So this idea is loosely based on the "25 lives" series on AO3 (archive of our own). If you've been following me for a while, you know how much I love the series. There are some specific chapters I based this au on, but I recommend reading the entire thing to get the full experience !!

ALSO WATTPAD STARTED BEING AN ASS AND ADTING UP SO IT MIGHT'VE DELETED SOME PARTS AGAIN THIS IS LIKE THE THIRD TIME I'M FIXING THIS DHWHFHW

This contains Harry and Robin going full dad mode on Doi btw

Another thing that I should add, is that the trio already know the teachers names, and what their human forms look like, unlike my main au, and vice versa

Larry doesn't do shit btw

There's also a bit of fluffybird, but it's mostly them being idiots who aren't good at realising how gay they are for each other lmao

Also swearing ahead, but you probably already expected it from me

----------------

It was about 6 months after the lessons that things started happening.

It started off small. They got rid of all clocks in their house, fearing they might come to live, and they still had the image of rotting flesh burned in their minds. This meant it was a bit difficult to keep track of the time, but thankfully, there was a big clocktower near their house, who chimed every hour. Harry, who was getting ready for going out to go grocery shopping, called downstairs to Robin and Doi, who were sitting on the couch. "Do any of you happen to know the time? The store closes at 5."

Before Doi could answer, Robin replied with a "It's a few seconds away from 4 'o clock!" Right after the words left his mouth, his eyes widened, and he looked at Doi with a mix of confusion and panic. Doi didn't even have time to reply, before the clocktower chimed 4 times. Harry, who had meanwhile made his way downstairs, looked at Robin on the couch, who was still seconds away from having a panic attack.

They brushed it off as a coincidence, and forgot about it.

The next time it happened, it was a few days later, when the trio were sitting outside. It was a sunny day, which would've been perfect if it weren't for all the butterflies fluttering around their garden. Robin had decided it was his responsibility of keeping the bugs away from Doi, who wasn't too keen on them. While distracted by chasing one of them away with his trusty flyswatter (and a bunch of "pesky bee!"s under his breath), Robin didn't notice one of the insects was getting close to Doi. Harry had headed back inside to grab a glass of water, and Robin was on the other side of the garden, so Doi was all alone with the butterfly. He scrambled back against a wall, already feeling tears coming up. The butterfly got closer. In a last attempt to safe himself (or at least he thought, the butterfly really did not mean any harm), Doi managed to produce a small "Leave me alone!". To his surprise (and also to Harry and Robins, who were already on their way to help their small french fry child), the butterfly turned around, and flew back over the hedge.

They brushed it off as a coincidence, a bit more hesitant this time.

The third time it happened was with Harry. The three of them were sitting on the couch, late in the night, watching tv. It was the show Harry and Robin usually watched when Doi was asleep, but they decided that, since it was obvious none of them were gonna age, it was a bit useless to use the "when you're older" excuse (besides, it's not like Doi slept anyways). Not even 3 minutes into the show, the electricity started flickering, and died out. Robin cursed under his breath, with Harry immediately putting his hands on Doi's ears, giving Robin the death stare (no one was going to curse in front of his small yellow child, not even his rude housemate). Robin grumbled, and walked out the front door, using his feathered hands to navigate himself through the house. He returned shortly after, with the news that the electricity died out in the entire neighbourhood, and probably wasn't going to be fixed until tomorrow. Harry was not too happy with this, since he was a big fan of his murder mystery shows, and when he missed an episode on one of his shows, his mood was ruined for at least the next week.

"Oh quit acting like a child, you'll be able to watch it in a few days" Robin said to a grumpy-looking Harry. He just mumbled something in response, still looking at the tv, as if he was expecting it to turn on by itself.

And just like that, as if some god had read his mind, the tv turned on again, and with it, the other electronics in the house (not that there were a lot of them, since the trio still weren't too fond of computers, laptops and lamps). Doi yelped, and fell of the couch, Robin swore again, and Harry blinked a couple of times. "Go check on the neighbours" he said, eyeing Robin. The green-haired man was about to give Harry a "do it yourself, you lazy ass", but decided that this maybe wasn't the right time. He made his way outside again, and after Harry had helped Doi back up (he couldn't help but watch the show during all the commotion, it was the finale, like hell he was going to miss it), Robin stepped through the door again. Harry only had to glance at Robins eyes, which were filled with fear and panic, to get his answer.

...maybe it wasn't a coincidence.

After a few weeks of the electricity acting up, plants seemingly growing faster, easily keeping track of the time without having to try and lights turning on by themselves whenever they entered a room, all three sat on the couch, eyeing their surroundings suspiciously, on the lookout for any other strange events happening.

"So" Harry began. "I don't think I need to explain the problem". He looked at his housemates for confirmations. "We've all been experiencing...things lately, and I'm willing to bet the entire house that it has something to do with the lessons of June". Doi nodded, clinging to Robin, who appeared to be staring at a wall. "Robin?" Harry asked his friend carefully. "We need to go to the playground" Robin said, completely out of nowhere. His voice was calm, a lot different from his usual high-pitched autotune like voice. Harry raised an eyebrow, and Doi gave him a puzzled look. Robin turned around to look at them, his golden eyes (o r b s-) shining like bright lights. "Now".

And just like that, the three of them were at the small playground, located in the park near their house. It was pouring, and since Harry didn't have enough time to grab their coats and umbrellas before Robin dragging them outside, they were completely soaked. Harry gave Robin his now well known death stare, while Doi was walking through the puddles, not minding the rain at all. There was no one else outside, which wasn't a surprise. Not only was it pouring, but it was pretty late, nearly midnight. The usually colourful looking playground equipment seemed boring and dull. Even the bright red slide (the same colour as Harry's hair actually, which obviously led to a lot of jokes) looked more greyish. Doi did not seem to mind this at all, and switched between jumping in the puddles and playing on the equipment, careful not to wander too far away from his guardians.

"And now what, smart-ass" Harry grumbled to Robin (after making sure Doi was out of hearing range of course). His shorter friend was looking around, with a puzzled look on his face. "I...I don't know...something just told me there was something important here, and we had to be there" Harry narrowed his eyes. "I thought we decided that we should ignore any strange feelings in the gut, ESPECIALLY with everything happening lately". Robin turned around to look at him, a mix between frustration and anger in his eyes. "Look, I don't know what's happening, or why it's happening, but I just want to fix this. And maybe, if we find this...thing, we're looking for, it will all go away, and we can continue trying to live our lives normally. Honestly, I think you're just being a selfish assho-" Robins rant was interrupted when Doi yelled for their names. They turned around in unison, and saw him on the other side of the playground, waving his arm in the air to get their attention. Next to him, holding his other hand, was an all too familiar, small girl, with white hair.

The trio were sitting on the couch, almost clinging onto each other, looking at the not-so murderous looking humanised sketchbook. They weren't sure why or when they had decided to bring her home with them, but it somehow happened. So far, she had not tried to torture them (yet), and was now sitting on the other couch, looking around with big curious eyes.

So far, the trio had noticed a few things ; she could understand them, but only simple sentences (a "go sit on the couch please" was fine, but a "are you here to torture us again" received confused looks). Not only that, but she did not seem to speak English. Instead, she would chitter in some strange, foreign language. Her appearance also changed drastically. She was wearing simple, black clothes, and her pastel coloured hair from before was now completely white. She still had the big curious eyes, with white eyelashes on one, but they were now black, not like the previous bright colours. She also did not seem to have her "abilities", although they had tried to keep anything artsy away from her. The trio had also noticed that she was smaller, and more child-like.

"What do we do now?" Doi whispered-asked to the other 2. "Well, it seems that she was the one I was looking for..." Robin answered, still nervously eyeing the girl. Harry had not said anything since they found Sketch, and had in fact been holding his chest the whole time, at the place where his heart was. Or at least, had been. Robin put one of his hands on the red heads shoulder. "Calm down, I don't think she's here to hurt us".This seemed to make the other relax a bit, but there was still an akward tension in the house.

It had been a few days since the trio had taken Sketch in. So far, she did not seem to have any murderous intentions, but the 3 guys did not want to take that risk. And although she picked up drawing a while back, it was nothing too special, without any organs or blood. One downside was that she did seem to need food, unlike the trio. So, about 4 days after Sketch began living with the trio, the four of them were at the local mall, going shopping for groceries and art supplies to keep Sketch occupied. The girl was holding Doi's hand, who she seemed the closest with (it didn't help that Harry tried his hardest to avoid her), skipping steps and looking around with her big eyes, eyeing all the colourful shops and stalls. Sometimes, she would chitter something while pointing at one of the stores, and she had ran off multiple times, only to be found by the trio minutes later outside, or in one of the stores, freaking out workers. They even found her in the fountain that was located at the centre of the mall, completely soaked. Once they got her out of the water, her clothes and hair seemed to have dried up magically, but the trio stopped questioning things a long time ago.

They were now on their way to the convenience store, to pick up some cough medicine, since they now had another house member that was able to get ill. The four of them passed a small antique shop, and Doi halted immediately. He was staring into the shop, eyes big. "You have got to be kidding me..." he mumbled. Sketch, Harry and Robin turned around as well.

In the shop, through the window, they could see a small boy, a bit taller than Sketch and Doi, but smaller than Robin, looking intensely at the clocks. He had black hair, a caramel toned skin, and a large scar across the bridge of his nose. Upon closer inspection, he appeared to be wearing the same, simple black clothes as Sketch, and had the same exact black eyes. When he turned around to look at them, the trio felt like someone just poured ice cold water down their backs.

And just like that, Tony joined the household.

He did not seem to recognise Sketch, and she didn't recognise him. They would sometimes communicate in their weird chitter-chatter language, but they were short conversations, and Robin got the impression that they were limited to speech in their own language as well. Tony was a lot more quiet than Sketch, something the trio was all too glad for, since Sketch was a hyperactive bouncing ball, full off energy. When Tony first entered their house, the first thing he did was walk around the entire house, seemingly looking for something. Minutes later, he came back to the living room, pulled on Harry's leg (who would've loved to kick him across the room, the little shit), and chattered something, pointing at his wrist, looking angry. It took some time, but through body language and Robins brains, the trio managed to discover that the now de-aged Tony wanted a clock, or at least something to tell the time with. So, when the trio went to get more art supplies for Sketch, they bought a small pocket watch for Tony. And happy he was with it. Carried it everywhere with him. He had the biggest smile on his face the entire time, and even offered to help clean the house, as a thank you (at least he thanked the trio. Sketch just grabbed her stuff and ran off with it). It would've been adorable, if it weren't for the fact that a much bigger and intimidating version of him had smiled at them, while rotting them alive. But, so far, neither of the objects seemed to have any intentions of harming the trio.

The trio didn't find Shrignold, surprisingly.

He found them.

It was exactly 5 days, 6 hours, 34 minutes, 2 seconds and counting, according to Robin, after they found Tony, that someone knocked on their door. Doi went to open it, since Harry was cleaning the living room, Tony was reading a book (as in, trying to look smart to impress the trio so he could stay up longer, but really looking like an idiot because he couldn't read and was holding the book upside down), and Robin was yelling at Sketch for trying to eat paint, who really, did not seem to give a single fuck about his opinion. From the living room, the other 4 could hear Doi yell something, and walking into the living room, in all his 10 year old glory, was Shrignold. He nodded a hello to Harry and Robin, looked at Tony and Sketch with a face that appeared to be a mix between pity and pure disgust, sat down on the couch next to Tony, pulled out a giant book, labelled with demonic-looking symbols, opened it, and began reading it (Tony looking at him with big eyes, obviously impressed). Harry and Robin stood there, not sure what to do. They heard the door close, and Doi walked back into the room, looking just as confused as the other 2 felt. "He just...walked inside?" The other 5 people in the living room were still looking at Shrignold, who appeared to try his hardest in avoiding them. There was an akward silence, that got interrupted by Robin screaming from frustration when Sketch poured down an entire bottle of glitter down her throat.

Something the others noticed rather quickly, was that Shrignold was different. He seemed to understand English, although he still couldn't speak. He appeared to be a lot more mature than the other 2 teachers, despite looking younger than Tony. He also turned out to hate being treated like a child, unlike Sketch and Tony. When Doi was guiding the two to bed, he glanced at Shrignold, waiting for a reaction. The look of pure disgust Shrignold returned said enough. He did not need any extra gifts, like the other 2, and was most of the time either outside, sitting next to the flowers, or reading his book. It appeared to be some sort of cultist thing (which didn't really surprise the trio), and he sometimes wrote in it, or muttered something under this breath.

He watched over the other 2 teachers while the trio went shopping once, and when they returned, they found Shrignold reading on the couch, sipping on some tea (where did he even get that from-), with Tony and Sketch tied to the wall, with what seemed like ducttape. Tony looked like he had given up on protesting a long time ago, and Sketch was moving like a wild animal, trying to get free, alwhile screeching loudly (explained the duct tape on her mouth). If it had been any of the other 2, the trio would have scolded them, and send them to bed without dessert. But with Shrignold, they just got Sketch and Tony down, and said something along the lines of "don't do that again" to Shrignold. He glanced at them, shrugged, then nodded, and went back to reading.

They found the next teachers at the local plant store, close to the park.

Shrignold had finished his book, and managed to let the trio know that he wanted something to spend his time. Not only that, but Sketch ran out of glue, Tony's watch needed batteries, and Harry ran out of coffee, so it was time for their weekly visit to the store. While making their way to the mall, they passed the plant store. Harry stopped in his tracks, turned around and walked into the plant store, without saying a single word. Doi and Robin had gotten used to it, and knew what it meant. They followed him, pulling a confused Sketch and Tony with them, Shrignold following them. Sketch was immediately drawn to the colourful flowers, and yelled in frustration when Robin pulled her away, following the vague Red shape in the distance that was Harry. When caught up to him, the 6 of them were met with an interesting sight.

Two kids were yelling at each other, one with sand coloured hair, thick black glasses, and prosthetic arms and legs, the other with black hair, tied in a ponytail with a computer cord. A smaller one, with vitiligo just like Sketch, and flowers in his dark brown hair, was trying to break the two apart. When he noticed the trio, the only adults near him, he chittered something in the same language the boys had gotten used to at this point, obviously asking for help.

The store workers looked a bit odd at them, dragging the three children with them, but one sharp eyed look from Robin made them shut up.

Colin, Lucy and Gilbert joined the party!

Colin and Lucy were probably worse than Sketch. They were constantly fighting, bothering the trio and the other kids (Sketch always fought back, Tony ignored them, Gilbert just kinda suffered through it, and funny enough, Shrignold was mostly safe from their endless pestering), and whining about every single thing. Another thing the trio quickly noticed was how unbelievable LOUD Colin could be. When Lucy "accidentally" spilled her glass water on him, he produced a blood curling loud scream. Harry, who probably hated him the most out of everyone (blowing up someone's head did not leave a good first impression), picked up one of Tony books, and threw it at the still screaming child, hitting him in the face and knocking off his glasses. He obviously started crying, like any child would, and Harry got a bunch of angry looks from the other kids (except for Shrignold, who gave Colin a "serves you right" face). Doi helped him calm down, made Lucy apologise to Colin, and also calmed down Sketch, Tony and Gilbert, who got startled from Harry's outbreak and appeared to be on the edge of crying as well. Robin fixed Colins glasses, and Harry apologised to him, and ended up taking all the kids to go get icecream (Shrignold also tagged along).

Colin was a lot nicer from that day on.

Harry discovered something a few days after the "throwing books at children" incident. Colin and Lucy were fighting again, and he decided to turn on the tv, maybe to
