Aizawa told me to take a day off, so I did. Probably because there was no use in me going in that day as All Might was teaching their class combat training and stuff. I decided to go to a cafe because... well why not? I sat down at a cafe and ordered a f/d. I sipped on it and looked around. I then felt eyes on the back of my head. I turned around and the feeling faded, but I saw a man sitting behind me, looking down. His face was covered in purple patches of burnt skin held together by a lot of staples. 'Damn, what happened to him?' I thought to myself as I turned back around.

Dabi's POV

It's them? No... I mean they look exactly like them. I didn't even notice I was staring until they started to turn around. I looked down quickly and looked at them through the reflection on my table. 'Their eyes. They look like theirs.' I remarked to myself.

When they turned back around, I looked back up and I saw them tense up. "Why don't you take a picture? It'll last longer?" they said.

I chuckled and stood up. I walked to their table and said, "Do you mind if I sit?"

They shook their head and gestured to the seat across from them. I sat down and met their gaze. 'It's them, no doubt about it.' I thought to myself.

Their gaze then turned sad and they shook their head. "Are you doing alright?" I asked.

"Yeah. You just... remind me of someone I knew a long time ago." they said.

'Are they talking about me? Do they seriously still recognize me after all these years and all of these burns?' I thought to myself.

"What happened to them?" I asked.

"That's none of your business." they snapped.

We were silent for a few seconds before they asked, "So why were you staring at me?"

I chuckled and remarked, "What, am I not allowed to look at attractive people?"

They narrowed their eyes and sighed before saying, "If that's all you want, then I'm not interested."

I chuckled again and said, "Is it the face?"

They sighed and said, "It has nothing to do with you."

"Oh, are you aro or something? Or do you not swing that way?" I asked, knowing I was getting on their nerves.

They glared at me and I said, "Or did you swear off romance after you lost your one true love?"

That seemed to be it because they jumped from their seat, grabbed me by the collar, and said, "Listen here pal. I don't know what you're playing at, but you are treading on some mighty thin ice, so I'd suggest you back off."

Their voice was so dark and demanding. Not gonna lie, it's hot. I then noticed the room started to get darker and thought to myself, 'Aw. Still haven't been able to grow out of that habit I see?'

They scoffed and let go of my shirt, mumbling to themself as they sat back down. "Actually I was staring at you because you remind me of someone I used to know as well." I said.

They eyed me suspiciously and asked, "What's your name?"

"I'm going by Dabi right now, you?" I asked.

"L/n." They said.

They looked at their phone and said, "Well I gotta go. See you around, Dabi."

They walked away without another word. "See you around, Y/n."
