed his brows again, "That means you moved out when you were 13. Why'd you move out so young?"

"Um... that's a little personal sir." I said, looking down.

"I get it. Do you all still keep in touch?" he asked.

"Um, not really... Hawks moved away when we were like 6 or 7 and I haven't been able to keep in touch with him much, just the occasional letter for the first year or so, and Touya... well he died."

"Oh, I'm sorry for your loss." Aizawa said.

"It's okay, I've gotten over it... I think." I muttered the last part, thinking about how I'm projecting him onto Dabi.

"No you haven't."

I looked up at Aizawa and tilted my head. "Losing a friend... one that close to you... you never get over that," he said.

"Did you lose someone close to you?" I asked.

He sighed and nodded. "A close friend. His name was Shirakumo. He was probably the most positive man I knew, always there to help anyone and anything, despite it not being practical."

I smiled and said, "Touya was definitely a kind kid. He picked me up when I was down and was really funny. Truly the best person I'd ever met, but he had a lot of mental issues, although I blame that on his dad."

Aizawa tilted his head in curiosity. "Um... his dad trained him a lot, giving him the mental state of needing to be strong, needing to be a hero, and then when he got his quirk... well it hurt him. Kind of like Midoriya... but it wasn't something he could just fix. His dad stopped training him, and stopped giving him any attention whatsoever, and that kind of drove Touya insane... and because of that, he ended up burning himself alive with his own quirk." I said, hugging my knees close to my chest.

Aizawa sighed and said, "Man, that's... heavy. But it's in the past, and I guess you just have to move on from that. It's probably what he'd want.

I smiled and looked up at him. "Yeah. I guess he would want that. Despite his inability to let go of the past, I think he'd want me to be happy." I said to myself, chuckling at his stubbornness, "Same for Shirakumo. He'd want you to live your life."

He looked down at me and smirked, "I guess he would."

Dabi's POV

"Achoo!"

"Wow Dabi, are you allergic to something or what?" Toga asked.

"No. My nasal glands burned up years ago."

Italics are for Twice's voice that says the opposite of what he means.

Twice thought for a moment before saying,

"I've got no clue!"

"I've got it! Someone's talking about you!"

"But who'd talk about Dabi?" Toga asked.

I smirked and said, "Are they seriously talking about me?"

"Who?" Toga asked.

"Just a friend of mine." I replied.

'Can't stop thinking about me, huh Y/n?'
