I felt like I had run out of tears.

It had to have been nearing the early morning hours when Theo had managed to calm me down. I didn't have energy to feel embarrassed for how clearly I was broken by this.

"Are you asleep?" His voice was gentle, as gentle as his fingers were running through my hair as I laid in his arms, the darkness of his bedroom enveloping us.

"No," my voice was hoarse from all the crying, "I can't sleep..."

Too many painful thoughts were clouding my mind, preventing me from even closing my eyes in fear of everything disappearing. I was losing him, and after everything we had been through, I felt like I couldn't handle this.

"Me neither," Theo cleared his throat a little. My head was on his chest, body laying on top of his like a baby while listening to his steady heartbeat.

I was glad I didn't have to go to the hospital tomorrow. I only had to study a little, but even that seemed like an impossible task now.

"I have an idea."

"Please, I— I can't talk about the future anymore," my voice broke a little.

"You won't need to, love," he suddenly sat up, causing me to sit up on his lap in the process. My eyes met his in the darkness, and an overpowering sense of just wanting to forget everything and drown in him filled me.

"Let's go for a drive," Theo gave me a small smile, and my brows furrowed.

"What time is it?"

He reached for his phone and the light coming from his screen illuminated our surroundings, "4 AM."

"There's no place to drive to," the tiniest laugh slipped my lips, somehow able to be amused by his suggestion.

His dark eyes focused on mine immediately, and his smile widened just a little.

"Yes, there is. Trust me on this, it'll be fun," and then he closed the small space between us to kiss me, holding himself up in a sitting position with one hand behind him.

I kissed him back, but all too soon he pulled back. I felt his hand on my behind, giving it a gentle smack as an encouragement for me to get up.

"Are we really going on a drive?" I asked quietly and climbed off his lap onto the bed.

"Yes."

__

"Which one?"

I had never been in his garage before, and was astonished by the variety of cars he had here.

Some must cost more than an average person made in a year, but I was too tired by reality to care.

"What's the fastest?" I turned to find him watching me with a faint smile.

His brows raised at me a bit, "are you sure you're up for that? I've got pretty fast cars..."

I shrugged, "I can handle it. I want to feel like I'm flying."

A small chuckle slipped his lips, before he nodded for me to follow him. I did. We walked past a few cars - not all of them were expensive sports cars, some looked like classics - before reaching a very futuristic looking sleek black sports car.

Theo opened up the passenger's side door for me, "get in, Tinker Bell."

"Bossy. I like it," I managed a small smile, knowing he wanted to take my mind as far away as possible from his likely move to Spain soon.

Before sitting down in the very low car, I cupped his jaw and gently kissed him.

"I love you," I spoke in an almost inaudible whisper against his lips, "so much."

He kissed me back for a short moment, before I got in the rather frightening car and Theo closed the door behind me.

__

"Woohoo!" I laughed when he pressed down on the gas pedal and made it feel like we were zooming through the air.

We were driving down a wide and empty road, keeping our eye out for anyone or possible traffic cameras, all while enjoying the moment. Theo had taught me to live in the moment and, especially right now, I appreciated it more than anything.

Coldplay was blasting through the amazing speaker system, and he really had managed to make me feel better and forget how I'd been a sobbing mess for the past three hours.

"Are you enjoying yourself?" He was grinning lightly, glancing at me whenever he deemed safe.

"Definitely. This is amazing!" I replied over the music, "why don't you drive me around in Lamborghinis more often?"

His hand reached over to my thigh, slowing down to a stop by a dark street. I felt exhilarated, my heart racing and adrenaline coursing through my veins.

"You look amazing," Theo cleared his throat after turning the car off, "maybe I should drive you around in Lambos more often..."

I laughed gently and nudged him, reality slowly creeping in with him watching me as if getting ready to lose me. Like he wanted to remember this forever, just incase there would never be a chance to see me laughing or smiling again.

"I think we've woken half of London," I spoke quietly, unwilling to look away from his dark eyes so focused on mine from the driver's seat.

"I think so too," he shrugged with a grin, "come, let's go watch the sun rise."

__

I had been hesitant at first. Only because this was a public park near the center of London, and there was a high chance others would be here too.

A few people jogged past us, even when it was 5 AM, and we saw a couple of dog walkers as well. We pulled up out hoods, and blended in with the dimness.

Theo and I sat around on a bench until the sun began rising. I had my legs thrown over his while his arm held me leaning against his side by going over my shoulders.

"Do you think we look like a homeless couple?" I had to ask, smiling to myself.

He let out a laugh, "that's definitely something to think about, birdie. We could start running, then we'd look like joggers..."

"No, I'm not running," I quickly refused, "you do remember how last time ended? I almost had to go to the hospital because of an injury!"

I was overreacting, hoping it would make him laugh again.

"It was just a small cut, Scarlett," he chuckled, "I remember how crazy I was about you then, already... we hadn't known long at all, but I couldn't help myself."

"I was so scared of things getting serious so soon, I was frightened of any kind of attention," a small laugh slipped my lips at the memory, "you said something about not wanting to feel lonely anymore, and I don't think I've ever overthought as much as I have then."

His arm over my shoulders tightened a little, his lips pressing against the top of my head which was covered by the hood of his hoodie that I had on.

"Are you still lonely?" I asked him gently, my hand slowly moving on to his thigh.

"No. I mean, I've had so many people around me constantly since I started getting good, and I have incredible friends, I was just... missing something," he explained, his voice lowering as a woman jogged past us, "and then by some bloody incredible chance I got you."

I leaned in to kiss his cheek. He gave me a smile and rested his free hand on my ankles, since I still had my legs over his lap on the park bench.

The dark sky began having an orange hue once the sun began setting. Colours added, first a more yellowish shade until it faded into pink.

"Theo."

"Yes?"

"I have such anxiety over the thought... the thought of you being in Spain and me in London, and the press printing all kinds of gossip about you, and—"

"You know there's no possibility of me cheating on you, love," Theo reminded me, and I sighed.

"I know... We both know that the rumours can be so convincing, with pictures and everything," I shook my head, "I can't mentally handle them, when you're so far away. There's no way. Please, understand..."

"I understand, Scarlett. We have to at least try, right?" He shifted, "long distance, I mean. If the transfer goes through..."

I let out a shaky breath and visibly deflated against his side.

"We'll call and text every day, okay? Or at least try to," Theo continued, intent on making this feel better for me, "I know it'll be hard, especially for you with the press..."

"I'm scared it'll be so bad for me that I'll forget how good things are when I'm with you," I admitted quietly, praying it was making sense. Theo was very aware of my feelings towards the press and rumours of him and us.

"No, no..." he shook his head, "that won't happen, love. I'll fly back here as often as I can, I'll keep my house here and you can stay there whenever you want. You have the key, right?"

"Yes.."

"And I'll also fly you out to see me whenever you have time off. It really won't be so bad, I promise you," he gave me a comforting smile.

I felt calm then, knowing we would both try out hardest to make things work. If it would be enough though, I couldn't be sure yet.

"Whatever happens, we'll make it work," I spoke after a moment.

"I love you, Tinker Bell."

I gave him a playful yet small grin, "I love you more."

"That's not possible," he shook his head with a quiet chuckle.

__

"Mum, don't yell, she's sleeping," I heard Theo's faint voice as my mind began waking up.

"I know, I know," he was speaking quietly, most likely on the phone with Anne. I felt his smooth skin underneath my hand and his bare side against my front.

"She's not moving with me to Spain, if the deal comes out to be," Theo continued, and I felt his fingers lightly ghosting along my spine, "no— mum, no. She's worked hard to build herself a life here, she's about to start working for a master's degree. I'm not taking that away from her. It's not like I would be in Real Madrid forever—"

The more I began waking up, the easier I could hear Anne's upset tone through his phone.

"I'm working with my manager, lawyer, and Coach to get the transfer to be as short as possible. My club will make a counter offer—"

She seemed very frustrated. Things began piecing themselves together in my head.

Theo and I had watched the sun rise very early this morning as his successful attempt to get my mind away from the huge bomb he'd dropped on me yesterday.

It must be past midday, and BBC had surely reported on Theo's likely transfer to Real Madrid. I would avoid every social media site today and for the following week, knowing this news would make the whole world go crazy.

My eyes fluttered open, and I tilted my gaze upwards a bit to be able to look up at him with a gentle smile.

Once Theo registered I was awake, he returned my smile and began bringing the phone call to an end.

Teasingly, I began trailing the tips of my fingers along his hard chest, tracing his muscles before slowly moving downward as my hand slipped underneath the duvet.

"Mum, I've got to go. I'll talk to you later, okay?" Theo's attention perked almost instantly after I'd gently kissed his neck, "yeah— no. You can talk to her later, okay? Love you, bye."

He hung up astronomically fast, and placed his phone away when my fingers brushed over his abs. I felt them clenching underneath my touch, and found his dark eyes focused on me.

"What're you up to?" Theo wondered almost playfully, and I smiled with a small shrug.

"Thanking you for being the single most caring person to me," I murmured and began sensually kissing his neck, running the tip of my tongue along a small vein which was visible thanks to his neck straining when my fingers reached his prominent v-line.

"Yeah... shit... any time, Scarlett..." he breathed out when my hand dipped lower and lower, soon taking a gentle hold of his member.

With his free hand, he moved my face toward his before pressing his lips against mine.
