~Day 3~

Last night's events didn't leave Lisa's mind since the moment she opened her eyes on the next morning. She was amazed how she met exactly the owner of the company she was so enthusiastic about. She was supposed to take her time in making the decision about giving her a hand but after she saw Jennie that night, she immediately knew what she had to do.

The ways Jennie knew exactly what she wanted in life and the way she chased and worked hard for her dreams even tho the people around her didn't support her fully with that-those were some of the reasons which made Lisa take a quick decision and help the girl prove that she can, and that her dream is worth it. She hoped that Jennie would accept the offer and they could work together in the future.

But after last night, not only Jennie's determination was stuck in Lisa's head. It was everything from her hair to her eyes, nose, lips, smile, voice, scent, body, the way she spoke and held herself. Every detail was unintentionally glued in her mind and kept replaying over and over again. This woman was really something. Lisa felt her lips twich in a small smile every time she imagined the pretty face in front of her.

She had never felt anything like that when she went out with other women before. That was new. Maybe it was the fact that she wasn't one of her usual one-night stands, maybe it was that their personalities actually fit pretty well together or maybe it was just because she actually really enjoyed the woman's company that made those feeling appear. She, tho, didn't know If she would ever see her again. Her only chance was if Jennie accepted the proposal she made to her.

Lisa was pulled out of her thoughts when she heard a knock on her door. This time she settled for room service. After she was done with her breakfast and dressing up, she made her way towards the second day of the conference. As she arrived, it looked like she had a deja vu. All eyes were on her again as she stepped out of the car, the same people greated in the same way as before and she walked through the same long hallway that led toward the same big double doors of the conference room.

As she walked inside, everything was the same as she expected, except for some people that she didn't see on yesterday's meeting. To pass the time faster, she made a few quick conversations with random businessmen she saw around the room. A few minutes later, a man of age walked inside and started the conference.

Everyone hurried go take their places. Lisa sat down between two men in the middle of the table, making herself comfortable on the soft padding of the chair. But when she lifted her head, she saw something that she didn't really expect to see there. Jennie was sitting on the opposite side of the table, in her formal woman suit, straight hair and almost makeupless face. She looked beautiful.

She was attentively listening to what the old man had to say while Lisa just stood stunned, not taking her eyes away for even a second which made her heart beat in a weird rhythm. Maybe Jennie felt Lisa's stares as she turned her head towards her after a few seconds and stared back. Just as Lisa, Jennie was visibly surprised by the woman on the other end. They were looking at each other for some second right before Jennie shot at her a pretty gummy smile, which Lisa eventually returned when she got back to consciousness.

For the rest of the meeting they constantly took glances at the one another, sometimes smiling, sometimes trying to stifle their laughter. The long meeting didn't seem as boring to Lisa as the one the previous day. They had someone to distract them throughout the whole time and make the experience at least a little enjoyable. After 4 long hours, it was finally over.

Lisa stood up and immediately headed out of the room but she stopped right outside to wait for Jennie in case she wanted to join her. She watched as the people one by one made their way out as well and went on with their own business. It was a few minutes later when Jennie finally walked out of the room and headed towards her when she saw Lisa was waiting. The moment they laid eyes on each other, their smiles were present.

"Sorry for making you wait. I thought you left so I had a small talk with one of the guests. If I knew you were waiting, I would have walked out with you" Jennie said they both made their way out together.

"Don't worry about it. I couldn't go without saying goodbye now, could I?" Lisa laughed.

"I guess so. So, where are you headed now?" Jennie asked as she thought they could spend some time together if she was free. She genuinely enjoyed the stranger's company last night.

"I don't really have anything to do after the conferences except going around the city and explore, or just staying at my hotel room. But since I'm getting hungry, and maybe you too, may I take you out for lunch, Miss Kim?" Lisa said teasingly.

"I would love to, Miss Manoban" Jennie immediately agreed before they got out of the building.

When they got into Lisa's driver's car, they instructed him to take them to the best restaurant nearby. 15 minutes later in the ride, they arrived at a fancy looking place with tipical French style architecture, that was almost packed with people. It looked like it was a pretty famous place among parisians and they had to hope for at least an empty table for two. Thank God that their luck was present that day.

A well-dressed waiter escorted them to an elegant looking table just next to a big window with a beautiful view. He excused himself after leaving them with the menus. Lisa went over to Jennie's side and pulled out the chair for her to sit on.

"Oh, the gentlewoman you are, Lisa" she decided to tease her a little.

"Shut up" Lisa replied playfully and they both laughed.

They proceeded with opening the menus and choosing their lunch for the day. 5 minutes later, their orders were already taken and they just had to wait and taste the supposedly delicious food the restaurant offered.

"So, where were we with our conversation earlier in the car?" Lisa asked.

"I last asked you what it was like to handle such a big company on your own" Jennie asked.

"Well, it's hard and pressuring, to be honest. You have so much work to do, many documents to sign, have to take care of hundreds of staff and office workers, have to take big and important decisions. You also have big responsibility on your shoulders, for the company's image for example. If you fuck up, then you drag everything you and your family have built down the drain and you are marked for life by the media and the business world.

But there is a good side of it also. Or maybe...half good, half bad, and that's all the traveling I do. It's exhausting and I'm barely home most of the time, got no time for friends or family also. But it also gives me the opportunity to see new places, study new cultures and traditions, try different kinds of food and of course meet new people along the way sometimes. It's refreshing to see a different side of your world" Lisa explained with a smile on her face as she was looking straight at Jennie's beautiful cat eyes.

"Sounds tough but intriguing" the blonde quickly nodded in confirmation.

"It is. But since I was little I always watched how my dad handled things in the company and I learned from him. This really helps me now. I feel like I had real experience which makes it easier"

"That's good to hear. I never had such experience, it's all new to me. My parents are just ordinary people with 8-5 jobs. We never had a huge house or were full of money but we lived well. They have always wanted me to have a good job, something that would make great money so I would be able to live a normal life without any difficulties. They didn't think parfumery would get me anywhere but I stuck with it anyways because that's what I want to do and for now it's paying off good" Jennie looked at Lisa with a smile which she returned.

"I'm glad you didn't let them separate you from your dream. It doesn't matter what you do as long as you like and enjoy it. You can show them it's worth it" Lisa smiled at the brunette, which she immediately mirrored.

Me too. I will show them I can do it"

"If you ever need help, just try to contact me. I'll do whatever I can" Lisa said as she bent a little forward and placed her hand on top of Jennie's that was layed on the table. Just then the waiter came with their order so Lisa had to pull away quickly. He put the plates on the table and walked away. She spoke again as they dug in.

"So, what do you think? Will you do it?" Lisa asked her. Jennie seemed to be in thoughts this time. After a few seconds a heavy sigh could be heard from Jennie's mouth.

"I guess. I'll try to look for you but I'll also try to do it on my own first. I don't want to depend on others" Jennie spoke as she looked in Lisa's eyes seriously.

"I get it. By the way, when are you going back home?" Lisa asked her as she took a bite of her food.

"I'm here for 10 days, today is my 4th. What about you?"

"I'm here for a week and that's my 3rd day here yet. It's more like a vacation than a business trip for me since I don't have anything work related to do except for the conferences. It gives me time to explore the city" Lisa smiled. They both raised their wine glasses and crashed them together softly. "Cheers"

They kept talking about different things for a few more hours until they finished their food. Everyone and everything seemed to dissappear when they were together and only them both were present at those moments. They would lie if they said the other one wasn't already the best part of their trips to Paris. They had someone to share their experiences and time with and it was worth every second. They were glad they met each other in the meaning of the friendship they were building the more time they spent together.

Just before leaving, Lisa excused herself so she could use the restroom, leaving Jennie alone on the table for a minute. Suddenly Jennie heard a noise coming from Lisa's side of the table. She turned her head noticed that the blonde's phone was lit up with a message she had just received. Jennie didn't mean to read it as she looked there but the curiosity got the best of her.

From: Rosie ❤️
Hey, baby! How are you doing there? Is everything going OK? I miss you! Text me back as soon as possible. Kisses :*

As she read that, she started feeling a little bit weird. Why? She had no idea. Maybe because of the fact that Lisa had a girlfriend? But why was the weird feeling for? Because Lisa had a girlfriend...? Or because she had a girlfriend...as in she was not single?

They haven't yet talked about anything more personal like their personal life, but Jennie was left with the impression that Lisa was indeed single. Jennie wasn't a homophobe or anything like that. And how could she? No one deserved to be hated for who they love. She never understood the people who were against that. Love is love, no matter the gender, and she knew it the best as she remembered her last girlfriend two years ago and their so not accepted relationship.

So what was that feeling she felt at that moment? Was it... disappointment? Why would she feel disappointed tho? She didn't like Lisa or anything like that. They just met, for fucking sake. And she could date if she wanted. She-

"Jennie? Hey!" Jennie was pulled out of her thoughts as she heard her name being called and a weak push on her shoulder. She looked straight ahead and noticed that it was Lisa who had came back.

"Uh? Yes?"

"I've been calling for some time now. You seemed to be in deep thoughts. Is everything OK?" Lisa asked as she lifted her eyebrows with curiosity and eyes full of concern. "Y-yeah. Everything is fine. Don't worry" Jennie said with a smile on her face, trying to assure her that everything was fine. It really was fine.

"OK, then. Shall we go?" Lisa said as she smiled at the latter as they stood up and walked out after paying the bill. The driver was already waiting outside.

"Get it out of your head. It doesn't matter. I don't care" Jennie though as they walked.

They stopped right next to the car and turned to look at each other. "Let me drop you off at your hotel, can I?" Lisa asked.

"No, Lisa. It's fine, I can walk. Don't worry" Jennie shook her head, rejecting the offer.

"But it's getting colder. You can't walk in this temperature, you'll surely get sick later. Come inside. Or at least call your driver to come and pick you up if you won't let me"

"No, I don't have a driver. I just walk around. It's not a problem. A little cardio won't be bad for me" Jennie said as she tried to excuse the situation.

"You don't have a driver? Didn't they assign you one when they invited you here?" Lisa asked as she was surprised by what Jennie said.

"No, they didn't but it's really not a problem" Jennie said, but Lisa insisted again.

"No, no, get inside. I'll drop you off" Jennie just sighed and gave up. Looks like Lisa is too stubborn and won't let go too easily. The both got inside and sat comfortably next to each other.

"So, what's the name of of your hotel?" Lisa asked.

"Saint Louis. It's not very far from here I think" Jennie said and Lisa once again was dumbstruck at one place.

"OK, this is getting weird" Lisa said.

"What do you mean?" Jennie immediately looked at her with confusion.

"I swear to God, that's the hotel where I'm staying at. I'm not even joking" Lisa laughed at the newfound 'coincidence'.

"Yeah, that's definitely weird. First how we met, then the conference room and now the hotel? Fate is trying to say something" Jennie joked as she thought back to all the things that happened recently with them.

'Fate... ' Lisa thought.

"She can be anywhere, Lis. Fate will bring you to her, you'll see" Jisoo's words on the balcony the night before the flight immediately echoed in her mind. Was that what fate was trying to tell her? That Jennie is 'the one'? That can't be right. What were the chances of that happening exactly here, on the other side of the world?

"Yeah...fate" Lisa stared at Jennie's pretty side profile with a tiny smile on her face that slowly grew bigger.

She turned straight ahead and instructed the man to drive towards the hotel. It was silent ride most the time. Just the noises from the jammed Paris streets and the car's engine could be heard. Lisa pulled out her phone to check if she got anything new when she noticed Chaeyoung's message. She immediately typed a reply as she smiled at her best friend's cuteness. Jennie noticed that and she thought that Lisa was texting her girlfriend. The thought of that gave a slight pinch on her heart, making it slightly ache. She looked ahead, trying to distract herself.

"Stop that, Jennie. What the hell is wrong with you?"

The driver suddenly took a left turn which made Jennie practically lean her whole body on Lisa's and their hands to touch for a few quick seconds, which gave both of them that weird feeling all over again. When they arrived at the hotel, they walked inside together and towards the metal doors of the elevator.

"Now if you tell me you are on the 2nd floor, I'll go totally insane" Jennie laughed as they waited for the elevator to arrive.

"No, I'm on the 8th. Room 888" Lisa chuckled at the weird number.

"Mine is 239. Come visit sometime" Jennie joked. They doors opened and they walked inside.

"I may do that. By the way, after all I did for you, can I at least have your number? You already have mine" Lisa teased and let a smirk play on her lips.

"Give me your phone" Jennie put a waiting hand in front of Lisa. The blonde hurriedly took her phone out of her pocket and gave it to the other woman, waiting for her to insert her number. After a quick type, Jennie returned it back in Lisa's hand. The blonde took a look at it and saw the name Jennie saved herself as. 'My fate Jennie' was written above her number. Lisa stood frozen for a few seconds as she was getting more confused, until she felt Jennie nudge her side to catch her attention.

"We are here. I'm gonna go now. Have a good night" She said as the doors opened. They stood standing in front of each other and just stared.

"Yeah. Have a good night too" Lisa said quietly. Just before Jennie stepped outside, she tiptoed and wrapped her hands around Lisa's neck, giving her a quick hug.

"Thank you for everything. And for making my stay here not as boring as I thought it would be" she said, closing her eyes and feeling the moment. She felt Lisa's arm wrap around her waist uncertainly and pulled her closer.

"Don't thank me. You do the same for me so we are even" Jennie chuckled and pulled away from the hug before walking away.

"Bye"

Lisa didn't take her eyes from her back until the door closed, making her figure dissappear behind the metal.

"Bye"

When she arrived at her quiet dark room, she changed her clothes and threw herself on the bed where her confused thoughts flooded her mind. Could Jisoo's bullshit talks actually be true? Was fate really trying to point towards Jennie or was Lisa just going crazy? While Lisa was getting more confused with the things she felt, Jennie was on the total opposite way.

She was discovering the new feeling. After the message Jennie saw on Lisa's phone, the thought of her having a girlfriend kinda made Jennie...want her more? Was that it? She definitely wanted to spend more time with Lisa, as much as she could. She was funny and they always had something to talk about for hours. It was never boring around that woman.

The stares, the touches and the hug they shared still lingered on their bodies. They both liked how it felt even tho the feeling was different than what they would feel with someone else, and that confused both. It was still not too late so Lisa couldn't fall asleep sleep. She was wondering what she could do to pass the time.

She remembered how Jennie said she didn't have a driver there. She probably walked to the building where the conferences were held every morning, and then went back the same way. She was risking her health. An idea suddenly came up in Lisa's mind so she quickly grabbed her phone and dug up Jennie's number.

Lisa:
Hey, are you still up? It's Lisa btw

She texted the other girl, put her phone on her belly and looked at the ceiling, impatiently waiting for her answer. It didn't take long intil she heard the notification.

Jennie:
Oh, hi Lisa. What's up?

Lisa:
What are you doing right now?

Jennie:

I can't fall asleep so I decided to check my phone and saw you texted. Wby?

Lisa:
I can't sleep also

Look, I remembered you said you don't have a driver so I wanted to ask if you want to come with me to the conference tomorrow morning? So you don't have to walk all the way there, you know

Jennie:
You sure? Can I?

Lisa:
Of course. If you are up then we can meet tomorrow morning at 10:30am in the lobby. We can grab a quick breakfast before we head out together. What do you think?

Jennie:
Perfect. Thank you so much

Lisa:
Welcome

They kept the conversation going even in the chat until it got late. That night they both went to sleep with big smiles on their faces and happy feeling in their hearts.
