You and Dipper's Age: 14

~•~Your POV~•~

My eyes shot open as I jolted upwards.

"W-here's Dipper?!" Was the only thing I could say.

Then I felt someone lunge at me, hugging me tightly.

"You're finally awake!" The person yelled, sounding like they were crying tears of joy.

I looked around the room. I'm in a- hospital room? I looked at the person who was still hugging me, and knew who it was right away seeing his messed up brown hair and his little dorky pinetree hat. I laughed a little and hugged him back. I then noticed that my right arm had a cased on it.

"I'm here now." I said, feeling tears form in my eyes.

I stopped hugging him, but he was still hugging me.

"Uh, Dipper? You can stop hugging me now." I said laughing nervous.

"I'm never leaving your side ever again." He mumbled still hugging me.

I felt my face heat up. Then the door opened. I looked to see who it was. It was Mabel.

"Dipper, I heard noises in here. Are you-"

She paused as she looked at me. I gave a small wave with my broken arm but it was hard since Dipper was still hugging me. Her eyes lite up and a big smile grew on her face.

"(Y/n)!" She yelled, running over to me, joining with Dipper in a hug.

But she let go after about a few 5 seconds. She giggled when she looked at Dipper.

"You know, after the incident, Dipper came here everyday waiting for you. He would talk to you about what's been happening lately." Mabel said.

"So that's why I was think about exploding Mac-and-Cheese!" I laughed, "Also, what happened? I can't really remember. I only remember that it was late at night and I was with Dipper."

Sadness came into Mabel eyes, which almost made me want to cry. Dipper finally stopped hugging me, but he sat next to me in the hospital bed.

*FLASHBACK*

"Thanks for the nice hangout Dip." You said, walking along side Dipper. "No problem." He said. It was late at night and there was a small storm coming. Once it started to rain, you two started to pick up the paste. You then heard thunder and a strike of lightning. "We should run." You said. "Come on! Let's go!" He yelled, grabbing your hand and running. You two were running for your dear life now, hearing crashes from behind you. Then you both saw a strike of lightning hit a tree right in front of you two. It started to fall, and you knew it was about to land on Dipper. "Dipper! Watch out!" You yelled pushing him out of the way. He tumbled over, doing three summers salts as he heard a loud crash. He moaned as he got up, rubbing his head. But then he felt his heart stop. "(Y/n)!" He yelled, running over to the tree that fell over. He spotted your body laying on the ground, unconscious. He kneeled down in front of you, shaking you lightly. "(Y-Y/n)" he asked with a crack in his voice. You didn't answer. He put his head against your chest to see if you were still breathing. Your heart was still beating, you weren't dead. A small sigh of relief escaped Dipper's mouth. But he still felt tears fall down his face. "Please wake up (Y/n)." He said in a whisper, "Please."

*FLASHBACK OVER*

Dipper just retold what happened. It all started to come back now. Coming back from the arcade, the storm, the tree falling down, feeling a sharp pain then blacking out. I felt tears form in my eyes.

"H-ow long h-ave I been out?" I asked.

"Too long." Dipper said looking down.

"About a month." Mabel said.

"A mo-nth!?" I said.

"Mabel! Don't get her wiped up. She needs rest." Dipper said.

"I'm fine Dipper." I said.

"No (Y/n), you're not fine. You were out for a month." He said.

"Dipper-"

"You need rest!" He said cutting me off.

We were quiet.

"Come on Dipper, let's get the doctor and tell them that she's awake." Mabel said pulling him out of the room.

As he was being dragged out, he was looking at me with worry on his face. Once they finally left, I sighed. He might be too worried. Is this a bad thing? No. Yes? I don't know.

A few minutes later, they came back into the room, followed by my parents, their great uncle, and a nurse. My mom started to cry with joy as she planted kiss all over my face. I laughed. My dad hugged me as the nurse gave me a snack to eat. It was a bag of chocolate chip cookies and some orange juice. She placed the tray on my lap.

"Press the button on the side of the bed if you need anything else." The nurse said sweetly as she left the room.

Dipper sat next to me on the hospital bed again, watching me take a bit out of one of my cookies. I looked at him.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing. I'm just making sure you don't choke on them." He said.

My god Dipper. But I just gave him a small smile.

"O-K." I said, continuing to eat the cookies.

*One Week Later (say it like the narrator from SpongeBob)*

I was being helped by one of the nurses. She was walking me outside, towards where everyone was waiting for me. Once I was outside, I was greeted by everyone. Dipper came over to me and helped me walk after the nurse said goodbye.

"Dipper, I can walk. I'm not crippled." I said laughing at my own joke.

"I know. I'm just making sure you don't get hurt." He said.

Today was the day I was finally able to leave the hospital. I was getting sick of staying in my room all day. Dipper and Mabel asked my parents if I could go back to the Shack with them. My parents said it was ok. So I hoped in the car with Mabel and Dipper as Stan drove off. Dipper sat in the middle of us. He had and arm around me, holding me close. I felt my face heat up. But I knew why he was holding me, probably in case if there was a car accident or something. Once we reached the shack, we got out and walked towards the door. Once we stepped inside, the gift shop was packed!

"Wendy! Soos! Why didn't you tell me the Shack was packed with mon- I mean people!" Stan growled.

I started to walk through, but then I was stopped by someone picking me up. Dipper was holding my bridal style.

"D-ipper!? What are y-ou doing?!" I yelped.

He didn't answer. He walked through the crowd stilling holding me, pushing people out of the way. As we went through the 'Employees Only' door, he sat me down on the couch.

"W-hat was t-hat for!?" I asked.

"I was making sure no one would knock you over." He said.

I sighed. This was going to be a long day.

:::::A few days later:::::

I was at the shack, sitting on the couch with Dipper watching tv. Dipper's been asking me to stay at the shack for the past few days. I'm started to think he's being too protective or too- clingy. I was flipped through the channels, until I landed on and inappropriate show accidentally.

"Inappropriate!" Dipper yelled grabbing the remote from my hands and throwing it at the tv.

It smashed the screen. But I didn't yell at him. I just sighed as Stan walked into the room.

"Kid! This is like the fifth time this week!" Stan yelled, "You're paying this out of your allowance!"

I rolled my eyes as I hoped off the couch.

"Where do you think you're going (Y/n)?" Dipper asked, stepping in front of me.

"Upstairs. I want to talk with Mabel." I said pushing him out of the way.

"At least let me carry you up the steps." Dipper said.

"No Dip-"

He picked me up anyways. He's starting to really annoy me now! Once we got on top of the steps, he gentle put me down.

"Stay. Here." I said walking over to their room.

I opened the door and closed it. Mabel was on her bed playing with Waddles.

"Hey (Y/n), what's up?" Mabel asked.

"I want to talk to you." I said walking over to her bed.

"'Bout what?" She asked.

I looked at the door, then back at her.

"Dipper." I whispered, in case he was listening through the door, which he does some times, "He's been acting weird lately after the incident."

"Yeah, I know. It's kinda scary." Mabel said,
"But you know he's just protecting you, right?"

"Yeah but, it's getting worse. He just smashed the tv screen downstairs." I said.

"Again?!" Mabel pouted, "I was planning to watch Ducktective later!"

"I know. I think he's getting- clingy." I said.

Mabel nodded at me.

"What am I going to do?" I asked her.

She was quiet, but she answered.

"Just- talk with him." She said, putting a hand on my shoulder.

I nodded at her. I hoped off her bed and towards the door. Once I opened the door, I saw Dipper fall over in front of me.

"Were you listening to our conversation again?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

"M-maybe." He said.

I rolled my eyes as I looked at Mabel. She gave me a half smile and shrugged. I walked past him and started downstairs. But of course he picked me back up and walked me down the steps. Once we got to the bottom, I headed towards the door.

"Where are you going? Are you leaving?" Dipper asked.

I groaned as I stepped outside, closing the door. But the door opened again as Dipper ran out.

"(Y/n), don't leave-"

"Dipper! That's enough!" I yelled facing him.

He had shock on his face but with anger and worry too.

"You need to, like, step back! You're being really clingy lately!" I yelled.

"Because I need to protect you!" He shouted.

"I know, but you're taking this way too far! You smashed the tv, you've been ignoring your sister and friends, your always right next to me! And I'm getting kinda sick of it!" I yelled, feeling tears form in my eyes, "I want the old Dipper back! Not the clingy one!" I yelled.

"Well he's gone now! The old one could have never been able to protect you! Now the new one can! And I'd do anything to protect you, even if I have to die for you!" Dipper yelled.

"I don't want you to sacrifice yourself for me!"

"Who cares?!" Dipper shouted.

"I care!" I yelled back, "Maybe I should hurt myself again to teach you some kind of lesson!"

I watched as the anger from him disappeared.

"Don't!" Dipper yelled with fear, his face pale.

"You know what?! I will!" I shouted running off towards the forest.

"(Y/n)! Stop!" Dipper yelled running after me.

I felt the tears pour down my face. I'll teach him some lesson! Something! Anything! But my train of thought was interrupted by someone grabbing my wrist. Of course it was Dipper.

"Let go of me!" I shouted.

"Never! I need to protect you! I'm never let you go!"

"Why not!"

"I can't say!"

"Dipper, tell me!"

"No!"

"Dipper-"

"I said no! Let's go!"

"I'm not going back! Tell me right now or else I will hurt myself! Right here, right now!"

"No!"

"I'll do it right in front of you!"

"(Y/n)! I can't!"

"Dang it Dipper! Just-"

I was interrupted by Dipper. He had kissed me on the lips for a long time. When he leaned back, our faces were both red.

"I-I love you (Y/n). I-I can't lose you again!" He said looking at the ground, tears going down his face, "I can't."

We were both quiet, the wind blowing my (H/l) (H/c) hair and his messed up, dark brown hair. My face was still red. I lifted his head up, tears still falling down his face. I smiled a little.

"Why do you think I saved your life that night?" I said laughing a little, "I-I love you too."

I wiped his tears off his face. He gave a small smile back.

"Look, I'll be more careful for now on, but you can't be as protective and clingy like the past few days, ok?" I asked.

He looked unsure at first, still looking worried. But he nodded.

"I can still protect you though right?" He asked.

I nodded.

"But not too protective." I said.

We both laughed. I leaned towards him and kissed his cheek.
