My phone started buzzing so I pulled it out of my pocket. I looked at the screen and happily picked up the call. Then just like that, I was running as fast as I could, my heart beating out of my chest.

Endeavor's POV

"You know, since tomorrow's Saturday I was thinking maybe everyone could come to dinner?" Fuyumi suggested.

I smiled a small bit, and then I thought of Y/n. 'I kicked them out when they didn't deserve it. They were just an angry teenager who didn't deserve to be kicked out.... I should make it up to them...' "Fuyumi. Do you have a way to contact Y/n?" I asked.

"Yeah, I have their number. Why?" she asked.

"Can you invite them to dinner?" I asked.

Fuyumi was quiet for a second before saying, "But didn't you ban them from the house?"

"I did, but I want to make up with them. They can come."

I swear I could hear Fuyumi's smile. "Alright, I'll let them know."

Time skip

We walked in and sat down at dinner. I noticed that Y/n wasn't there, so I quirked my eyebrow at Fuyumi. She smiled a bit and then I heard someone storm through the house. "Fuyumi?!" Y/n called out, fear and concern in their voice.

They broke open the door with a shadow sword in hand, before they stopped in their tracks and took in the situation for a second, glancing in between me, the students, and Fuyumi. "Fuyumi... did you lie to me to get me here?" they asked as the sword in their hand faded.

Fuyumi walked up and grabbed their arm. "Sorry Y/n, but I figured you wouldn't come with an invitation."

She struggled to pull them into a chair, Y/n struggling against her. "What is L/n-sensei doing here?" Midoriya asked.

"Fuyumi let me go!" Y/n yelled, trying to pry Fuyumi's arm off of theirs so they could get away.

"I invited them to dinner," I explained.

Y/n stopped in their tracks. Natsuo, Shoto, Bakugou, Midoriya, and Y/n stared at me in disbelief. "W-what?" Natsuo said.

"I th-thought... I thought I wasn't allowed to..." Y/n stuttered.

"They used to live here, so they technically are apart of the family," I pointed out.

Y/n scoffed, muttering to themself. "Come on Y/n, eat with us," Fuyumi pleaded, pulling on their arm.

Y/n glanced at me before sighing, "Fine."

They sat down in between Fuyumi and Natsuo. "Let's do introductions again. I'm Fuyumi, Shoto's older sister and I teach at an elementary school nearby. That's Natsuo, Shoto's older brother. He's in college. And I guess you all know Y/n, they lived here for about 8 years."

We began eating and the boys started gushing over the food. "Not surprised, our house keeper suffered a back injury and had to retire early so Fuyumi's been doing all the cooking." Natsuo explained.

"That's not true Natsu, we all took turns took turns." Fuyumi said.

"Wait, so does that mean I ate your food growing up?" Shoto asked.

"It's possible, although I did go overboard on seasoning. Endeavor might have kept you from eating it. He did keep a close eye on your diet." Natsuo said, glaring at me.

Midoriya and Bakugou got extremely tense. Fuyumi coughed and said, "Y/n did too, they were actually pretty good at it."

Y/n smirked and said, "Although anytime I tried cooking, Touya would come in and ruin it. That boy truly was a terrible cook."

My kids chuckled a bit, and I even cracked a smile. Midoriya furrowed his eyebrows and muttered, "Was?"

Bakugou then furrowed his eyebrows and muttered to himself.

I coughed and said, "Natsu, why don't we have your food next time?"

He sighed and said, "I'm sorry sis, but I can't do this. I came like I said I would, but now I'm done."

Fuyumi sadly watched her brother leave as Y/n sat quietly, sneaking glances at me. "Do you have anything you want to say to me, Y/n?" I asked.

They sighed and said, "While I do, I'd rather not say so in front of my students."

We finished dinner in an awkward silence and began cleaning up. I walked out and decided to go to Touya's shrine.

Your POV

We were cleaning up the table and Fuyumi asked Shoto how he felt about Endeavor. I listened to his response and silently agreed. I looked at Shoto and said, "I don't think I can forgive him either. I mean he abused you and Mom. He drove Touya to... do what he did, and kicked me out shortly after. He's not a good man."

Fuyumi nodded sadly, then we heard growling outside the room. "If you're going to talk about sensitive subjects, don't do it when you have guests, there are dishes that need to be washing!" Bakugou yelled.

Midoriya and Bakugou walked in and Midoriya awkwardly said, "Todoroki filled us in so we're in the know."

'Shoto trusted them enough to tell them?' I thought as a small smile came to my face, 'I'm so glad he has friends he can trust.'

Then Midoriya sweetly looked over at Shoto and began telling him how kind he is and that he thinks Shoto's getting ready to forgive Endeavor. He then looked at me and said, "You too. I don't think you have to forgive him, but you're also very kind. So who knows."

I looked down and said, "I don't think it's that simple, Midoriya."

He tilted his head and I twiddled my thumbs. "I think they're talking about Touya." Fuyumi muttered.

Bakugou's eyes widened in realization, but he remained quiet. "Who is he?" Midoriya asked.

"Our older brother." Fuyumi said.

"Your older brother?" Midoriya asked.

Fuyumi and I nodded. "I'm surprised Shoto hasn't mentioned him."

"That's not an easy subject to talk about." Shoto said.

"I have heard of him before. When L/n-sensei and I were kidnapped, the villains mentioned him. They said that Endeavor killed him." Bakugou said.

Fuyumi looked at me with confused eyes. "I still don't know how Dabi knew about him, but he was right." I explained.

Fuyumi sighed, "Natsu and Y/n blame Dad for his death, they were especially close to Touya."

"I mean he did drive Touya insane." I muttered.

"It wasn't Dad's fault. Touya wasn't in the right head space," Fuyumi countered.

"I was there when he died, I know he wouldn't do that to himself without a reason. In the days prior, Touya would talk to me about feeling irrelevant... especially since..."

I looked up at Shoto. He winced and said, "If anything it's my fault."

I shook my head. "No. You couldn't control that you got the quirk Endeavor wanted. Besides, it's Endeavor that put that stupid idea into his head. I don't care who you are, you don't condition a child to believe their entire existence is based on your desire to surpass someone else, and that if they fail then they're worthless."

Midoriya and Bakugou looked down awkwardly. I coughed and said, "I think it's time the three of you went back to the dorms."

"But sensei, what about you?" Midoriya asked.

"I can find my way back on my own. Plus... I want to go somewhere first." I said, thinking of visiting Touya's grave considering our birthday is in less than an hour.

The students walked out, and just before Shoto got into the car he said, "Happy birthday, Y/n."

I smiled and said, "Thanks Sho."

They drove off and Fuyumi said, "Get home safe, and happy birthday. You're what, 24 now?"

"Not for another 30 minutes, it's still the 17th. But thank you." I said, giving her a small hug.

She smiled and said, "Feel free to call me anytime so we can hang out. I really enjoy seeing you."

I nodded and said, "Alright."

I walked away and made my way to the graveyard. I walked in and sat down at Touya's grave. I checked my phone and it was 11:59. I blinked and it said 12:00. "Happy birthday, Touya." I muttered, hugging my knees into my chest.

I heard crunching snow behind me. I didn't even bother turning around, figuring it was one of two people. "Happy birthday, Y/n." Dabi said as he sat beside me.

I chuckled and said, "Seriously?"

"Yep," he said, popping the 'p' as he plopped down beside me.

I sighed and said, "What are you doing here?"

"I figured you'd be here. Besides, can I not do what I want on my birthday?" he asked.

I chuckled, "Oh yeah, I forgot you're Touya's 'long lost twin.'"

"Okay that might not be true, but it really is my birthday." Dabi said, looking at me.

I looked up into his sapphire eyes and sighed, "Three 24 year-olds with their birthday on the same day. How odd is that?"

Dabi chuckled. He then perked up and said, "Here. Since it's our birthday, we should blow out a candle."

"But we don't have any cake... or a candle." I said.

"Whatever, we can use my finger." he said, lighting a small fire on his finger.

I rolled my eyes and turned toward his finger. We locked eyes and counted, "3...2...1... now"

We blew out the flame at the same time, causing Dabi to lower his finger. I stared into his sapphire eyes, not even realizing he was leaning closer to me. "Dabi... who are you?" I asked.

He sighed, "Be patient. It'll all make sense soon."

I sighed and looked at my hands. He grabbed my shoulders and said, "Y/n, I-I'm sorry. For everything I've ever done to you. I thought I lost the ability to care for anyone, but I still care for you. So... I'm sorry."

I didn't look up at him. "It's okay." I muttered.

I then felt rough lips pressed against my forehead. I was frozen, unable to comprehend what was happening. Then, Dabi stood and said, "I love you. I always have."

Then he walked away without another word.
