:::::A FEW MONTHS LATER:::::

~•~Dipper POV~•~

I've gotten closer to (Y/n), which I wanted. I've been the most romantic to her, even though I was still my awkward and nervous self. I went to the library recently and researched about vampires. I found out how to 'claim' someone, but it was going to take a lot of convincing to get (Y/n) on board when she falls for me. Dammit, I feel like I'm Edward Cullen and she's Bella Swan. Let's hope there won't be any Jacobs anytime soon...

Mabel reunited with her old friends when we returned, and when I mean old friends, I mean just Candy and Grenda. Remember, I barley had any friends years ago. I only had Mabel at the time. I mean, Soos and Wendy do count as friends too, but we weren't that close like me and Mabel. Now, (Y/n) is my only friend at the time. She is around a lot because I talk to her lot. About the vampire chez, or just having regular conversations about ourselfs.

At the moment (Y/n), Mabel, and I were hanging out. I told Mabel about the claiming thing and that I like (Y/n), but I didn't tell her I want to claim (Y/n). We were all watching TV, well, Mabel and I were. (Y/n) was furiously texting someone, mumbling curse words to herself.

"Uh, (Y/n)? You ok? You look pissed off?" I asked, Mabel finally noticing.

(Y/n) jumped a little and looked up at us. She turned off her phone and gave us a (fake) smile.

"Everything's fine- just... just fine." She said.

I wasn't falling for her trick. She's not fine. Something's bothering her. It kind of hurt me that she was keeping a secert from me. I mean, we're best friends (even though I want to be more then friends) and we should tell each other everything... wait, I take that back, maybe we shouldn't tell each other everything. Since I never said anything about claiming her.

"You sure?" I asked.

Before she could respond, she got a phone call. She looked at her phone and groaned.

"I'll... I'll be right back." She said, getting up from the chair and stepping out of the room.

A few minutes later, I heard her yell something, and then footsteps coming back into the room. I looked at her and she looked like she was on the verge of tears. I stood up from the ground and stood in front of her.

"(Y/n), I don't think you're ok. Do you need to talk?" I asked.

"No, I'm fine. It's none of your business." She said.

"(Y/n)-"

"Dipper, please." She pleaded.

I sighed and sat back down, not wanting to cause a fight. (Y/n) sat back down. Her phone went off again, but it was a text this time. She looked at her phone and growled. She turned off her phone again, this time putting her phone in her pocket.

"Hey, who wants to go to the diner?" (Y/n) asked.

"Okay! Can I invite Candy and Grenda?" Mabel asked.

"Uh, sure." (Y/n) said.

Ok, wasn't (Y/n) just angry a second ago? Now she's happy? Something was definitely going on, and I'm going to find out.

Whether she likes it or not.

:::::SMALL TIMESKIP:::::

Candy and Grenda finally arrived at the Shack and we made our way to the diner. Mabel, Candy, and Grenda walked ahead of us, while (Y/n) and I stayed behind. She was on her phone again, angry like before. I snuck a peek at the name of the person who was texting her. It was named 'The Asshole'. I laughed to myself. Typical (Y/n).

"Who's 'The Asshole'?" I asked.

(Y/n) immediately shut off her phone and looked at me.

"Nobody, and you shouldn't be looking at other people's phones while their having private conversations." (Y/n) snapped.

"Hey, I'm just looking out for my best friend, Ms. Grumpy-pants." I said, putting my hands up in defense

She rolled her eyes at me and went back on her phone.

:::::SMALL TIMESKIP:::::

We took our seats in a booth for five. The booth was shaped like a semi-circle. Mabel, Candy, and Grenda sat on the left side of the semi-circle while (Y/n) and I sat on the right side of the semi-circle. Mabel and I sat on the edges. I looked over at (Y/n). She was still texting that same person. Who was that person?! She got a call on her phone, but she declined it. I couldn't take it anymore.

I grabbed the phone out of her hands.

"DIPPER! GIVE ME MY FUCKING PHONE BACK!" She yelled.

"No! I want to know who you are texting, or else I will call this person right now!" I shouted back, some people looking at our booth.

The girls kept quiet and sat awkwardly during our argument. (Y/n)'s face went pale after what I said.

"Dipper, I can't-"

"Tell me right now, or I will call the person." I repeated, with a serious tone.

She still stared at me with wide eyes, breathing quickly and looking nervous. Finally, she closed her eyes and sighed. When she opened her eyes, I couldn't help but notice that there was sadness in her eyes.

"Fine." She sighed.

She looked around, probably making sure (maybe) a certian person wasn't here. She sighed agin, when she looked at me.

"It was my ex."

:::::TIMESKIP TO EARLY::::

  ~•~Your POV~•~

At the moment Dipper, Mabel, and I were hanging out. Dipper and I were closer then ever now. And I think I'm starting to have feelings for him too. I didn't tell anyone though. We were all watching TV, well, Mabel and Dipper were. I was getting text messages from my ex, Mitch. He was texting crap to me like,

The Asshole: I miss you, babe😢

or

The Asshole: I still love you❤️

He's even sending me a winky frown. What the fuck does that even mean?! I was furiously texting back to him to fuck off or go away, while mumbling curse words to myself. Remember how I always get into fights with my mother? Well, she tries to control my life too. She actually hocked me up with Mitch. And surprisingly, I thought he was a keeper. He was very handsome, funny, and very smart for a hunk. He was my everything. I was his everything. I thought we would live happily ever after.

Well, I thought wrong.

One day I wake up and he's gone, never to be heard or seen for over three years, until yesterday. When I first got a text from him, my heart stopped. All the happy memories of us came flooding into my head again, the ones I pushed away. I wasn't sure if I was sad, angry, scared, shocked. How dare he leave me for three fucking years, not say anything to me or anyone, and then mysteriously come back and say he still loves me?! HE BROKE MY FUCKING HEART! I cried for a week straight when he disappeared. If he loved me, then why did he leave. That's why his contact name is 'The Asshole'. I still yell at my mom for picking him out to be my boyfriend.

"Uh, (Y/n)? You ok? You look pissed off?" I heard Dipper ask.

I jumped a little and looked up at Dipper and Mabel, who was looking at me too. There's no way I'm telling Dipper or Mabel about my horrible love life. I turned off my phone and gave them a fake smile.

"Everything's fine- just... just fine." I said.

I know that Dipper was claiming me to be his. Like I was going to tell a boy that was a vampire, that also loved me, that my ex was trying to get back together. He would kill him, literally!

"You sure?" Dipper asked.

Before I could respond, I got a phone call. I looked at my phone and groaned. Mitch.

"I'll... I'll be right back." I said, getting up from the chair and stepping out of the room.

I answered the call when I left the room.

"(Y/n)?" A husky voice said.

"What?" I asked, annoyedly.

"Baby, I miss you so much." He said.

I felt like I was going to explode. How could he say that to me?!

"Well guess what? I don't fucking miss you, you asshole! You left me, with no explanation, heartbroken!" I yelled, feeling tears form in my eyes.

"Please take me back, kitten?" He asked sweetly.

I huffed in frustration. Kitten was my nickname he used to call me. Notice how I said 'used' to in a funny way.

"Goodbye, forever, bitch." I said, feeling a tear roll down my cheek.

Before he could respond, I hung up. I sighed, wiping my eyes and tears with my sleeve. My eyes were probably still tearful, but I walked back into the living room. Dipper looked at me and his eyes widened. He stood up from the ground and stood in front of me.

"(Y/n), I don't think you're ok. Do you need to talk?" Dipper asked.

"No, I'm fine. It's none of your business." I said.

"(Y/n)-"

"Dipper, please." I pleaded.

Dipper sighed and sat back down, not wanting to cause a fight I guess. I sat back down again. My phone went off again, but it was a text this time. I looked at my phone and growled. It was Mitch again.

The Asshole: Please, let me explain.

There was nothing to explain about. He broke my heart. It's final. I turned off my phone again, this time putting my phone in my pocket. I should try to get Mitch off my mind. I put on a fake smile and looked at Dipper and Mabel.

"Hey, who wants to go to the diner?" I asked.

"Okay! Can I invite Candy and Grenda?" Mabel asked.

"Uh, sure." I said.

Dipper looked at me suspiciously, but said ok anyways. He knows I'm hiding something, but I can't tell him.

I can't.

***

Candy and Grenda finally arrived at the Shack and we made our way to the diner. Mabel, Candy, and Grenda walked ahead of us, while Dipper and I stayed behind. I was on my phone again. Mitch was texting me none stop. Seriously! This guy needs to just let me go! I don't love him anymore! I love Dipper!

"Who's 'The Asshole'?" Dipper asked, scaring me.

Shit! He looked at my phone. I immediately shut off my phone and looked at him.

"Nobody, and you shouldn't be looking at other people's phones while their having private conversations." I snapped.

"Hey, I'm just looking out for my best friend, Ms. Grumpy-pants." He said, putting my hands up in defense

I rolled her eyes at Dipper and went back on my phone, trying to delete some of Mitch's missed phone calls.

***

We took our seats in a booth for five. The booth was shaped like a semi-circle. Mabel, Candy, and Grenda sat on the left side of the semi-circle whil Dipper and I sat on the right side of the semi-circle. Mabel and Dipper sat on the edges. I was back to texting Mitch again. I got another call from him, mentally screaming to myself, but I declined it. The next thing that happened made my heart drop.

Dipper grabbed the phone out of my hands.

"DIPPER! GIVE ME MY FUCKING PHONE BACK!" I yelled.

"No! I want to know who you are texting, or else I will call this person right now!" Dipper shouted back, some people looking at our booth.

The girls kept quiet and sat awkwardly during our argument. My face went pale after what he said. Dipper will kill him. He won't understand. Mitch will kill him. Dammit, I feel like Bella Swan! And Dipper's Edward and Mitch's Jacob. Of course I'm on team Edward for life (aka team Dipper). Anyway, I still can't tell him.

"Dipper, I can't-"

"Tell me right now, or I will call the person." Dipper repeated, with a serious tone.

I still stared at him with wide eyes, breathing quickly and nervous. Finally, I closed my eyes and sighed. I opened my eyes with sadness.

"Fine." I sighed.

I looked around, making sure Mitch wasn't here. You never know. I sighed again as I looked at Dipper.

"It was my ex."

Shock went onto his face, then replaced with pure hatred and anger.

What did I tell ya?
