~Third Person's POV

Crestfallen, she looked at the bunch of smiling faces which were glimmering by her bed, holding a bunch of flowers, chocolates and get well soon cards for her.

Everyone was there by her side, her students, the Doctor, Ms. Nancy (The sister) and her favourite white roses too! The only face which was missing was the one she was yearning to see the most. But it was nowhere to be seen.

"Get well soon, Miss Hooriyah!"

One by one, the children came and kissed her cheeks and placed white roses by her side wishing her a speedy recovery. She smiled and thanked them all. There were so many people who cared for her, but still her mind was continuously revolving around the one whom she believed that she hated the most.

"We promise you teacher, we will work hard from now on, and we will not annoy you again!"

One of the students mumbled on behalf of everyone.

"Yes teacher, I will be the most successful mathematician when I grow up. I promise."

Raniya smiled adorably making her teacher recall the time when she answered four forty seven instead of forty. She burst into laughter while patting her little rosy cheeks.

"Yes you will!" She hugged her favourite student.

"And I am going to help you in becoming the most brilliant mathematician of this world!"

A familiar voice interrupted the laughter filled conversation filling the air with pin drop silence. Her gloomy gaze immediately fell upon the man who was blessed with mesmerizing olive green eyes which were sparkling with love. Her heart started to race faster as her fear of losing him again, slowly faded away. He smiled brightly as he came inside the room confidently, holding numerous pink and white colored balloons in one hand, behind which his glittery eyes were playing hide and seek, and a huge box of cake in the other hand.

"I'm sure we don't want the patient to feel sick again. We must let her sleep now!"

Dr.Hammad announced immediately after looking at the person who had just interrupted such a peaceful atmosphere.

"Oh come on doctor! She's been sleeping since two days already, let her stay awake now, she might be bored!"

Shahveer gave a frustrated look to the doctor making him roll his eyes with anger.

"Kitna soti ho tum Hooriyah? Bachpan ki aadat abi tak gayi nahi tumhari?"

He smirked while looking at his beloved making her eyes go wide with embarassment as everyone burst into laughter, except Hammad.

"Thank God you came! Now she will recover with the speed of thunderbolt!"

Ms. Nancy smiled as she patted his head with happiness while Hooriyah stayed quiet, trying to avoid any sort of eye contact with him. He slowly came near and whispered something in her ears making everyone giggle in the room.

"Balloons, for the one who chopped my hair in anger as I burst all of those on her special day!"

He forwarded the bunch of balloons to her trying to recall her the memory from their childhood, when she had turned four.

"It was a nice hairstyle, as far as I remember!"

He smiled while waiting for her to take them. She tried hard not to burst into laugher and quietly took them.

"Well I brought this cake too, Hoor! Would you mind if we celebrate your recovery, with these children?"

He asked sweetly while sitting by her side and tried to control his laughter as she flinched and started panicking. His bold moves always made her heart beat with the speed of a rollercoaster.

"I think she shouldn't eat this right now!"

Hammad interfered.

"A small bite of cake won't harm her I swear. Besides, I think there are other patients too who need your attention!"

Ms. Nancy interrupted and gave him a cold stare.

"Yes Hammad, I am fine, I have wasted your time a lot, you can go and check the other patients now!"

Hooriyah smiled as she looked at his unsatisfied face, due to which, he had to leave the room unintentionally.

"Come on Hooriyah, he is waiting, open the cake and cut it!"

Ms. Nancy caressed her hair with affection.

She remained quiet as she stared at him with immense anger.

"Uff, these killer eyes are going to take my life one day!"

He whispered in her ears due to which she immediately averted her fearsome gaze from his face making him giggle shamelessly.

"Come on my child! Open the box!"

Ms. Nancy insisted again.

"Kisi ko itna intizar krwana achi baat nae hoti! Am I right kids?"

He looked at the children with a disappointed look.

"Yes teacher, he is absolutely right!"

The kids answered spontaneously to which she glared them with anger. But it wasn't going to last that long as little Raniya immediately popped out from the bed and took the cake from Shahveer's hand and forcefully handed it to her teacher, because of which, she couldn't resist anymore.

"Fine then!"

She mumbled to herself with annoyance, making everyone feel extremely delightful. Specially the one who had bought the cake.

As she slowly removed the pink colored ribbons from the beautifully wrapped box and opened it, a red velvet cake decorated with lots of scrumptious maltesers, welcomed her with it's mouthwatering and aesthetically pleasing appearance.

On the top of it was written,

"Get Well Soon Marshmallow!",

to which she smiled a little and looked at Shahveer with her eyes overflowing with a feeling which she hated to express since five years.

"Who's Marshmallow?"

The kids giggled while reading the name.

"It's your teacher. And I'm sure she won't mind at all if you also call her Miss Marshmallow!"

Shahveer smirked while his gaze never averted from those tired pair of hazel brown eyes which were now overflowing with anger and embarassment.

"Was it necessary to tell them?"

She barely whispered.

"What's wrong with that my love, it's such a cute name!"

He pinched the top of her nose while adoring her angry expressions to which she jerked and immediately removed his hand.

"Don't call me that, and never do this thing again!"

She scolded him as he chuckled shamelessly, while Ms. Nancy and the kids continued to laugh even more harder.

"Okay teacher! Now please cut the cake, I'm hungry!"

Shahveer pouted like a small child, making her heart melt for a mini second.

Reluctantly, she took the knife from him and started cutting the cake. Everyone clapped with happiness and the cake was distributed among all of them by Shahveer, but she still didn't feel like eating it. As everyone continued to relish the scrumptious cake in the other corner of the room, Shahveer silently watched her sitting on the bed alone, playing with the spoon and not eating anything which made him feel upset. He led the children outside the room so she could have some rest and then silently came inside and sat by her side.

"Why aren't you eating?" He asked innocently.

"I don't want to!"

She mumbled under her own breath, not looking at him, which made her look more adorable in his eyes. He silently took the plate from her hands and scooped a piece out of the cake through the spoon and raised to the level of her mouth.

"Eat!" He whispered politely.

She shook her head like a stubborn child.

"I said eat, Hooriyah!" He smiled and brought the spoon closer to her lips.

"I said that I don't want to eat!" She scolded him again.

"Tum mujhe boht dant'ti ho! "

He lowered his head with disappointment as she remained silent and pursed her lips, trying hard not to laugh in front of him.

"Please!" He pleaded again while raising the spoon once more.

She finally looked up and stared at him with anger which immediately faded away when her gaze fell upon those large olive green eyes which were sparkling with a thin layer of tears. She continued to stare at him with astonishment for few more minutes, wondering that how can tears appear in the eyes of a man who used to be an owner of a heart which was as hard as a stone. What happened to that heart in all these years? The heart which loved to degrade others and laugh upon their miseries, had finally learned to melt? What made his heart so soft? What made those tears come in his eyes? He was a strong man, who hated to shed a single tear in front of others, and now the same tears were continuously trickling down his angelic face, making her heart wince with pain. Because maybe it was the last thing she wanted to see in those lovely eyes.

The tears!

After realizing that she had been staring at him for more than five minutes, she finally gave up and slowly opened her mouth and took the piece of cake resting on the spoon like a small snowy mountain.

"Thank you!"

His eyes beamed with happiness as he wiped his tears like a child and continued to make her eat the rest of the cake in her plate.

"Why are you crying?"

Not wanting to ask this question, she still mustered up some courage to speak.

After a brief pause of silence, he opened his lips to speak.

"You won't understand, Hooriyah!"

He looked at her with his gloomy, tear filled eyes and wiped her mouth with a tissue paper. She continued to watch him with amazement. What won't she understand? Was this the same man she had left behind five years ago? How can someone change so much?

"Get Well Soon, Dear!"

He patted her cheeks gently, rearranged her pillow, covered her with the blanket and stood up to leave while she continued to stare at him blankly.

"What won't I understand, Shahveer?"

She asked weakly, to which he turned and looked back at her with a heart breaking emotion.

"Nothing Hooriyah!"

He smiled and finally left, leaving her in a state of shock and confusion. She had never witnessed tears in his eyes before, but what had happened now?

Little did she know, that seeing her in this condition was continuously spreading poison in his veins. Looking at this vulnerable state of Hooriyah was making his heart bleed pathetically and realizing the fact that he was the reason behind the pain caused to her and knowing that he was the reason behind those cannulas on her delicate hands, was torturing his soul.

It had been several days since he had decided to extend his stay in the village, trying his best to win Hooriyah's heart again, which seemed to be extremely difficult. She had been fully recovered by now but still he used to be very careful while interacting with her in order to avoid unintentionally hurting her with his presence.

He had already informed his Mom and Dad about Hooriyah and after knowing that he was going to bring her back very soon, they cried with joy and became extremely happy and started blessing both of them with uncountable prayers while his mother had also started to recover from her illness gradually. As for Amir, he had already left for Kalam Valley, but after knowing that Shahveer had not left Pakistan and the reason for not going back to Manchester, he came back to Kumrat to meet his friend and congratulate him for the fulfillment of his wishes.

Winters were at its peak and finally the most awaited wedding of the daughter of one of the wealthiest villagers arrived, who was a very close friend of Hooriyah.

Shahveer was also invited as he had been very well-known among the villagers since one month now. He had been impatiently looking forward for this day since weeks as he was fond of cultural weddings, festivities and traditions of northern Pakistan and this was the only way he could spend some quality time with his beloved.

Decorated with bunches of red roses, marigolds, ribbons, and golden LED lights, the garden looked beyond beautiful under the starry sky while the moonlight cascaded down the stairs like a beautiful bride, never failing to mesmerize the one who was extremely fascinated by the graceful arrangements done for the wedding. He watched the adorable kids with delight, who were running here and there while the ladies dressed in traditional, colorful and sparkling dresses, continued to giggle and prepare themselves for the arrival of Baraat , while holding the trays decorated with rose petals and sweetened delicacies.

He was engrossed to the full. All he had seen throughout his life were lavish and extravagant weddings, on which lots and lots of money was spent magnificently but still there won't be any such thing called as peace. But this wedding was simple but elegant. Less lavish, but extremely peaceful!

Lost in his delightful thoughts, he failed to notice the sudden arrival of his beloved, who was laughing melodiously while making a small kid giggle with joy, who was crying because a genie was not coming out of his Aladin's lamp.

As his gaze eventually landed on her, his heart skipped a beat while his eyes forgot how to blink. She was dressed beautifully in a yellow colored lehenga, while her long brown hair were tied in a neat bun with the help of a beautiful gajra. Few loose strands of hair magically draped down her forehead while those long golden jhumkas continued to kiss her rosy cheeks as she laughed and shook her head adorably. Her creamy skin tone was glowing like a galaxy under the lights coming from the chandeliers while her large kohl-filled eyes twinkled like the stars high above.

"Okay dear, now make a wish!" She wiped his tears and asked him to rub the lamp.

"I want a chocolate!" The boy mumbled adorably.

She immediately took few chocolates out of nowhere and placed them in his hands. The kid jumped with joy and kissed her cheeks, thanked her and left, leaving his lamp with her.

It felt as if a lovely fairy or an angel had mistakenly stepped in a world full of cruelty and sins. Shahveer's heart wanted to admit that he had never seen this much beauty and chastity and had never felt attracted to any girl like this before.

She was the only one!

The only Hoor of his Duniya !

"Oh my beloved!"

He whispered to himself like he always did, while a tiny smile danced through his lips as he slowly walked towards her, trying his best not to snatch that beautiful laughter away from her so soon.

She continued to stare at the golden Aladin's lamp and rubbed it mischievously as if waiting for the genie to appear who could fulfil her three wishes.

"Well here I am. What are your other two wishes?" He smirked while looking at the queen of his heart.

Leaving the lamp on the floor, she stood up and looked at him with annoyance.

"My other two wishes are: kindly stop chasing me and leave this place this instant!"

She smiled and then immediately gave him an angry glare and turned to leave, horribly melting his heart away.

"Error 404, wishes not found!"

He followed her while trying his best to meet her pace.

"Stop following me Veer! I mean Shahveer!" She stopped by a beautiful pond filled with lotus, and sniffed angrily.

"But there is something wrong with my eyes!" He pouted innocently.

"What happened to them?" She glared at him with annoyance.

"I can't take them off you!"

He grinned satanically making her roll her eyes due to being disappointed for such a lame humor.

"You are unbelievable, Shahveer!"

"What about you then? You must be a broom I guess!" He giggled mischievously.

"What?" She eyed him angrily.

"'Cause you just swept me off my feet!"

He burst into laughter while holding his stomach and shaking his head as she watched him with a confused expression.

"What's wrong with you?" She tried hard to control her own laughter and succeeded by covering it with an angry expression.

"Nothing at all. Its just that I'm feeling a bit tired!" He became serious.

"Why?" She asked with innocence.

"Because I had been running on your mind all day long!" He started laughing again.

"Stop flirting with me. You are looking cheap!"

She looked at him with disgust and turned to leave but failed to do so as he immediately grabbed her arm and stopped her from leaving.

"I don't flirt anymore, Hooriyah!" His voice deepened while his expressions turned into serious ones.

She remained silent as she continued to stare at those olive green eyes, the eyes for which she thought she could die. As he started noticing her discomfort, he immediately loosened his grip and apologized.

"I'm sorry for hurting you again, I just wanted to say that___"

He paused as she continued to study his face with her scrutinizing gaze, silently dyeing to listen those words from him.

"I.....I......" He stammered.

Her questioning gazes never averted from his face, but his eyes were lowered due to nervousness.

"You are looking extremely beautiful today. And perhaps your face is the only beautiful thing which I have ever seen in this world. Its more magical and charming than this crescent. MashaAllah !"

He pointed towards the same moon which had witnessed the night at which the words coming out of his mouth stated otherwise!

"Thank You!"

She whispered politely as they continued to stare at each other, lost in a world unknown to them.

Suddenly the loud sound of drums and trumpets interrupted that peaceful moment which they were sharing together, indicating that the Barat had arrived.

The eye contact finally ended as he excused and unwillingly left her alone. Lost in her own thoughts, she continued to stare at the disappearing reflection of Shahveer on the pond, remembering that miserable night.

"How I wish you had first seen your ugly face in the damn mirror before confessing your shitty feelings to me!" He was smiling cunningly while taking a sip from his wine.

x-x-x-x-x

She jerked as she came back to her senses, while a lonely tear cascaded down her cheeks.

"The face which seemed to be the ugliest for you, had suddenly become the most beautiful
