"Jackson has called me to his company tomorrow for a meeting." I said as tears welled up in my eyes. I don't know why I was so hurt just because Jungkook was disappointed, but it was just not the right feeling when he ignored me this time.

He turned around and looked at me with a shocked expression.

"Mwo?" he asked. I could see the fury in his eyes.

"Taehyung came over to tell me that. It wasn't what you thought it was, trust me." I told, tears threatened to fall but I held it in. I was scared about Jackson; I had seen the lust he had in his eyes.

"I trust you Y/n, it's just that I wa-" he got closer to me but was cut off by the maid.

"Ms. Kim, your father wants you both inside now."

I just gave her a nod and she left.

"Let's go out later and talk about this." He nodded and we both went in.

I left the three and quickly took a shower and got ready. When I got out to the living room, I saw Taehyung and Jungkook talking to each other very seriously. Soul was resting on Jungkook's lap as he kept petting her head. My parents came down the stairs and joined the two of them and so did I.

We all made our way to the dining table. I sat beside my mom, Jungkook across me with Taehyung beside Jungkook.

"So, Jungkook... How's work going?" My dad asked Jungkook as he bit on his toast.

"Dad, I told you we are not going to discuss business while having food." I tilted my head towards him.

"Oh yeah... It was just so silent." My dad replied.

"And yes, Y/n you are joining us to yours grandfather's place after breakfast." My mom told me.

"I would love to mom but I have plans." I said as I poked on my vegetables, thinking about the promise I made to Jungkook.

"I'm not hearing a 'no' for an answer so you are joining us." My mom calmly said.

I looked up to Jungkook and he gave me a reassuring smile,

"Okay mom." I looked down on to plate and continued having my food.

After the breakfast was over Taehyung and Jungkook left and we left to my halboeji's place.

It was nice to meet him; he was that one person who always knew me by heart. My dad was talking to somebody on the phone whereas my mom and I were having a good chat with halboeji.

"Mom, can I have a talk with Halboeji in private, please." I asked my mom and she happily nodded and left us alone.

"What is it Y/n? Is everything fine honey?" he asked me. I just walked to him and hugged him as tightly as possible. Tears rolled down as he started petting my head.

After a while when I calmed down, I told him about Mingyu and about the dream that I had. He knew Jungkook from a long time even before my parents knew Jungkook.

"Y/n, now listen to me carefully. I trust you and I believe you are going to make the best decision for yourself. I know it can be hard for you to trust somebody else after losing the ones you've always loved. But I know you love me and I'm still here with you. You can't blame yourself for Mingyu's death honey.

And as far as I know Jungkook, he really is a gem of a person. I've known him more than what you have. He is that one person who might look all rough and tough from the outside but he really is a baby from the inside. You really have to give him a chance Y/n." he said as he rubbed the back of my hand.

"I'm ready to give him a chance halboeji, but I'm just afraid of something bad happening to him because of me."

"Nothing is going to happen because of you Y/n. If you don't stop believing in something like that, then it might turn into reality. So, stop blaming yourself okay?" he said.

I simply nodded and soon my parents joined us and casually spent time talking about how we could expand the business and stuff.
