"The girl in the woods and your first love will always be with you. They are your destiny," Renfri had managed to say as her eyes glazed over, ready to die.

Geralt knelt next to the woman with one hand resting on her back and this other shutting her eyes, these actions occurring due to the respect that he had for her.

She could have killed him, and she could have bested a witcher, but she did not. She had then paid the price with her death.

Slowly, the townspeople of Blaviken started to come outside to see what was the outcome of the battle between him and Renfri.

The streets were filled with blood, headless corpses all because of Geralt.

As soon as they had seen this, a perspective was built against him, and there was nothing he could do but take the hits of the stones that the townspeople were throwing at him. He had grunted in pain every time a stone had hit him but had eventually left Blaviken with Roach.

As Geralt was walking, he could not forget what Renfri had said to him in her dying breath. He did not know who the girl in the woods was, but he knew who the other girl was.

How could he ever forget about the girl who was his first love, his Aphrodite. The woman who he would do anything for, and she had now become a part of his destiny.

Geralt had thought that he had lost all aspects of his life before he became a witcher, but apparently there was one door that was still left. The door held the memories of the woman that he loved, and the woman that he would do anything for, even kill.

"Roach, what the fuck do I do now?" Geralt had said to his horse.

As though the horse could understand him, he neighed as a response and stomped his foot against the ground. Though Gerlad could not understand the horse, he had made his own interpretation of what he was attempting to say.

"I do not believe in fate or destiny, and I am not going to start now," Geralt replied to the actions that his horse had made.

He truly did not believe in destiny, and he had a strong belief that destiny was a way for the humans to give an answer to the chaos that is present. The chaos was something that Geralt had understood well, as all other supernatural creatures did as well.

Though, what Renfri had said had caused him to think against his own belief, believing that maybe what she was saying was true.

He had then shrugged his shoulders and spoke again to the horse,

"If she was really my destiny, then she would not have run away in the first place," and with that being said, Geralt continued his adventure.
