A nerd,

that's what everyone called me. 

I never cared about those comments, because I had that one friend, who would never leave my side during the worst of my life.

He gave me hope and never made me feel lonely.

That friend is no other than my stuffed toy, my lion, who is unlike my other friends. Who am I kidding here, they don't even deserve to be called friends, they are bullies.

My lion isn't just a toy to me, but my life and my lifesaver. 

I share every little secret of mine which I could neither share with my parents nor with anyone else nor expect to ever share with them.

He sleeps beside me every night, and I don't even know how I'll be able to sleep or live when I don't have him beside me.

As I said before, nobody in my school likes me. They bully me and spread rumors about me having Tourette syndrome.

(Tourette syndrome: A nervous system disorder involving repetitive movements or the making of unwanted sounds.)

Actually, I don't have any syndrome like that, or anything close to it. I am just a perfectly fine person who is just good at studies and sports.

The students in my class hit me with paper balls in the middle of the class, making me let out a whimper, giving them all a reason to think that I suffer from Tourette syndrome.

I don't even understand why they hate me. Is it because I am not handsome and wear spectacles or because of my family?

My family is very wealthy and my dad earns a lot. Not gonna lie, but I'm the richest kid in the town. Shouldn't people be swarming over me if I'm richie rich? That's what normally happens in the web series and kdramas I watch...

My family lives in a large mansion, which everyone dreams of living in. My mom is very beautiful, and a famous model.

We sound like a perfect family, but doesn't reality always hit hard? We are far from perfect. I don't even know where it went wrong, my parents started hating me and each other out of nowhere,  unlike the times when they used to love me a lot. Everything started drifting apart.

My parents fight with each other a lot, and they even stopped appreciating my success. And did I mention before, that I am the top student in the whole university as well as in sports too?

Yet, I lack in having friends. I tried to befriend many, but they all think of me as a weird and ugly student so I drifted away from them.

It  is just like

'Having everything but conquered by loneliness.'

So, I am left with my one and only- My lion.

But everything turned upside down when those 6 people entered my life.
