Trevor

After stopping off at the garage where myself and some of my brothers worked, I made my way into the city. I picked up a smartphone and a case for my girl. Then I rode over to the clubhouse to meet with the Pres.

I passed a bunch of fellow patches and some prospects on my way to the Pres.'s office. I knocked on the door before opening it to find the Pres., Rooster, and his VP Buzz shooting the shit.

"Figured we wouldn't see ya for a while. Thought you'd be too busy with your new lady friend." Buzz smirked, wiggling his eyebrows

"Fuck off," I said flipping him off good-naturedly and falling into a chair

"What brings you to our humble abode?" Rooster asked, rolling his eyes at our shenanigans

Robert Kaine AKA Rooster, and Landon Bristow AKA Buzz, were two of the best people I knew. They'd been informed of our actions the night before and had held Craig over for questioning. They, like me, didn't take too kindly to grown men beating up on innocent women and were more than happy to give him a taste of his own medicine.

"I just wanted to let y'all know that as soon as Delilah agrees, I'm placing my claim on her. She's mine." I said

Rooster nodded, "Noted. Don't think you'll have any opposition given the way you behaved last night."

"Heard ya went a little ape shit." Buzz chuckled

"You would have too if you'd seen the way he was with her." I growled, "Which reminds me, are we going to have beef with Killerz?"

Rooster sighed, "I don't think so. Craig or Wrecker, the lowlife piece of shit, isn't high up in the chain of command over there. Apparently he never even officially claimed her as his old lady. So, I think we're fine."

I ground my teeth, the fucker didn't even claim her. No wonder he treated her worse than a club bunny. Admittedly our club was a pretty rare find among MCs. All of us were Vets, drinking was reserved for the weekends only, and we respected our women - even the bunnies - not that we broadcasted that fact. Everyone pitched in, many hands make light work and all that shit, and since the MC owned several businesses (all legit) it was crucial to have the help. Pres. didn't tolerate abusive or offensive behavior of any kind, especially towards the women. Crap like that was liable to get your patch taken away and your teeth knocked in.

"If anything changes, let me know," I said pushing up to standing

"I take it that means you want me to order a jacket for her." Rooster said as I turned to leave

I nodded at him and Buzz said, "Bring her by here sometime soon. You'll need to claim her in front of the guys so there are no misunderstandings, especially with the dumb-fuck prospects. Plus I'm sure Miss Jolene will be itching to meet her."

Rooster rolled his eyes, but I could see the love at the mention of his wife and old lady, Jolene. She was the mother hen of the club, and I did not doubt that she would love Delilah and take her under her wing. Since nearly all of us were single, Jolene made it her mission to make sure we had homecooked meals and all the mothering we could handle. "Just until you go out and find yourself a wife" is what she'd always say.

"Sure thing." I nodded to the older men, "Wouldn't want to upset Miss Jo now would we?" I winked and couldn't help but laugh when Rooster growled at me.

Putting my hands up in surrender I left the office and passed through the common area before making my way out to my bike. I hopped on and rode towards home. I checked the time, Delilah still had an hour or so before 6.

To my surprise, she was already home when I got there. I parked my bike in the garage, impressed that she'd managed to park the truck in the garage too, and made my way inside. I found her in the living room sorting through her purchases on the couch and coffee table. She didn't notice me, so I took a few seconds to enjoy watching her.

She looked so perfect sitting there, the sun just beginning to set through the open blinds. And I hoped I would have lots more times like this in the future, hopefully for the rest of our lives.

I walked over to her, and she looked up at me with a half-smile.

"Hey baby," I grinned at her, "have a good day?"

She nodded, biting her lip, "Yeah, but I think I may have gotten too much. I'm sorry. Georgia was just...very insistent."

I looked over the few bags on the couch and coffee table, it didn't look like nearly enough stuff to me. How could this be all she'd gotten? Didn't women usually go nuts when it came to buying clothes and stuff?

"Is this everything?" I asked

She nodded, a fearful look crossing her gorgeous face.

"This was everything you wanted?" I questioned

I watched her hesitate, knowing that she wasn't entirely sure how to respond, "I only got a few things I wanted, I was focused more on buying necessities. It turns out that Georgia managed to sneak in a few other things. I didn't want to take advantage of your generosity, and you didn't give me a budget..."

I shook my head at her, "Darlin' that's not what I told you to do. At least Miss Georgia listened to me."

"Huh?" she looked so adorably confused

"I told you to get anything you wanted and needed." I reminded her

"I know, but -" she started

"And I meant that, baby. It's not some test." I said, "Now, show me what Miss Georgia knew you wanted and made sure you had."

I watched her face grow tomato red, which only piqued my curiosity. She pointed to a shopping bag on the floor beside her. Curious, I picked it up and opened it. I got instantly hard as steel when I saw the baby pink lacy lingerie inside. Forcing myself not to make a big deal out of it, though my mind was conjuring up all kinds of fantasies of her, I looked further into the bag. All the way at the bottom was a Zagnut candy bar. Pulling it out of the bag, I handed it to her.

She slowly took it from me and cast her eyes down at her hand that now held it, "These were my favorite when I was younger. My parents used to give me one whenever I got good grades or something. This was my treat to celebrate."

She looked up at me, and I saw that venerable woman again and it broke my heart.

"Well, then darlin' I'd say that right there is a necessity since we're celebrating your new beginning." I smiled gently at her

She smiled back at me, and I could see her eyes getting misty, "Thank you." she whispered

Later that night I ordered a dozen cases of Zagnut bars online. My girl would have lots of things to celebrate and I needed to be prepared.
