"Riddle get up we've got to go!" I hurry picking up whatever I can and stuffing it into my bag.
"What why? What's going on?" He wakes up trying to get my attention, I'm so flustered and worried that I don't answer him instead I'm still running around like a headless chicken.
"Y/n! Look at me what's going on?!" He grabs me making us face each other.
"We've got to go to Hogwarts , Harry sent me a letter they are going to be at Hogwarts in a few days we need to be there early"
He lets go of me , looking at me strangely.
"Yeah alright let me change" before he can say anything else I pull of a Slytherin's uniform out from my bag.
Chucking it at him.
"Where'd you get this?!" He looks the boys uniform.
"It doesn't matter change now!" I a
Walk out as I go to change also.
I go downstairs tidying up a little , but also picking up some stuff we might need.

"Y/n" I snap my head towards the stairs where he was standing in his uniform.
Déjà vu was this moment, seeing him dressed like that.
"I know once we get to Hogwarts , we won't be safe and if something happens then I'll regret never saying this to you-" he steps forward, I internally begged for him not to say anything.
"You're the only person I've ever cared
for and I-" I cut him off by putting my finger up to his lips.
"Don't please just don't say it, don't make me forgive you" I look into His eyes , I knew it was selfish, but he owed me.
"Y/n I can't! If you die or I die then! Then- I'll be a coward and I'll fucking regret not saying it to you!" He begs as he follows me around the house as I pack more things.
"You had your chance ok! You didn't say it! So it doesn't matter now!" I push past him as I open the front door.
"Mattheo- who's that on the beach?" My voice cracks as I see dark figures getting closer.
"What-?" He looks over me and then I'm being pushed inside as he locks the door.
"Give me my wand!"
"No! I can't trust you-"
"Yeah well that trust is gunna end anyway once those death eaters get in here and kill us both for being traitors" he holds out his hand.
I reach into my back pocket giving him his wand.

That's when something flies through the window, with a crash making us both fall to the floor covering ourselves.
Mattheo shielded me from glass as he grabs my hand running towards the back of the house.
"Fuck" he whispers as he sees that they are out back also.
"Y/n I know you don't want me to say it and I respect that but you know what I'm going to say"
Another window crashes and I Yelp as the noise was harsh against my ears.
I look into his eyes kissing him , if we lived then I'd go back to hating him but if we die then maybe our last moments can be beautiful.
"Don't die" I let go of his hand and he calls my name telling me to come back.
"Stupify!" I shout as I quickly run past the kitchen to upstairs.
There was a port key somewhere, Ron left it for me.
I start to throw shit about trying to find it.
"Accio port key" an old boot flies in my hand as I hear footsteps.
Fuck.

I hide behind the door with my wand up by my head ready to strike.
"Crucio" I hear someone drop to the ground.
I peak through the door to see a death eater flat on the ground.
He'd passed out as he hit the floor.
Mattheo just did that to one of his own.
Wow he really was a traitor.
"Don't look at me like that he was going to kill you!" I see a death eater behind him and that's when I throw the port key to him as we both tellport to just outside Hogwarts rounds.
With a thump we both land on our asses.
"Well that was fun" I see him sit up rubbing his head.
"Yeah whatever lets go" I quickly get up walking towards Hogwarts.
That's when I feel a hand wrap around my arm.
"Are we just not going to talk about how you just kissed me back there?" He was in a state of disbelief.
"It didn't mean anything!"
"It might not have to you but it certainly did to me and you knew that!" He scoffs in shock of my response.
"Did I? I don't think you ever cared about me!" I shuffle out of his grip making my way forwards again.
"You said how I was afraid , afraid to admit how I feel towards you! But look who is afraid now!" I stop dead in my tracks , this bastard.
Of course I'm afraid, I'm afraid I'll get rejected again if I choose to take him back, I'm afraid that if I don't take him back that I'll regret it, I'm afraid that I'll never find someone I love more then him and I'm afraid that he'll betray me again . I can't trust him.

"I'm not afraid! I told you how I felt months ago! I'm not afraid because I don't feel anything for you anymore!" I don't even turn round to face him.
"Then why kiss me? Huh? Why say to me 'don't die' if you didn't care you wouldn't of said that!!" I knew he was right , but I couldn't , I couldn't forget how he left me, injured on the floor as I look at Harry as the only boy I've ever loved just runs off into the woods.
Like one of them.
He was one of them. A death eater.
I quickly turn around storming towards him, he had his wand in his hand and I snatch it back.
"I did it because I knew that if you die then at least I won't regret not kissing you for a last time! It meant nothing I know that now because I didn't feel the same after kissing you!" I could practically see his heart shatter from how his eyes frowned.

"How can you say that- after everything!" He pleads and I breathe out deeply.
"After everything? After you stabbed me? Locked me up? Fucking told me that you didn't love me! You left me! You fucking left! So yeah after everything I didn't feel the same way!" I stuff his wand into my bag.
"You know how I feel about you! Don't say you don't because you know how much I care for you!"
"Yeah sure you really care about me to just fucking leave me!!"
"It was the only way to keep you safe! Why can't you fucking see that! It's all i ever do! Is make sure you don't die! Because if you did I don't know what I'd fucking do!" We both stand there awkwardly.
"You know I-" he starts before I cut in again.
"Don't say it now if you couldn't say it before" I warn and he shakes his head.
"I care about you!" He begs for me to be nicer to him.

"I don't care how much you care about me or how much you think you love me! It's over! We are over!!" My words were cracked slightly towards the end and I see his eyes get glassy.
If he thinks that I'm going to change my mind just because he looks like he's going to cry he's mistaken.
He's made me cry to many times it's his turn to cry.
"It's getting late we should start to make our way to Hogwarts"
I say before he pushes past me.
A single tear drops from his eyes (that I could see), I almost felt bad.
Almost.
He walk for a hour in silence.
"We need a plan" Mattheo turns sharply making me bump into him.
"A plan on how to get into Hogwarts , Snape took over and he has the Roy twins guarding the castle" I could see his eyes were still glassy and that they were slightly red underneath.
"Roy twins? Is that-"
"Sylvia's brother and sister yeah their death eaters and before you say anything no Sylvia isn't one she would never be one , she's lucky she wasn't called up like Pansy"
Pansy-
Pansy is a death eater-
She didn't want that , she deserves so much more then that.
She was so happy with Sylvia.
"Ok so how are we going to get in? Can't you just talk to them? They should know you" I joke walking past him

"If they see me they will probably kill me and then you" he says deadly seriously.
"Oh" is all I say as I turn to look at him.
"Oh? Great! We are both going to die because you didn't plan this at all" he rolls his eyes , transforming back to his cold self.
"Yeah sorry I don't plan things like you" I fire back following him as he storms off.
"God if I knew that you were going to be this bitchy then I would of never handed you my wand back"
He's a prick.
"Shut up you twat" I smack the back of his head.
"Maybe a tongue twisting hex or a silencing charm?" He states almost like he had his wand.
"Well if I knew that you were going to be a sappy fucker then i would never of given you the port key" I hear him scoff as we see Hogwarts.

We were standing a few feet away from where Hargids hut would of been if Bellatrix didn't set it on fire.
"Hmm is that so? I was never sappy in bed though considering you were screaming my name every time I touched you"
"No you were sloppy and now you've got a sappy personality to match" that's when he grabs me hiding us behind a tree, putting his hand over my mouth.
My back was on his chest as he pushed us closer together.
He takes his hand off my mouth pointing up to the castle where I see one of the Roy twins sat smoking.
"I was never sloppy" he whispers and I huff in annoyance.
He was really continuing this when we were literally waiting for the Roy twin to fuck off.

"Really? Well I faked it all and Harry was a better fuck" I shout whisper as his grip tightens around my waist.
"Don't lie" he warns back, his voice raising.
"I'm not and if you keep shouting then we are both going to get caught asshole" I notice the twin that I knew as Amycus (the brother) walking closer to us.
He's clearly heard our voices.
"Shush" Mattheo holds me tighter to him as he moves round the tree more out of sight from the man.
I hold my breathe as he starts to look round our tree.
"Amycus come on Snape wants us" I hear his twin sister shout as he makes his way up to the castle again.
I breathe out deeply in relief.
I notice Mattheo still holding me tight, I try to get out of his grip but that's when he grabs my neck forcing me to look up at him.
He was upside down of course , as my head rested on his shoulder.
"Don't ever compare me to Potter" he growls letting go of me as I push away from him.
"Your so immature! Fucking talking while we were hiding! Are you stupid?" I growl as I walk up the hill, looking around to make sure no one was watching us.
"No I'm not because if I was stupid like you I wouldn't have A plan to get in to Hogwarts safely but because I'm not you I actually indeed have a plan" he was the most aggravating son of a bitch .

"This way" he nods towards the castle.
I realise as we are half way up the hill that this was the last place I saw Mattheo before the war.
Almost like clock work he realised too as he looked at me, his eyes never properly meeting mine.
"I was lucky the grass was more Bouncy when you fucking left me here after flying back 20 feet" if he wasn't going to say something I was.
"God will you ever stop bringing that up? Like you've never made mistakes" he scoffs as we set foot in the castle.
"This way come on" he grabs me round a corner that I never knew existed.
It was a secret passage.
"Where does this lead?" I speak as the only sound we could hear were our foot steps.

"To slytherin's common room" he looks back with a smirk. That smug fucker.
He opens what looks like a painting as we jump into the common room that was filled with some students.
They all look at us and I notice one of them being Sylvia.
"Sylvia?!" I smile as I see her face, soon enough we both were hugging each other.
"Why's he with you?!" She growls pointing at Riddle.
"Long story" I grab her face smiling.
"Pansy is one of them, she left just like Blaise and Draco" Sylvia melts into my touch.
She was clearly not doing well.
"I know but Pansy wouldn't join them willingly" I sigh and Sylvia shakes her head.
"She isn't the same girl I fell for! She's one of them! She's with you!" She points at Riddle angrily.
"Yeah? And your siblings are one of them too so what's that make you? Huh?" Riddle taunts and I scowl as I push Sylvia away from riddle trying to stop them from fighting.

"Look everyone! The war is happening and it's getting worse! But you can't tell anyone that he is here! We need him!" I look at the slytherin students around me who were mostly younger years.
"They won't tell anyone , most of us here are defying our parents , refusing to join them , my siblings don't even know I'm here, Marty sneaks me food in" Sylvia hugs a younger boy who had ginger hair.
"Ok good come on Riddle" I look at him , wanting him to follow me but he wouldn't move.
"Now!" I demand as he finally moves his feet.
As we get up stairs I find an empty room.
"You hear what she said down there? About Pansy? What a joke Pansy never wanted this! But yet again you do Gooders think you know everything" Mattheo looked very annoyed as he sat on the bed.

"You and Pansy were like sisters , now your letting people talk down about her like that? And I'm the one that's changed? What a joke" he scoffs in disbelief.
"I know Pansy didn't want this! And I still love her I would never talk about her like that because I know that she is different from the rest of you"
By 'you' I meant death eaters , I watch as his face twists.
"You think I wanted this?! Huh? You think I wanted to leave the only girl that I've ever cared for? You think I wanted to fight and then probably die with my father or worse win with him?! No! I wanted to finish school, I wanted to get married , have children , grow old with someone I love! But yet again I'm the person that everyone hates! I didn't want this!"
His breathing was heavy as I just look at him.
I didn't have any words, I forgot that he in fact had dreams and desires like everyone else.
I guess even the darkest people can want positive things.
"You wouldn't understand because you aren't like me , you didn't grow up with a Father who raised you to be this person! For this to be your destiny instead you had loving parents! Your life was perfect and in every single way I envy you!" He confesses as he walks into the bathroom slamming the door.
"Riddle-" I knock on the door once but no answer.
"Riddle!" I say with more force but he still doesn't respond.
"Mattheo answer me-" all I could hear was my harsh breathing against the door.
Still no response.

"Theo I'm going to get you food I'll be back soon don't leave please" still nothing.
I think that was the first time I called him 'Theo' since seeing him again.
I walk away from the door "ok" i hear a faint voice from behind the door.
I walk out locking the door with a charm that only I could break.
