        "So what exactly is wrong with my baby then Doc? He's been sick for a while now." Alisha asked holding Nolan who slept in her arms.

At first when he got sick, she wasn't too worried since she knew kids get sick at times but the fact that its been longer than a week and he was still throwing up and running a fever, fear shot through her heart.

"Well we ran tests and there aren't really any signs of any abnormal behavior with his systems but I want to try something .. the medicine I have been prescribing him stop giving it to him. Sometimes kids or people in general may have allergic reactions to certain medicine .. so stop giving it to him and just see what happens, if nothing gives bring him back we'll keep him over night and run more test but I'm pretty sure its the medicine." Shaun and Alisha nodded.

"Okay, we'll try that .. so instead of giving him the medicine .. what do we do?"

"Make sure he's getting a lot of vitamin C, and just keep an eye on him. To stop the conjestion put vicks on his chest, back and neck and hopefully that works."

Standing to their feet, Shaun placed his hand on her lower back. "Thanks Doc, hopefully this works." Shaking both of their hands they left out of the doctors office hand and hand.

"This better work because I'm getting really worried about my baby." Alisha pouted.

"His big head ass is fine, just chill and do what the doctor says."

"How you gon' talk about his head when he got his head from you?"

"You really gon' play my shit like you ain't got a whole bolder on yo shoulders.. oh okay." Laughing they exited out of the clinic and due to cold temperature, Alisha held Nolan closer in her arms.

Finally reaching their car, she buckled him in his carsear making sure he was secured before closing the door and getting inside. "You hungry? We can pop up at Ahmad's see what they asses cooking since that's all they do."

She shrugged, "That's fine, I need to talk to Cali about something anyways."

"Talk about what?"

"Girl stuff, get some business." Gripping her thigh with his right hand, he made her look over at him. "Long as I'm hitting that, you are my business end of discussion."

She nodded, "Oh really? So techinally that makes you my business as well right since I'm serving it up just how you like it but I could've sworn one day you had to talk to Ahmad and Marcus about something but wouldn't tell me sooo.."

He laughed, "That's different though."

"You are so full of shit dude," She couldn't help but laugh herself. "But anyways so I got an offer.."

"From who?—Damn niggas need to learn how to fucking drive," Speeding passed a car, he held up the middle to the lady and gave no fucks that she was old.

"Pur yo damn finger down, she's old."

He shrugged, "And? If her old ass knows she can't drive why she out here in Houston traffic knowing we speed everywhere we go .. going sixty-five when everybody else damn near pushing ninety. She tryna meet her maker."

Hitting his arm, she shook her head letting a chuckle escape. "You make me sick but anyways Dolce and Cabana wanna collab on some pieces together .. like even when it sells in stores I'll be the face on the cover."

He nodded, "Secure the bag boo, secure the bag. Whatchu gon' do about that offer with Diddy .. since he wanted to collab Sean John with yo work."

"He wanted to start on that next year .. Dolce is ready to do this now, but I might have to leave my babies." She pouted.

Shaun sighed, "You can't keep turning down offers because of that Lisha, you gotta get yours too. You passed on Gucci, Louis Vuitton .. another offer from Peter himself. That Roselyn chick all because you don't want to leave us for a few months .. we'll be fine and when you return, we'll be right here."

She groaned, "I know but I hate leaving you guys."

Alisha loved fashion, always have and will but she still hates not being in both her man and son presences that long. She tried it and couldn't even last a week, so she could only imagine how hard it would be to last three months.

But Shaun just wanted her happy, he wanted her to fulfill all her dreams, he wanted the world to know who his baby was, and he didn't want to be in the way of that. Yeah he would miss her like crazy, but he knew what he was getting himself into once he comitted to her.

The rest of the ride was silent, Shaun wasn't tripping though he knew she was over there thinking and he was hoping she didn't turn this offer down, what made him happy was seeing her succeed and grow as a fashion designer, that's what he liked to see.

When they pulled up to Ahmad's house, they saw Marcus car was already there knowing for a fact they had to be cooking since his fat ass was here.

Getting out the car, Alisha went to go get Nolan but Shaun stopped her. "I got him, you can gon' head and head inside."

Kissing his lips, she held his face by his chin staring into his eyes. "I love you,"

"I love you," Smiling she let go of his face, then turned on her heels walking to the front door. Using her key, she unlocked the door then stepped inside to see all her god children running around playing.

"Hey my babies," She called out catching their attention instantly. Squatting down to their level they ran over hugging her and giving her kisses.

She couldn't help but smile at how grown they are now. Marquette was in kindergarten, Armoni was in headstart then you had Adrian who was right behind them. While Marquette and Armoni ran off to continue playing, Adrian stayed wanting to be held.

"Nolan?" She smiled knowing that was his way of asking where he was. She loved their little friendship they had formed, him, Tyler and Nolan all were close due to being close in age .. everybody was just waiting on Marcus and Kamry to pop out some kids now.

"He's here, just gotta wait on Uncle Shaun to come in." Nodding his head, he asked to be put down then stood by the door to wait on him to come in.

Smiling, she walked off following the smell of food to see it was Cali frying porkchops. "Baby mama up in here slaving." Almost dropping her egg batter out of fear, she turned around holding her chest.

"You and Ahmad gon' make me beat y'all asses, always scaring me."

"Girl boo, where is Marcus and him at anyways?"

"Man cave, like always.. Kamry upstairs sleep, she isn't feeling too well. Where's Shaun?" As if she spoke him into existence he entered the kitchen holding both Adrian and Nolan.

"Hey Shaun," She gave him a hug then pinched Nolan cheeks. "Hi baby, Teedy baby still sick?" She asked with a pout.

"Yeah, we just left the doctor he wants us to stop giving him the medicine he might have an allergic reaction to it."

"Hopefully that works, are you guys hungry? I can cook a little extra porkchops for y'all."

They both smiled, "That was the only reason why we came over, you always coming through with the food. Where my niggas at though?"

"Just like black people always using folks, but the guys are downstairs in the man cave."

Nodding his head, he put his son and nephew down then walked over to Alisha kissing her on the lips before leaving out. Once he was out of sight, the girls turned to each other. "So have you told him yet?"

Letting out a sigh, she shook her head no. "I haven't taken a test yet ..I honestly don't think I am. I've always had irregular cycles."

Cali smiled, "Is this going to become a routine .. where you be in denial before every pregnancy, you did the same with Nolan. I feel you just need to take the test, I'm sure Shaun wouldn't mind having another kid.. you told me he was talking marriage."

"I know he wouldn't mind, but I was just offered to collab with Dolce and Cabana and Shaun really wants me to take the deal, hell I really want to take the deal but for one I can't stand to be away from my babies and two if I'm pregnant we both know Shaun isn't going for that .. its like I really want to get back into my fashion, like yeah I have the store and I still make clothes for that but the collaborations really shine light on my talent .. I miss it." She mumbled.

"Ask them if its anyway you can work from home, I mean you have everything you need here and if they really want to collab they'll just have to travel here a few times. Explain your situation, and see where it goes from there." Cali suggested.

"I'll see if that works, but anyways how was the honeymoon?"

Instantly blushing at all the memories that flooded through her mind of the events the occurred, she turned the burner down on the stove then took a seat beside her at the bar. "It was amazing, Cancun is a beautiful place..I think we should all go one day for a vacation or something. But we went shopping, even tried surfing which was an epic fail we kept falling off the boards but it was fun .. and the sex girl don't even get started, we had sex all over Cancun." She laughed.

"Just nasty, but I'm glad you enjoyed yourself."

"Yeah, I brought you and the girls something as well its upstairs but literally everything was perfect until my mama hit me up."

"What did she want?"

"She was apologizing but its like how can you forgive someone who missed so much .. like you missed Armoni's birth, Adrian births, and then my wedding .. like no, an apology isn't going to fix anything."

Touching her hand, Alisha sighed. "Don't let her ruin your happiness. Look at the life you have now, you're married to a good man with beautiful kids and successful living in a beautiful home you both worked hard for."

"I know and I am happy but its something else that has been bothering me."

"What?"

"My dad .. he reached out to me a few months ago and we've been talking like almost everyday and he's been telling me literally everything I always questioned as a kid. The reason he wasn't in our life was because of my mom, she kept him from us making up lies and threatening him. He said he's been trying to get in touch with us for years, and he finally came across me on facebook. He told me he used to look up Aubrey Calieen Brown but of course nothing came up since I don't go by that name but I'm sorta glad we've been catching up but I'm mad that my mother kept us from him for so long. Let him tell it, my mama had got on drugs before he left which is what caused him too leave, and when he got his shit together and tried to take us from her she wouldn't let him and the state did nothing because of his criminal background..He even wants to meet up and meet the kids .. but I haven't told Chris or Ahmad yet."

"You have to tell them, especially Chris. He needs to know the truth about it all and I'm sure he wouldn't sit down and listen to your pops out of anger and hurt so you both need to sit down and have a talk about it and let it go from there."

"He's coming over today with Anari, I was going to talk to him about it then."

"Good, and I'm sure Ahmad isn't going to care .. he's all about love and forgiving."

"Yeah I know, but we'll just have to wait and see how it goes."

        Sparking the blunt, Ahmad held it to his lips taking a drag from it then passed it to Marcus. "I just don't want to feel like I'm the one holding her back." Shaun mumbled taking the blunt from Marcus.

"Why you feel that way?" Marcus asked confused.

"She's been turning down offers because of me, I'll tell her to take the deal but then she'll be like nah, I can't leave you guys. I just feel like she missing out on life and great opportunities all because of me."

"I wouldn't put the blame fully on myself, clearly that's what she wants. Then you have to remember what happened last time she left for months, yeah it happened two years ago but women are protective over their men the same men are over their women and she probably scared, remember you said a little bit after she found out everything Alisha blamed herself because she sent you over there, I feel like she ain't over it yet." Ahmad spoke up.

Shaun leaned forward, not even thinking about that could be a reason why she never wants to leave his or Nolan side. "I'll ask her tonight, its time we have a heart to heart."

"Good, now what's going on with you and Kamry?" Ahmad asked looking directly at Marcus.

"We straight, we decided to move in together but we had like an argument earlier.. but we good."

"What was y'all arguing about?"

"Alright, so you know how I am about moving in with a female .. I always believed we should do that after we're married or at least engaged but I know Kamry really wanted that so I know relationships are all about compromising so I decided to push my belief to the side plus I could see myself marrying her crazy ass but today I brought up having a baby, I mean financially we stable with her being a Registered Nurse and me being a popular tattoo artist we bringing in decent money but she was just like nah, I don't believe in having kids before marriage and I'm just like if I can compromise and go against my belief .. why can't she do the same for me? And I asked her that and the argument just went from there."

Shaun didn't have an answer for that since he was lowkey on Marcus side so he let Ahmad take the floor. "I feel and understand exactly what you are saying but you have to remember .. moving in together and having a baby are two different things and two major steps in a relationship. Also you can't expect someone to just do something because you did it. Plus look at you guys situation now, all y'all do is break up and make up then go weeks without talking to each other out of stubborness and pettiness but lets flip the script and add a plot twist to it .. what if a child was involved during those times? No child should witness their parents going at it like that and I'm sure Kamry just wants to be totally positive that you guys won't break up and being married kinda secures that for her."

Marcus nodded, "You right, its just I ain't getting younger and who knows when we'll actually get married."

Shaun patted Marcus shoulder, "I feel God blesses those with babies to either help them grow or when he feels they are ready. Nolan was not planned or expected but it did help me and Alisha grow as people and as a couple so you never know .. a baby could come at any moment but you just have to make sure you are ready by time he or she gets here."

Marcus chuckled to himself, "How did this happen? Usually you niggas come to me for advice but here I am taking advice from y'all.. I honestly believe the world is ending." He joked.

"Hey thanks to all the advice you have gave, helped us over the years with life and our women. I guess this is our way of repaying you for always being there by us being here for you." Ahmad said with a shrug, taking a sip of the apple juice Cali brought him.

Marcus smiled, "Well I appreciate it forreal, I ain't even gon' lie and say that I didn't lose myself after Anaya. Kamry caught me at a bad time in my life but she stayed down and understood my situation. She ain't even deserve half the things I did to her but I think after this last break up we finally just realized that it doesn't get better than this cause already the best for each other. I'm done running from her."

"That's good man, but whatchu do about Tommie? Cali told me she was popping off at the mouth in the kitchen the day we went to the strip club."

Marcus laughed, "You don't remember Tommie from school nigga? Tomika Jackson?"

Ahmad frowned then his eyes went wide once he thought back, "She not gay no more?"

"Nah man, she is. I just used her to make Kamry ass jealous. We even all had a threesome not to long ago, we ain't fuck or anything but her and Kamry did and lets just say .. that was a sight to see." He smiled thinking back to that night.

"She was actually down for the threesome? I asked Alisha one time and her ass went off. Talm bout she not finna sit back and watch another female fuck me,"

Ahmad laughed, "Same with Cali then she was like if we were ever to do it .. she gotta pick the girl."

"Hell at least she considering, Alisha just want me all to herself but I can't blame her .. she addickted." He laughed.

The guys just shook their heads as they continued talking and smoking until Cali came down there to tell them the food was ready.

Of course being the fat asses they are, they tried to race to the stairs pulling each other by their shirts to stop one from being in the lead.

Finally reaching the top Ahmad walked out as Marcus and Shaun followed to see Chris and Anari was now here. Slapping hands with Chris, he hugged Anari then walked into the kitchen to get his plate from Cali.

Shaun took his plate from Alisha then walked over to the table grabbing his son. Alisha soom joined him with drinks and handed Nolan his sippy cup then dug in feeding Nolan a few pieces.

Ahmad walked into the living sitting in his recliner chair then turned on ESPN and the kids soon joined him eating on the floor since when they have food they aren't allowed to eat on the couches.

Marcus saw Kamry in the corner fixing their plates so he walked over wrapping his arms around her waist then kissed her neck, "You still love me?"

She tried not to blush but nodded. "You know I do,"

"So will you forgive me when I say I'm sorry for what happened earlier? It was childish and I want you to stop being mad at me."

"Yes, but only if you mean it."

"I mean it," Turning her head, she kissed his lips then handed him his plate.

Once everybody was eating and enjoying themselves, Cali decided to clean the kitchen first then eat. As she was washing dishes, Chris walked in to grab something to drink so Cali felt that was the perfect time for them to talk since they were alone.

"You got a minute to talk Chris?" She asked drying off her hands.

Leaning against the bar he nodded, "Yeah what's up?"

Taking a deep breath, she played with her fingers. "Daddy reached out to me, and we've been talking for a few months and he's told me so much about mama that you and I didn't even know. He wanted to be in our lives but it was mama who kept us from him. Mama has been fucking up our lives since day one Chris, and he wants to meet up, he really wants to see us and I feel you should hear him out."

Chris stood there silent for a moment before nodding, "If I can I give mama a second chance then I guess he deserves one too but he bet not fuck up like mama did, I'm giving him one chance and thats it."

Chris loved both his parents deeply, despite everything that has happened. His mama would forever have a place in his heart but he couldn't fuck with her, she was just baggage that no one needed in there life.

Now with his dad, Chris always wondered why he left. Because he remembered before he left, that their dad was loving and caring towards them, always made sure they were good and it always made him wonder why did he leave the way he did when it was obvious he did love them.

So he had a lot of questions to ask him..

Cali let out a sigh of relief walking over to hug him.
