Ginny, neville, Mattheo and me make our way to the Bridge.
The bridge so many students had their first kisses on, the bridge people fought on, laughed on.
Now we were about to blow this bitch up.
It was actually kind of Sad.
"Are you sure about this-" Neville sounded unsure of the plan.

"We got this-" I reassure them all, we had put fire works at each pillar that holds the bridge.
Someone would have to throw a fire spell to blow them up.
It was simple.
"Why do I have to do it? I'm not being rude but how do I know that you aren't setting me up" he looks at Mattheo as he speaks.
It was Mattheo's idea for the fireworks.

"I'll do it" I volunteer and Mattheo looks at me like I'm stupid. Like he knew something I didn't?
Was Neville on to something? No I can't think that way.
"No, no your not" his voice was firm and I looked at him with curious eyes.
"I will" he spoke again, I couldn't help but notice the sad and uneasy smirk on his face.

Mattheo Riddle PoV
"I'll do it" she volunteered so easily, I actually wanted to slap her.
She would be putting herself at risk, I wasn't even sure that this was definitely going to work, it should, wood and fire don't mix well but you can never be sure.
Not 100%

She quickly looks at me, I couldn't help but ignore her eyes, they were full of questions.
Like she was questioning my loyalty to her.
To this plan and to Harry's army.
I could tell when I saw those eyes that she wasn't sure who I sided with.
I thought we were past this, I guess not and I can't blame her.

But it still hurt like hell.
"I will" my hand lets go of hers quickly, I didn't want to look at her.
Not while my eyes were glassy and my smirk was less then confident.
I swallow slightly as I look at the long bridge.
"I better get going" I laugh, the bridge was very narrow and long it would take me a few minutes to get to the end of it.
"Good luck" Ginny speaks before I set off, I simply nod at the girl.

"Mattheo-" her voice was soft, she sounded sorry.
She must of known that I picked up on her questioning eyes.
"I'll see you in a minute" I smile and she tries to go after me, I see Ginny pull her back.
Shit.
What the fuck is happening right now.

I get to the end, I wait.
I wait for the death eaters to turn up and try kill me.
Fantastic.
Really how I want to be spending my Friday evening.
I shuffle slightly when I hear them in the distance.
I step backwards in Anticipation.
I watch as some of them fry, they ran straight into the force felid.

I start to chuckle, I knew this barrier thing wouldn't last but I might as well gloat while it is.
"You alright boys?" I call out to the snatchers I recognised.
"Riddle- you Traitorous-" he's about to go on about me being a traitor and blah blah blahhh.
But I cut him off "yeah yeah I get it, you guys hate me and all that but I would say I'm in the better position considering I didn't just fry" I laugh at my own joke.

I watch as they get more agitated.
That's when I notice small parts of fire dropping from the sky.
Fuck me-
It was down, the barrier was down.
I step back and they soon notice too.
They all charge towards me at high speed.
"Shit! Can't we just talk this out??!!" I start to run, dodging the spells that they throw at me in the process.

I quickly throw a spell that should blow up all the fireworks underneath the bridge.
I don't hear any struggling from the army behind me.
It didn't work..
Fuck.
I throw another and that's when I hear people screaming and grunting.
Telling the people in front of them to hurry up.

Thank god.
I see the end of the bridge, Y/n was there.
She was screaming.
Screaming at me, I couldn't tell what she was saying, the noise was too loud from the fireworks and then screams.
I feel the bridge catching up to me, collapsing underneath my feet , I have to go.

I have to jump.
I leap towards safety but miss it by a few inches.
"Mattheo!" I hear her gut wrenching scream.

Y/n Carter's POV
I watch as he runs towards me, the whole army falling behind him.
"Mattheo Run!" I scream, hoping he could hear me.
"Mattheo!" My voice boxes basically breaks as I watch him fall, he didn't make it.
I gasp as tears threatened to spill, that's when we hear grunting and shuffling.
I quickly run to the edge, Ginny and Neville try to stop me in the process thinking it was a death eater.

I shove them off quickly as I fall to my knees looking over he edge, seeing Mattheo climbing up.
I sigh in relief, my mouth a-cape as I give him my hand, he reaches out for it and I quickly pull him up as I hear a crack.
He falls on top of me and I hug him tight, The bridge that was just holding him up had collapsed.
"Your here, your alive" I talked fast as I run my hands over his face.

"Yeah I'm alive, I'm alive" he sounded like he couldn't believe it himself.
His eyes meet mine and that's when Ginny coughs awkwardly.
"We have to go, their getting in the castle!" Neville shouts , running towards the building.
"Come on lets go" I grab his hand pulling him up, taking my wand out of my back pocket.

We walk in through the back, we could already hear people screaming and fighting for there life's.
That's when I spot Pansy, she wasn't fighting, not like how she should.
She was backing away from all the commotion, she was frightened.
Just like Mattheo she was forced to be a death eater but Mattheo got out.

That's when I see a death eater a real one , they were shouting at Pansy, telling her to fight.
I watch as she turned , they were going to kill her.
I quickly ran, letting go of his hand, jumping in front of Pansy, tackling her to the ground as a bit of the castle fell, it would've crushed her-
Her eyes were glassy when she realised what had just happened.

"Expelliarmus!" I hear Mattheo's voice, he had disarmed the death eater.
"Why did you save me?" Pansys voice cracked from underneath me.
"You could've died!" Pansy speaks again and I smile at her.
"Your my friend" I stated grabbing her up quickly, running into the depth of the castle.
I was dragging her along with me, other students crying and bumping into each other.
"Please Y/n let me go- I can't live with what I've done-" I hear her voice behind me, I quickly turn holding her face with my hands.

I notice that my hands were black and dusty, cuts all over my palms, my wand was the same.
"Listen to me! Go find Sylvia! Tell her I sent you, say what you have too because I think most of us are going to be dead by dawn!" I shout at her, we were stood in the middle of the steps.
People still pushing and screaming all round us.
She stills, she looked like she'd seen a ghost.
"Go! Now! Tell Mattheo I'm going to find Harry if you see him!" She nods quickly as I push her away from me.

"Harry!" I shout up the steps hoping he was one of these scared students running.
That's when I'm grabbed, I let out a scream.
"It's me! Luna!" She looked very dishevelled but still very pretty just as she'd always been.
"Harry's in the room of requirement! He just went , go!" I thank the girl running faster.
I get to the 7th floor, out of breathe and my heart feeling like it's about to drop out my ass.

I close my eyes, all I could hear was my deep breathing.
The death eaters hadn't gotten to this part of the castle yet.
I hear the wall almost unlock, I open my eyes to see the door.
I quickly walk in, it was silent.
I could tell it wasn't just Harry here in this room with me.
I walk slowly round the maze like room, that's when I see Harry.
He was looking into a box.
"Harry" he puts his wand up not knowing it was me.

He lowers it quickly when he realises that it indeed is just me.
"Y/n how'd you find me?" He smiles slightly, that's when my eyes widen.
"Harry- we aren't alone!" I run to his side protecting him.
He was the only person who could kill Voldemort, he had to be kept alive.
Kai, Tabitha and Draco stand with there Wands up.
"What are you doing here Rosier? Lestrange?"
I knew Malfoy didn't want to be here so I didn't address him.

"You have something that is mine Potter, that's why I'm here-" Draco gestured to the wand that Harry held.
"What's wrong with the one you have?" I pick up on what Draco was talking about.
"It's my mothers, it's powerful but it doesn't quite understand me- you know what I mean?" Draco smiles at Harry and me.
"Why didn't you tell her? Bellatrix , you knew it was me- you didn't say anything" Draco shifted away from Tabitha and Kai.

Tabitha scowls at Harry as she hears her mothers name come out his mouth.
"This isn't your wand anymore- you know that don't you Draco" Harry spoke firmly, standing next to me.
"What is he talking about? Draco!" Tabitha turns her head. Her hand on her wand pointing towards me and Harry as she spoke.
Draco shifted uncomfortably.

"What are you doing here-" Kai asks finally speaking.
"We could ask you the same question" I step forward and Tabitha laughs.
"We are here to find something, I think you know what that is Carter" Tabitha smirks at me, last time I saw her she was cutting into my arms.
"No clue, but what I do know is I'm going to kill you if you step any closer" I threatened her and she giggles again.
Calling bluff.

Draco retreats slightly.
He lowers his wand, I watch as Harry reached into his pockets.
"Easy-" Kai raised his wand higher.
"expelliarmus!" Me and Harry duck down as we heard Hermione speak.
I turn seeing not only Hermione and Ron but Mattheo as well.
"Avada Kedavra!" Tabitha shouts throwing a spell at Mattheo.
He blocks it with ease.

Kai and Draco run for it, knowing they are out numbered.
"Now you really are going to die" her eyes dart to mine and and starts backing away.
"Stupefy!" I shout making her fly over a pile of chairs.
She screams as she lands on the other side.
"Where is it?" Harry looks to the box again, distracting me from my vengeance.
"What?" I notice the box is empty.

"Up there Harry!" Mattheo points to the stack of furniture. At the very top was a tiara.
Harry nods at Mattheo as him and Hermione start to climb the Tower.
Ron starts to run and I look at him confused.
"I'm going to go find those pricks!" I laugh slightly and that's when Mattheo grabs me.
Holding my face.
"I thought I'd lost you- where'd you go?" His face has cuts on- smoke was over his face.
"I-"

"Run!!!!" I hear Ron scream, Harry and Hermione stand by us both looking towards the screams.
"Tabitha set fire to the place!" We finally see him running towards us, he grabs Hermione.
Mattheo grabs my arm as we make our way towards the door.
The large fire like snake following us, I could feel it burning my back, it was close, too close.
If any of us tripped it would engulf us all.
We start to notice more fire animals.
We were cornered.
That's when Ron falls.

"Here! Brooms!" He chucks us each a broom.
I shared with Mattheo.
"We can't leave them!" Harry spoke as we all flew up above the raging flames.
He couldn't be serious-
"Come on!" He turns back and I tug on Mattheo telling him to follow.
He huffs in annoyance "if we die, I will hurt you!" He threatened and I couldn't help but laugh.
We watch as Harry grabs Draco and Ron grabs Kai.

Where's Tabitha?
I look and she's stranded on the other stack a few down from them.
"Go-" I tell Riddle as we race towards the girl.
She was screaming at us to help her.
I put my hands out and she tries pulling me off the broom.
This bitch-
I lose balance, I felt the fire hit my leg.
I yelp in pain as I push her away from us, I watch as she falls into the fire.

My eyes widen. I just killed somebody-
I never wanted that- but part of me was glad it was her.
Actually all of me was glad it was her I'd just pushed into the fire that she made.
"Come on guys!" Harry shouts and we look forward again, racing towards the exit.
The back of our broom was so close to the flames that it caught light.
I hold on tighter to Mattheo.
Ron makes it through first, followed by Hermione then Harry.

We weren't going to make it-
The doors were about to close until Harry casted a spell making them stand open a little longer, just letting us fall through as they shut.
We fall off our broom hitting into the wall opposite.
Draco and Kai no where to be seen.
They'd both ran off, bloody pussies.
I notice Harry collapse "Harry what is it?" I ask him, getting off the floor.

A few minutes pass.
"He's by the lake- he's talking to Lucius, it's the snake- it's the last thing we need to kill him" I smile in relief.
It wasn't him-
I put the pieces together a long time ago, every wizard knew how Harry destroyed Riddles book etc.
I thought he might be-
But he isn't.

"Go- I'll catch up" I didn't realise how tired I was, I had been running around all day.
"Yeah we will" Mattheo slips his hand into mine.
They all nod and run off down the hall.
I look at our hands and the slowly look up to him.
I let out a chuckle when I see his eyes, we were both here, we just survived fire-
He had blood pouring down his lips, almost like he'd been punched.
I remember when I swung my arm back from Tabitha, I hit him in the face- at least he doesn't have any burns though.
But even if he did- he'd still be just as beautiful.

We grab each other's faces, obviously thinking the same thing.
Our lips connect in a hungry kiss, my arms wrap around his neck, his around my waist.
His lips were soft and I melted into them, I pull away to admire his face.
As I inspect his bashed up face and smile, I looked behind him, turning us around as the spell hits me-

His eyes filling with concern and confusion.
"Y/n what's wrong? What is it?" He asks, I suddenly couldn't breathe.
I started clawing at my chest and then my neck. What was happening to me-
I then see Mattheo's eyes wonder behind me.
He understood-

"Theo?" I ask him between Breaths.
He wouldn't look at me.

Mattheo Riddle POV
My lips connect with hers, I could stay like this forever-
We nearly died- I nearly lost her and my mind wasn't cloudy like before, I knew what I was going to say next-
I didn't care if she didn't want me too.
I love her.
I love you.
Y/n Carter.

As soon as I'm about to pull away and say it she pulls away first, smiling at me.
Is she going to say it before me? Shit- it will look like I'm just saying it now.
The smile soon fades, her eyes wonder behind me, that's when she turns us round quickly.
She shudders forward into me, letting out a grunt.

She gasps in pain, I watch as her eyes look down to her chest, they widen when she realised that there wasn't anything there-
Like she expected there was a dagger in her chest or something.
Her eyes full of pain, her hands leaving my face as she claws at her chest.

I hold the back of her head keeping her standing.
"Y/n what's wrong? What is it?" My voice was frightened.
What the hell?
I then see a figure stood behind her.

Malachai Roiser. He'd thrown a spell at me-
It was meant for me!

No- no no NO.
"Theo?" She speaks, she wanted reassurance.
But I couldn't keep my eyes off the boy in front of me.
His smirk big.
That's when y/n's legs collapsed from underneath her.
I catch her, pulling her down gently, I hold her face. She knew something was wrong.
"What have you done to her!" I shout at Kai, not even looking up.

"You killed my friend" I hear his voice crack, he was talking about Tabitha.
"I thought I'd kill you- but your darling y/n here saw me first- pity, but now I think of it, what better revenge to kill the only person you care for? The only person who's ever cared for you?" he gestured to Y/n on the ground.
She starts to cough up blood.
No- please no-
"I didn't kill Tabitha!" I shout and then I realise he isn't only talking about the crazy girl.

At the age of 10, my father was teaching me all sorts of spells.
Spells to kill people, hurt people- torture people in the worst way.
Kai Rosier and his best friend Henry Brown.
Kai made friends with the muggle born next door to his house.
When I went there- to Kai's one day.
I noticed Kai wasn't in.

His parents told me that he went out on his bike, I went looking for him.
He was with Henry.
Flash back:
"Kai! Hey Kai!" I run excitedly toward the two boys.
"Why is he here-" Henry scowls at me, I knew he wasn't fond of me.
I was the son of the most feared wizard and he was a muggle born.
You can understand why.

"I came to play-" my voice cracked.
Why were they being mean?
"We don't want you here" Henry speaks again.
Kai was never my friend, it took me too long to realise that.
He's gotten me beaten by my father countless of times before this-
But I just wanted a friend- it was lonely at home.
"I know- I just want to play-" my voice was barely a whisper.

"No!" Kai pushes me away and I stumble hitting the floor.
That's when Henry kicked me.
"Ow!" I Yelp and they both laugh.
They step away, they start to walk far from me.
I was so angry! How dare they!
"Tardus pulsatio!" I shout pointing my wand at Henry.

A wand that my father gave me when I turned 9.
Henry dropped to the ground crying.
This spell stops one's heart.
It was my favourite spell, it was easy to me and hard for others. Eg Kai.
Kai could never do this spell.
"Stop it!" Kai shouts with fear in his voice.

I didn't know how too- my father never taught me how-
As soon as the spell started I'd practically already became a killer.
Oh no- what did I do-
My father once described the spell as one of the most painful spells in history.
At first it's like tiny needles pricking the heart, then after a while it stops and then it's like the heart is on fire-
It eventually stops beating...

They cough up blood before hand, I never knew why? Maybe just to make it more gruesome and painful?
I wasn't sure, I didn't know a lot about it.
Henry died after what felt like hours- probably only minutes considering he was only little.
"What did you do!" Kai fell to his knees beside Henry.
Crying.
"I didn't mean too- it was a accident!" Tears swelled my vision.

End of flashback.

"No-" I shake my head at him, he better be joking.
"Reverse it! Now!" I shout at him, Rage and desperation hanging off my tongue.
"Theo-" I hear her call my name, her eyes were weak. My only focus was on her face now, dried blood was round her mouth. My hands on her face.
"I thought you knew this spell well Riddle?"
I didn't even realise that Kai had walked closer.

My eyes snap up as he bends down stroking her hair "shame, she really is pretty" he chuckles.
I lunge for him, pinning him against the nearest wall.
He was laughing.
"Reverse it! I will kill you!" His evil smile upturns even more-
"You can't- I can't no one can" I drop him to the floor instantly.
I stumble away from the Evil boy.

He's lying-
He must be lying-
"Mattheo please!" I hear her whisper from behind me.
My chin wobbles.
"Sit with her- she won't have long left" his eyes were almost glowing.
"Your lying!" I shout.
He shakes his head "I'm not- your wasting time shouting at me Riddle, say your goodbyes" his eyes narrow into mine.

Oh my god-
He wasn't lying.
