Elizabeth and Dipper's Age: 15

~•~Elizabeth POV~•~

"Hey Ellie!" I heard Dipper call out.

I was sitting on the steps of the Mystery Shack, thinking about a song I had stuck in my head. I turned around to face Dipper, my friend/crush. I smiled at him.

"Hey Dip! What's up?" I said, pushing my glasses back in place.
"I was wondering if you'd like to join me on a monster hunt tonight?" Dipper asked, sitting next to me on the step.
"Tonight? Why not now?" I asked, tucking a strand of my long, light brown hair behind my ear.
"Well, the creature I am looking for only comes out late at night." Dipper said.
"I-I don't know. What if something really bad happens? Like we get attacked? Or we get lost?" I asked worriedly.
"We'll be fine. Trust me." Dipper said, half smiling.

I looked at him blankly, still unsure. Is this a good idea? What if something happens to us? What if something happens to- him? He tilted his head at me, making me giggle. I sighed, know me, I'd do anything for him. I love him.

"Fine." I said.

"You ready Ellie?" Dipper asked.
"Yup!" I said, adjusting the small blue and green backpack.
"Ok, let's go then!" Dipper said, starting to walk off in the forest.

I followed. It was really late at night. Well, it was late for me. It was only around midnight. I'm usually reading one of my books or watching anime at home around this time. We started to walk deeper and deeper into the forest, into we couldn't see any light from either the Mystery Shack or the town. We ended up walking around for over and hour, and still didn't find the creature. I yawned.

"Dipper, let's just head back. I'm really tired." I said, yawning again.
"We're almost there. Just a little further." He said.
"Jeez, you care about this monster more then me?" I said, laughing a little.
"That's not true." Dipper said, looking at me.
"Mmhmm." I mumbled.

He laughed a little and rolled his eyes. We continued to walk in silence. But then Dipper stopped me.

"What is it?" I asked.

He didn't answer, only pointed out in the horizon. I looked at what he was pointing at. It was some kind of hole in the air. Like- a portal or something.

"It looks like a portal." Dipper said.
"Let's get a closer look!" I said, running towards it, letting my curiosity take over me.
"Ellie! Wait! It might be dangerous!" Dipper yelled, running after me.

I was about to reach it, when someone bumped into me. We tumbled on the ground, then all I saw was black.

***

"Ellie? Ellie?! Ellie!" I heard someone yell.

I shot up. Dipper was shaking me.

"Wha-what happened?" I asked, rubbing my head.
"I accidentally tripped, and we kinda both fell through the portal, I think." Dipper said.
"What?!" I yelled, throwing my hands up in the air.

Dipper didn't answer though. His eyes widened though, looking at something behind me.

"E-Ellie!" He yelled, pointing behind me.

I turned around and gasped.

"The- The portal! I-it's closing!" I yelled, starting to run towards it, "No!"

But by the time I got to the portal, it disappeared. I just stood there, staring at where the portal used to be.

"...No..." I mumbled.

I felt tears form in my eyes.

"No No No No No!" I yelled.
"Ellie, it'll be ok. T-there might be something in the journal-"
"No Dipper!" I yelled facing him.

He looked shocked at how I snapped at him.

"This is your fault! You just had to look for that monster! And bring me along!" I yelled.

"My fault?! We wouldn't have been here if you didn't run towards the portal!" Dipper yelled back at me.

"No Dipper! This is your fault! Now we're stuck here! I'm never going to see my family again! We're going to die here!" I yelled.

I fell on my knees to the ground, closing my eyes, letting the tears stream down my face.

"I can't believe you'd think I'd do this to you." I heard Dipper mumble.
"Well you did!" I snapped, opening my eyes and looked up at him.

I noticed that he looked heartbroken, sadness coming over him, but anger at the same time. It kinda made me more upset to see him like this. He pulled out his journal and flipped through some pages.

"Here. Apparently, the author was smart enough to write down how to get back to your own dimension," Dipper snapped, looking at me then back at the journal, "But we'll need to find some certain stuff."

I stood up, wiped my eyes, and crossed my arms.

"I'm not talking to you." I said, walking in front of him.
"And where do you think you're going?!" He asked.
"A place where we can survive for the night." I snapped, still walking.

It was still night time. I heard Dipper run towards me and ended up walking side by side. We didn't talk at all. We finally came across a cave. So we decided to crash there for the night. Dipper started up a small fire, while I made a place where we can rest. I ended up using rocks as our pillows. All well.

We didn't have blankets, so we had to sleep with each other. I wouldn't mind this at all, actually thrilled, if I weren't in a fight with him. We settled down in our small 'bed' when we were ready to sleep. We had our backs to each other. After what felt like hours, I finally fell fast asleep.

~•~Dipper POV~•~

Right after I started to hear soft and quiet snores coming from Ellie, I knew she was asleep. I turned my body around, facing her. She was facing me now too. She looked so peaceful while she slept. A piece of her long, light brown hair was in her face. I tucked it behind her ear. A small smile came on to her face. I wonder what she's dreaming about. I wrapped my arm around her waist, pulling her closer to me, so I could keep her warm. I rested my chin on her head. I felt her rest her head on my chest. God she looked so adorable. I sighed.

"If only I had the guts to tell you how I really feel." I mumbled, then drifting off to sleep.

***

I opened my eyes and looked around. I remembered that I was in a different dimension. That I was with Ellie. Wait-

"Ellie?!" I called out, standing up.

She wasn't here. I started to walk out of the cave.

"Ellie!" I yelled, hearing birds fly away from a tree.

Where the hell did she go?! I started to panic. I ran in the forest, calling her name over and over again.

"Ellie!? Where are you?!" I yelled.

***

And hour had passed. I still haven't found Ellie. I'm really worried now. I felt tears form in my eyes. What if something happened to her? I would never forgive myself.

"Where could she be?" I mumbled to myself.

I regret yelling at her. I then hear a small yelp. My head shot around. I finally noticed something leaning against a tree. I ran towards it, gasping at what it was.

"Ellie!" I yelled, running up to her, kneeling in front of her.

Her leg was torn open, bad scrapes all over her. A puddle of blood around her. Her head slowly lifted up, looking at me.

"D-Dipper?" She said, almost whispering.

I felt the tears start streaming down my face. She's still conscious, but who knows how long.

"E-Ellie?! W-what happened?!" I asked.
"I-I tried to f-find the stuff we needed to get out of h-here, b-but I was attacked b-by a wolf a-and-"

She yelped and flinched. There were some tears going down her face too. She looked really pale, due to probably losing so much blood.

"E-Ellie! D-Don't worry, y-you're going to be ok! You're going to make it!" I said, tears still going down my face.

She nodded a little, her eyes closing a little.

"I-I found a-almost all of the stuff. I-I'm just m-missing one thing." She said, then flinched again.

I nodded. I then stood up and picked her up, putting her on my back.

"Don't worry, I'm going to make sure you get back home, even if something might happen to me." I said, trying to fight back my tears so I was able to see where I'm going.

***

I found the last thing I needed. But by the time I did, Ellie looked like on the edge of passing out.

"D-Dipper?" She whispered.

I settled her down on the ground as I started to set up making the portal.

"Yes Ellie?" I asked.
"I-If I don't make it-"
"Don't say that, you will make it!" I yelled, feeling tears form in my eyes again.

She sighed.

"I-If I don't make it, I j-just want you to k-know, that I.. I l-l-love y-you Dipper." She said.

More tears went down my face. As I was about to say something, her eyes closed.

"No..." I said, "No No No!"

I checked her pulse. It took me a while but I eventually I felt it beat. I sighed. She's still alive. Good. She must have passed out. I started to set up the stuff for the portal. Once I was about to get the portal to work, I closed my eyes, and thought of the person who kept me going:
