"Yes?" I asked as he stood in front of me with his one hand inside his pocket.

"Y/n, don't think I was appointed to keep an eye on you. I am the head of one of the major departments of the company, so it's important for us to discuss a lot of things as I want approval from you for all my moves." he finished with his boxy smile.

I smiled and nodded at him. Did he read my mind? But damn god! His smile made me skip a beat in my heart.

"You look more beautiful with that smile, so put that on every time." he said as he was leaving.

I stood there dumbfounded.

"Y/n, don't let your guard down. You need to focus on the plan to stay stern towards everybody so that they can hate you. Come on, you can do this." I thought to myself and left the meeting room.

As I was moving towards my room, "I wonder why Jungkook called me?" I thought to myself.

*Jungkook's POV*

As soon as the meeting finished, I rushed towards the Kim's.

"Annyeonghasseyo Mr. and Mrs. Kim." I bowed to them. "Annyeong Jungkook" Mr. Kim greeted me as Mrs. Kim just smiled and nodded at me.

"Is Y/n alright now?" I asked out of concern. The smile on both of their faces completely told me that she was fine but I still wanted to hear it from them.

"She's finally good Jungkook. She has even started working from today." Mr. Kim said which brought a wide grin on to my face.

"That's good to hear Mr. Kim" I said. They both nodded.

"We'll get going now, we need to go meet your parents." They said as they were leaving and I bowed to them.

I rushed to my office room and soon called her.

"Yeoboseyo Y/n..." I greeted as soon as she picked up the call.

"Mr. Jeon I'm at work so you may continue if it is work related." She said sternly.

I was shocked by the tone in which she replied. She didn't even greet me properly. She talked to me completely in a formal way. I was in complete shock and I didn't know what to say further. I was about to speak and she hung up.

I was completely heartbroken yet again by her attitude.

"Does she hate me so much that she doesn't even want to talk to me?" I asked myself and sat on my chair.

"Wait, what if she was with some employees and she didn't want them to know about me. May be she did that with good intentions. Let me not think negatively." I said to myself and continued with my work.

*End of Jungkook's POV* 

*Y/n's POV*

I was almost getting bored since I had no work left after the lunch break. I opened my phone and I had a text from Jungkook. I opened it checked on it.

Clumsy: Hey

I'm sorry; I didn't mean to disturb you. I met your parents after the meeting and they told you had joined to work again, so I just wanted to check on you. :(

Y/n: Hey

That's fine Jungkook. I'm sorry; I was having a small introductory meeting when you called me. I didn't mean to sound so rude to you. I just was making sure my employees won't think that we know each other since one day they will surely meet you.

It didn't take him long to reply at all, I guess he was also on his phone.

Clumsy: I'm relieved. I thought you were mad at me.

Y/n: why would I be?...silly

Clumsy: I don't know.

By the way, what did you mean by, your employees will surely meet me?

Does he have some sort of short term memory?

Y/n: Did you forget that both our companies will tie up in the upcoming months?

Clumsy: oh... I remember!!

There was a knock on my door, "come in" I said and a very happy looking Jimin came in.

"Y/n... we have a business party arranged tomorrow by the Jeon's."

"Okay, are sure" I asked him since Jungkook didn't tell me anything about the party.

"Yes. Do you have different plans tomorrow?" he asked me.

"No. I'm good. You can leave now and thank you."

"You don't have to thank me for that, it's my job to tell you everything." He said while he smiled like an angel. I just nodded as he left.

Y/n: Your Company arranged a business party tomorrow?

Clumsy: I got to know about it now too. My parents have arranged it. It seems that both our parents have some announcement to make.

Y/n: Both our parents?

Clumsy: Yeah, I told you right that your parents were here for a meeting.

Y/n: Yeah... I just don't have a very good feeling about this.

I know parents very well. There was already a huge gathering done when I was announced as the CEO. If they are again arranging a party then it means that something really isn't fine. I have a strong feeling about this going to the path of my marriage.

Clumsy: Are you thinking what I am thinking right now?

Y/n: How am I supposed to know what you are thinking right now?

Clumsy: Aish... You are no fun. I was thinking if they are gonna announce our company's tie up.

In today's meeting your parents were implying a lot like that.

Oh... thank god.

Y/n: I have just started now; I don't want the tie up so soon.

I didn't want to tell him about what I was thinking, so I just played along with what he said.

Clumsy: Hm... I gotta go. Bye. :)

Y/n:Bye :)

I called Jimin back in and asked him if there was any other work. He said 'no' so I decided to go shopping. I informed him that I would be leaving and made my way towards the elevator.

"Y/n wait" Taehyung shouted as the elevator door was about to close. I held it open so that he could get in.

"Thank you" he said showing his boxy smile yet again.

"That's fine. What floor?" I asked him.

"I am going with you Y/n. I'm your personal secretary, remember?" he said as he raised his brows.

"Oh, yeah right!" I said faking a smile.

"By the way I'm going out to the mall for shopping, don't you have work?" I asked him.

"That will be handled by Jimin. You don't have to worry, I'm not gonna let go of your side." He said which left me in extreme confusion.

What does he mean? Is he gonna follow me everywhere I go? Like a bodyguard?

I didn't want any further conversation as the elevator opened. People in the hallway bowed at me. I could already see some girl's eyes widening as Taehyung walked beside me.

"Can you possibly maintain distance between us? People think of us differently." I said.

"Y/n, you are the CEO of the company. Their views about these kind of things shouldn't bother you at all." He reminded me.

I just shrugged and walked out of the building.

My driver drove us to the mall and we successfully finished our shopping. Taehyung also about a tuxedo for himself.

When got back to my house, my parents weren't home yet. I didn't bother much and just got into my room and changed myself into something comfortable.

I did my gym and thankfully Jungkook wasn't there today. I also changed my schedule to mornings on weekdays to avoid meeting Jungkook.

The rest of the day went by normally. At dinner I asked my parents about the party but they didn't tell me the actual reason for them to have arranged a party, so I just shrugged it off.
