"Scarlett, they love you," he was showing me some of the retweets and replies to the video of me he'd tweeted yesterday.

I scanned over a few of them, noticing how much more kind and sweet people there now were compared to before.

I smiled, "there's almost no hate at all, I can't believe it."

"There will always be hate. Just focus on the people who think you're thick," he grinned, teasing me.

"That's something to live by," I laughed and nudged him playfully, before continuing with winging out my eyeliner for tonight.

__

"Thank you for inviting me along, Scarlett," Emma gave me a small smile through the bathroom mirror. I finished reapplying a light coat of my lipstick and turned to her.

"Of course, any time."

"I don't have many friends, with all the effort that I have to put into mine and Justin's relationship..."

My heart sank a little. If she had that kind of a life trying to hide their relationship, I wondered what a life I'd have being public with Theo. I calmed myself and assured myself that everything was going to work out fine.

"I understand," I nodded, "let's get back, I'm sure the drinks have arrived already."

She smiled widely, a smile which instantly made me smile as well.

__

"What exactly do you do?" Linda asked, sipping her drink with her eyes focused on Emma beside me.

We all focused on her as she glanced down at her lap with a small laugh, "I'm a information security analyst."

We all remained quiet, completely unaware of what she actually did as an information security analyst.

"What exactly do you do, as an information security analyst?" Linda asked again, a grin on her red lips.

"I work for a computer company. I protect them from cyber attacks, and all that fun stuff. I'm basically a hacker," she explained.

"That sounds exciting," I nudged her gently, finishing my second drink, "does that mean you hack for fun?"

"No, of course not," she laughed, "I hack to stop hackers... it's complicated."

"Everything's so complicated these days," Cherry sighed, not having smiled once tonight.

Unknown to Emma, Cherry had had another rough patch with Aaron. Their relationship was hanging by a thread, about to crumble for the hundredth time.

Underneath our table, I found Cherry's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. She turned her head to me, the smallest smile on her lips. It was a sad smile, though.

"What star sign are you?" Elise was leaning her elbows on the table, leaning closer to Emma.

Her brows furrowed a bit and her head tilted, "I'm a pisces?"

"Ah! I love pisces!" Elise gushed.

"That's because you're pisces too," Linda gently rolled her eyes, the alcohol having loosened us all up.

"We are the best star-sign!" She persisted.

"We are," Emma agreed, nodding enthusiastically.

"Hey, girlies!" Red appeared by our table, exciting squeals from Emma and me. He sat down with a cocktail.

"Sorry I'm late, Felix and I tried out Facetime sex, or whatever they call it these days," he shrugged casually and sipped the colourful drink through a pink straw.

We laughed, and I introduced Red to Linda, Elise and Cherry, and the other way around as well.

"You're together with Felix North?" Elise's interest perked.

"Mhm."

"He's a Libra, isn't he?" She then moaned out, "I can't even imagine the sex—"

"Why don't you give it a rest with those zodiac signs, hm?" Laura laughed, cutting an enthusiastic Elise off. The two exchanged small looks, but shrugged it off in good spirit.

"He is a Libra, yes," Red told Elise, who smirked knowingly.

"Are you two going to Russia at some point?" I asked the two after ordering another drink.

We were in a rather secluded area, so I wouldn't have to concern myself with anyone taking pictures of me secretly. It was also rather dim in this laid-back and relaxed club.
The only place that had proper lights were a few platforms, on which women in barely nothing were dancing sensually.

"Oh, definitely," Red nodded, his light blue eyes seeming so much darker with our surroundings.

"I was thinking about it, Justin wants me to come, but I just don't know when would be a good time," Emma shrugged, "are you?"

"I'm not sure yet," I told them. Theo had offered to fly me out to Russia, but I had told him I would think about it. Now with everything that had happened, and his sprain, we had both just forgotten it. I was more than fine just supporting him from the couch in my living room.

Our (what we called) 'girl's night out' continued smoothly. We had more drinks, and then turned to dancing.

My neighbour had been kind enough to take care of Frosty, but I knew I couldn't stay apart from her much longer. It was already hard enough to spend time with my cat with my studies, I shouldn't be staying at Theo's for long periods of time, even if I'd only stayed at his for only last night during recent history.

Theo had wanted me to spend the night tonight as well. I hadn't given him an answer just yet, though, and doubt I would be with this amount of alcohol in my system. I wasn't drunk, just a giggly and tipsy being.

Linda was suddenly tugging me to the women's bathrooms, Lord knows how many hours past midnight at this point.

"Hey, slow down," I stumbled a little in my heels, confused at her sudden rush, "is everything okay?"

Some of the men had been pretty hands-on out there, but had left us be after a few 'bugger offs' or 'piss offs'.

"Elise and I snogged," she turned to me once we reached a quiet and secluded hallway.

My brows raised, "oh, wow."

Linda didn't seem pleased at all; more stressed than I'd ever seen her.

"Why?" I had to ask. With the way she was always criticising Elise's interest in astrology and zodiac signs, I would have never thought there to be any chemistry between the two.

"I feel like I've made a grand fuck up," she let out a deep sigh, "I doubt she'll even remember it... I have feelings for her, Lettie."

"You have to tell her, Linda," I encouraged her, "kissing her like this won't lead to anything serious. Invite her for lunch or dinner with you tomorrow."

"But then she'll want to invite you too," Linda pointed out.

"You're right. Too bad I'm not in London," I shrugged, a mischievous grin forming onto my lips.

"Oh?"

"Theo and I are driving over to my fathers for his birthday," I explained, "you'll have Elise all to yourself. Cherry's working tomorrow, anyway."

"Oh," she let out an almost breathless laugh, the music from the rest of the building resonating here in muffled waves.

"I've never seen you this nervous, it's very sweet," I had to tease my dearest friend, "you're not such a big toughie anymore, are you?"

"Oh, hush," she shook her head with a laugh and gently nudged me, "alcohol just makes me stress my balls off."

"For most it does the opposite, but alright..." I winked at her.

Linda chuckled, "I know. And I know I should have told you this sooner, I just didn't want to get myself excited over something maybe happening with Elise and me. We're complete opposites, but I can't stop admiring her and her personality."

"Opposites—" I began.

"Opposites attract, I know," she shrugged it off, "I used to hate it when people used that phrase, but now I feel as if I'm living by it..."

Oh, how I could relate. I gave her a smile, "get back there, I'm sure Elise is searching for you."

My phone vibrated in the small purse I had brought with me. Knowing Elise the way I did, I could almost be certain it was her texting and wondering where Linda had disappeared with me.

"Sure," she nodded, eyes moving to the dark floor underneath our feet, "thanks, Lettie."

"There's no need to—" I was giggling lightly, about to tell her there was nothing she needed to thank me for, before she hugged me. I hugged back and relaxed into her arms.

Once Linda had begun making her way back to where everyone else was, I took out my phone. I should have realised it wouldn't have been Elise, but Theo.

From: Theo: Stay tonight at mine x

To: Theo: I might have to stay at mine, sorry. I don't like leaving Frosty alone for nights in a row x

From: Theo: You can bring her over to my house.

To: Theo: I thought you didn't like her, haha?

From: Theo: But I like you so much more than I dislike that devil cat, birdie x

To: Theo: We're spending the whole weekend together, do you really need me to stay the night? I would have to wake up early to go to my home anyway, to get my suitcase and everything...

From: Theo: Alright, fine. Just don't be too hungover, okay? Can I text Alfred to come pick you up and drive you to yours?

To: Theo: Stop worrying about me, I'm sharing a taxi with Cherry, she's sleeping over. x

From: Theo: Okay, sure. Just send me a message when you get home (:

To: Theo: Will do, captain!

From: Theo: It's assistant captain, but whatever...

From: Theo: ❤️

I returned back to my friends and we spent the next hour and an half letting loose and having the greatest time.

Cherry and I took a taxi over to my house. As much fun as she had been having after the first hour at the club once we'd had drinks and loosened up, she had really began going downhill not long after.

I knew she was upset about more drama between Aaron and her, and this time I knew it wasn't her doing.

Cherry and I stayed up and talked until the early morning hours, after I'd texted Theo good night.

It felt amazing to me to have someone who genuinely cared so much as to want to know you got home okay. Of course my friends did, but not in the way Theo did. I had never felt anything like this, the way he was with me.

I felt crazy just thinking about him.
