Deleted Scene : Part One

Standing at his front door Cali looked around in bordem as she waited for him to answer. Soon she heard the locks turn and smiled once she was met face to face with him, embracing him into a hug he eventually stepped off to the side to let her in. "I was in the middle of cleaning, let me change out of this real quick I'll be back just make yourself at home."

Once he disappeared down the hall, Cali took a seat on his couch and placed her purse down by her feet as she relaxed and waited for his return.

To bypass some time she replied back to a text from Ahmad and even played a level or two of Toon Blast. After losing for the fifth time and running out of lives, she gave up just when he returned causing her to lock and put away her phone.

Sitting a bottle of wine on the coffee table before them along with two glasses, Cali smiled. "Sorry for the wait, you want some wine?"

She shrugged as she turned her body sideways to better face him, "Sure, one glass shouldn't hurt."

Once both their glasses where filled they did a toast before taking a sip. "Okay, now tell me what's this good news you just had to share with me." She urged.

Immediately smiling at the thought of the news, he sat his glass down. "I got a new job opportunity and Cal its the perfect job, has good benefits, pays over 80,000 a year plus comission. This is really the job I have been waiting for and you of all people know how long I have been needing a blessing like this to come my way." He expressed.

Getting hype, she reached over to hug him tightly. "I'm really happy for you, this sounds like a great opportunity so you better take it. This is your moment, don't let it pass you."

When she noticed that his excitement die down she frowned and reached her hand over to touch his knee. "What's wrong?"

"The job is in Nevada." He mumbled, but before Cali could say a word he began speaking. "I want to take the job, but I also don't want to be that far from you and Marquette. I made a mistake in the past by walking out of his life and I'm not making that mistake again."

"Reggie, I understand and I get all of that but things would be different this time. This is exactly all you have been waiting on ans it would hurt me to see you pass on such a life changing opportunity."

"It's a lot of things that you do that hurt me, but what can I do?" He shrugged.

Cutting her eyes in his direction, she scoffed. "And what is that suppose to mean? What have I done?"

Standing up, he waved her off. "If you don't see it then I can't force you to."

"See what Reggie?"

Rubbing his hand down his face, he sighed. "The change in you Cal, the Cali I once knew was happy and full of life but since that nigga came into your life shit for you has been different!"

Standing up and grabbing her purse, she started walking towards the door. "I am not about to sit here and listen to this."

"Why because its true?" He called out from behind her.

Snapping her neck back in his direction, she frowned. "No its not true, I just won't let you sit here and disrespect Ahmad. He loves me and he makes me happy so don't even go there Reggie."

"That may be true, but that still doesn't change the fact that the shit he has gon' through and dragged you in hasn't made you so unhappy. I see it Cal, I see the change in your smile, your laugh .. I see everything, but how come he can't?" He questioned working his way into her mind.

The last question struck a nerve in Cali to where she remained silent and just looked down at her feet. "It's more than just him Reggie, Ahmad is a great man and a great husband my unhappiness goes beyond just him. You just don't understand and you probably never will, but please don't think I've changed because of Ahmad."

Taking a seat, he motioned for her to come here. "Then tell me what it is then. We used to be able to come to each other about anything, what's going on?"

Laughing slightly, Cali shook her head. "Things aren't like how they used to be Reg, things have changed and I no longer have to confide in you I have a husband for that."

He nodded, "But yet you're here and he has no clue about the shit you're going through. Now look, I know over the years I have don' some unforgivable shit, but one thing that has never changed was my love for you and to get back to how we used to be before all the drama. We where like best friends Cal, don't you miss that?" He asked as she started back walking towards him.

"Of course I miss that Reg, I hate the change in our relationship as well but it was all your fault. When you got in a relationship I never once made you feel bad, I supported everything but you couldn't give me the same in return back when Ahmad and I first started dating."

Reggie sighed, "I know, I was being immature and childish and I fucked up a good thing .. but shit Cal all I am asking for right now is for us to simply forget all the shit that has happened in the past for one moment and just talk about everything like we used to. Can we do that?"

Cali searched his eyes to see if he was being dishonest, once she saw this is something he really wanted and felt she needed she sighed and took a seat beside him.

It didn't take long before Cali started talking and opening up about everything to Reggie who sat and listened to every word. Tears where shed, laughs where heard and it felt good.

Cali didn't even realize how much she was holding in until she started talking and couldn't stop, but she needed this. To finally be heard felt amazing, and she felt something for Reggie again but she also felt guilty because this moment was happening with another man other than her husband, who deserved none of this.

Checking the time on her phone, she knew she needed to get home. It was late and she was already disrespecting her marriage by doing all of this and to save herself from more trouble she decided it was best for her to leave.

When she started grabbing her purse and keys, Reggie frowned. "You leaving?"

She nodded, "Yes, its getting late and I need to get home to my kids and Ahmad."

Grabbing her hand when she went to walk by him, he stood up so they now where now almost face to face. Lifting his hand up he grabbed her chin as he stared deep into her eyes. "We just shared a beautiful moment and I'm not ready for that moment to end just yet Cal. I haven't seen you like this in a long time and I want to cherish this moment for as long as I can."

Closing her eyes, a single tear fell from her eye. "This is wrong Reggie."

Pulling her closer, he wrapped his arms tightly around her waist. "But it feels right."

Before she could utter a word she paused when Reggie started to lean forward for a kiss and even though she knew she needed to pull away and stop this she found herself leaning forward as well. They both were breathing hard as ever and once their lips touched she had no intentions of stopping anytime soon despite how wrong this was.

Wrapping her arm around his neck, the two kissed as if their lives depended on it as they both fought for dominance. When he slid his hands down to her ass and gripped it a moan escaped her mouth and instantly made her pull away when she realized this was going way too far.

"We can't do this, we're both married and they both don't deserve this."

Reggie ignored her rants as he removed his shirt and started unbuckling his pants.

Walking towards her he grabbed her by the chin then leaned forward just an inch away from her lips and smirked. "Tell me to stop right now and I will, I'll only do whatever you truly want me to do. So tell me right now you don't want me to fuck you right here and right now Cal." He stated waiting for her response.

Cali stood there knowing she needed to leave and walk away, but she didn't want to. Instead, she reached her hands to his pants and began stroking him slowly through the boxers he wore, before moaning out. "I don't want you to stop."

That was all Reggie needed to hear before he lifted her up and carried her over to the couch ripping off whatever clothing she had on ready to make love to her body one last time.

As he hovered over now completely naked body, he stared down at her with his eyes full of lust. "Tonight you belong to me and nobody else." And that one sentence started a whirlwind of emotions to flood Cali's mind, but she agreed and laid back as she spreaded her legs and let him have his way with her mind, body and soul for just one night.

Hours later Cali jumped out of her sleep and looked around to see Reggie knocked out on the floor behind her naked with the sheet barely covering both the lower half of their bodies. Looking at the wrappers of condoms on the floor, Cali covered her mouth not believing what she just did and when she felt he was still inside of her she moved causing his dick to slip out and a light groan leave his mouth.

Getting up causing the sheet to fall off her, she immediately left out of his bedroom and darted towards the living room to find her clothes and purse.

Quickly getting dressed, she checked her phone to see multiple calls and texts from Ahmad making her feel even more guilty and stupid for what she had done.

After slipping on her shoes she left out quickly not once looking back, getting inside her car she cranked it up and backed out quickly so she could get home.

Tears fell from her eyes the entire ride home as guilt ate away at her mind and heart like a mad man. She couldn't believe she just cheated on her husband, who trusted and loved her deeply.

When she finally got home she sat in her car for over thirty minutes, before she got out and dragged herself up the porch steps.

Stepping inside the house was dark except the kitchen, but everything was clean and the house smelled so good and when she walked to the fridge to see all the left overs from the dinner Ahmad cooked, she felt bad.

Walking into their room her first thought was to shower to get rid of the smell of sex on her, but she knew she couldn't do that without alerting Ahmad and making herself look suspicious. So to save herself she quietly grabbed some clothes and left out to shower down stairs in the guest bathroom.

The entire time Cali sobbed into her hands as the water poured down onto her skin. She scrubbed her whole body wanting to get rid of any trace of Reggie off of her, but she knew that wouldn't work.

When she was finally done she dried off and quickly threw on an oversize t-shirt and panties before leaving out just to see Ahmad standing their against the wall with his arms folded.

Jumping at the sight of him, she covered her chest. "Baby, you scared me."

Ahmad said nothing, he just shook his head and walked off causing her to follow him. When he walked towards the back door Cali sighed not wanting to have this talk just yet, but she knew it was coming.

"Where have you been Cal?" He questioned as soon as they both where outside. "I called and texted you for hours wondering if you was okay or hurt, I couldn't even sleep until I knew for sure if you was okay or not so I sat up and I waited. I watched hour after hour pass on by so now at that point I assumed something was really wrong and I felt it in my heart that something was indeed wrong, but I didn't know what."

Cali wanted to confess to everything, but she couldn't. "Ahmad, I can explain."

He took a seat on the beach chair, "Then explain Cal, because you know we don't get down like that. I trust you and if you where simply just busy that's all you had to say and just could have let me know when you was going to be home."

She nodded, "I know and I'm sorry I kept you waiting and didn't call. I was at work finishing up inventory with Glenda and we just lost track of time as we talked about life and all types of stuff." She quickly explained.

Ahmad stood there in disbelief that she lied, but instead of busting her bubble of dishonesty. He decided to let it go only because he felt she had to be lying for a good reason or maybe even for a surprise since his birthday was coming up and he only felt this way because he knew she wouldn't be crazy enough to actually be out here wildin' and cheating on him with someone.

The thought of that almost made him laugh.

Walking towards her, he grabbed her hands and kissed the back of them. "Okay, just don't let that happen again or become a habit of yours. I love you and I trust you okay?"

When he hugged her and kissed her on the forehead before walking around her and going back into the house. She knew at that moment she did not deserve him whatsoever, but she did not want to lose him either.

Deleted Scenes : Part Two

Biting his lip in frustration, Ahmad blinked one time which caused a single tear to fall and soon more began to fall. "—Just answer one question for me Aubrey."

"What? I'll answer anything."

"Is this even my child or is it Reggie's?"  He questioned causing her to go mute, she wasn't expecting him to ask that even though she knew for sure this child didn't belong to Reggie.

"Of course not Ahmad, the times of me sleeping with him and getting pregnant don't even line up." She explained and he nodded.

"And when exactly did you sleep with him? I'm just tryna figure out when you had the time to do this when we're always together. That's the point I'm not understanding." He ranted.

Letting out a sigh, Cali looked down. "It happened the day I told you I was at the shop doing inventory with Glenda and that day I had confessed to Reggie kissing only half of truth we had sex that night as well."

"So you lied to me?" Nodding his head to himself, he laughed as he looked up at the sky in disbelief.

"Ahmad, I didn't know what else to do. I wanted to confess to everything but when I saw how worked up you got over the kiss I couldn't fix my mouth and say we also had sex. I didn't want to hurr you like that." She pleaded.

Waving her off, he couldn't even look at her. "Didn't know what else to do? How about just being honest? That idea never popped up in your head once!? And you know its crazy because in my heart I felt like something was up because when you told me it felt like you was holding back something and that's why I kept asking where you tryna protect that nigga and clearly you was! You really sat in my face and lied easily and tried to make me feel bad for going over there and beating his ass when he deserved more!"

When he started raising his voice, Cali looked around as people walking by would glance over occasionally being nosey. "Ahmad, please let's not do this here." She begged.

"Fuck that! You fucked that nigga only two almost three months after our honeymoon and you expect me to be calm about this!? And you kept that secret for months from me when I never did anything to dserve that."

Cali said nothing because she knew he had every right to act like this, she was beyond wrong for what she did and when she watched as he just shook his head and walked away leaving her alone, she broke down into tears.

She was more than sure after finding out all of that, her chances of getting him back was slim to none. She just couldn't believe she could be so stupid.
