Madhav darts out of the room and looks both sides. He notices the same weird looking male nurse walk towards the end of the corridor to the left.

Madhav freezes as the nurse turns back.

"Shiv!" He mutters. He starts running towards Shiv. "WHERE ARE YOU GOING WITH MY BABY?

Shiv takes a turn and dives into the open and empty elevator. Madhav tries to dive in but the doors close before he was millimetres away.
He notices the elevator go upstairs.

"Inspector Manohar, Shiv is in the hosptial. He is going upstairs with my baby! I need your men to catch him soon!" Madhav says as he races up the fire-exit staircase.

Everytime he comes to a floor he notices the elevator had gone one more level up. He groans and continues to run upstairs until he came to the terrace.

"Ramakrishna!" Shiv greets happily as Madhav runs into the terrace. "I am so happy to know you survived that flight crash! I thought you died an easy death without suffering much. But thankfully I have the opportunity to torture and make you suffer. Your suffering will start with seeing this little baby off yours die."

"Why are you doing this!" Madhav asks.

"I want my revenge!" Shiv exclaims. "You ruined my life! You threw me in prison! My family disowned me! My fiancee broke up with me! Everything. Because of you!"

"Need I remind you what you did to end up that way?" Madhav retorts.

"But I didn't deserve such a harsh punishment!" Shiv yells making the baby cry.

"You laid hands on my wife with the wrong intention!" Madhav exclaims.

"You weren't even married to her yet!"

"But that won't stop me from caring about her!" Madhav yells back as he inches closer.

Shiv takes a few steps back. "S-s-stay away from me, Ramakrishna!" He yells nervously.

"I. Won't!" Madhav mutters angrily and takes another step. "What are you going to do?"

The police rush into the terrace with Shyaam. Shiv panics. He rushes to the edge of the terrace and holds the baby near the edge.

"Stay away from me, or- or- I'LL DROP THIS LITTLE VERMIN!" Shiv yells amidst the baby's cry.

Madhav froze in horror as he saw his newborn being mercilessly held up in the air, being threatened to be thrown down from several floors high. Fear spiked as he suppressed a shiver that ran down his spine.

"Shiv, don't stoop this low!" Shyaam exclaims. "Ask anything you want and we'll give it to you!"

"Can you clear my name? Restore my reputation? Bring back my honour and everything that I lost?" Shiv yells. "CAN YOU?"

"Shiv! I'll make sure you slate gets wiped clean. I'll make sure you are cleared of all charges. You'll have a fresh start and a new life!" Madhav says. "Just give us the baby and-"

"I will never trust your words, especially when you have so many cops with their guns pointed towards me!" Shiv says. "I know they are holding from firing because I have your baby. The moment I give you the baby, they'll shoot me like an animal to be hunted!"

"Shiv, trust me!" Madhav pleads and inches closer.

"NO! GO BACK!" Shiv screams louder than the crying baby. "OR I SWEAR TO DROP THIS BABY!"

"Man, these cops will shoot you down, the very second you drop this baby intentionally or accidentally." Shyaam says. "So why don't give us the baby, so we can sit down to discuss about your settlement!"

Shiv looks at the police standing behind him.

"No fucking way, Ramakrishna!" Shiv  murmurs inching towards the edge of the terrace. "I don't trust you! I am not your stupid wife to believe all those lies!"

"Shiv, don't you dare take one more step!" Shyaam warns as he inches closer.

"Shyaam! What are you doing?" Madhav asks.

"I know what I'm doing!" Shyaam exclaims calmly, before jumping onto  Shiv, holding the baby firmly.

"Shyaam! What the hell!" Madhav yells agitated. Shyaam kicks Shiv on the stomach as he snatches the baby from Shiv.

"This is for what you did to Madhu. And my bhabhi!" Shyaam exclaims kicking Shiv until he was on the brink of the terrace's edge. "Cops! You'll can take him!"

"No! Stay back!" Shiv exclaims panicking as the police inch towards him. Shiv takes one step behind only to realise he was on the edge of the railing-less terrace. It didn't take him much long before he lost his balance. He let out a loud blood curling scream as he fell from the terrace.

"Well, we might not have to worry about him from now onwards!" Shyaam says as Shiv falls onto the hospital's paved entrance.

Madhav nods as he softly rubs the baby's back.

"Officer, what's the update?" Inspector Manohar asks the cops who were on the entrance through the walkie-talkie.

"Severe bleeding from the head, pulse is falling." The cop repeats through the walkie-talkie.

"That can't be good, right?" Shyaam asks.

"He's dead." The cop says through the walkie-talkie.

7 Days Later....
RK Mansion,
Mumbai.

It was seven days since the twins were born and three days since the family returned back to the RK Mansion.

The house was bedecked with yards of flowers and lamps to celebrate the birth of the twins.

Madhav wraps his arms around Shree's waist. Shree was wearing a little blue sari with a silver border. Her hair was yet to be combed and her makeup yet to be done.

"Shree Ramakrishna, the mother of three children." He murmurs into her ear.

"Hard to believe, right?" She says as she tightens the golden earring on her ears.

"So hard to believe!" Madhav smiles kissing her cheek.

"You haven't changed, Madhav!" Shree smiles.

"Seriously? Don't you like how I am right now?" Madhav asks.

"I meant your clothes, silly!" Shree giggles. "You need to get into the veshti soon! Didn't Yasho Ma say the function will start soon?"

"I have plenty of time, chellam. I only need 3 minutes to get ready!" He whispers as he runs a comb through her hair. Shree watches on as he neatly braids her hair. "I have enough, enough time to deck my beautiful loving wife. Get those stringed jasmines, na?"

Shree blushes as he pins the jasmines to the top of her braid.

"Done!" He smiles happily.

"Now, you should go and get dressed, Madhav!" Shree says.

"I need to speak to you!" Madhav says solemnly to her. "And this is important!"

He holds her hand and drags her towards the bed. They both sit on it. Shree notices an envelope on the bedside table. Madhav takes the lit and hands her the envelope. "Shree, this is a letter for you. Read it, out loud."

"A letter for me?" She asks and notices the company logo on the  envelope. She opens the envelop and unfolds the paper within.

"Dear Mrs. S. S. Prasad - Ramakrishna!

I, Mr. M. G. Ramakrishna and the entire Ramakrishna Group of Companies, take this opportunity to acknowledge all your hard work and commitment as the acting CEO of the Ramakrishna Group of Companies, in my absence. We are thankful for your service, and commitment. I would also like to let you know that I am tendering my resignation as CEO of Ramakrishna Group of Companies, with 03 calender months notice."

"Are you really resigning, Madhav?" Shree ask shocked and Madhav nods his head. "Why? You worked so hard and dreamt so much about this CEO position, why would you give it up! Appa appointed you as the CEO, now who will take up the role?"

"Read on." Madhav tells.

"We are pleased to offer you, Mrs. S. S. Prasad - Ramakrishna the position of the Chief Executive Officer of Ramakrishna Group of Companies."

"You are asking me to permanently take your place as the CEO?" Shree asks. "But why?"

"Shree, Anu and I are planning on starting an NGO for the underprivileged children." Madhav says holding her hands. "I want to focus on this full time, and that's why I'm resigning. You're the perfect person for the job. You've worked with us my secretary, and for a while as acting CEO, and you know everything about the company - so why not? I have all the hope that you will do well. I see great potential in you!"

"But Madhav, I only agreed because it was temporary!" Shree exclaims. "I had faith you'd return at some point!"

"Chellam, I'm there. I'll train you properly, before my last day at work. Appa is there too, and Shyaam will be joining the director board as our Legal Consultant. You won't be alone."

"But Madhav....."

"I believe in you, and I love you!" Madhav says holding her face. Shree smiles and nods.

"I accept the offer, Mr. M. G. Ramakrishna." Shree whispers. "I'll take over as the CEO, three months from now."

"I'm so happy, you know, Chellam? Now, do I have all the rights to kiss you, or do I need the approval of the soon-to-be CEO?"

"I believe you have all the rights, and the approval of your wife and soon-to-be CEO." Shree answers.

Madhav's free hand found the small of her back, and he pulled her to him, with a firmnessthat made her giddy. He chuckled against her lips, his arms tightening around her waist. He touched her chin and tilted her face towards his, stopping only to whisper her name before he locked her mouth in a kiss that was burning in its intensity.

Shree felt the heat rushing to her cheeks, the moment his lips touched hers.

Shree felt herself smile again as they kissed. She opened her mouth, welcoming his invasion, moaning with pleasure as his tongue swept in, exploring her mouth.

He took her face in his hands and kissed her, with all the feeling and emotion coursing through him. He kissed her mouth, then he kissed her cheek, then her neck. Her hands were working their way around his body, feeling each crevasse, each muscle and each line of his perfect physique.

They pulled back a few times, smiling lightheadedly before diving back in for more kissing.

"Mumma!" They heard Madhu sing happily from afar. Shree pushes Madhav off her and stands up, adjusting the folds of her sari.

"Madhu?" Shree calls as she opens the room door.

"Mumma!" Madhu comes running with Siddharth. She was wearing a yellow kancheevaram blouse and a red skirt. Siddharth was wearing a blue tee-shirt and a pair of black shorts. "Sid wants to see the babies!"

Shree caressed Sid's head. "Come in! The babies are asleep on their cot."

"Hope we weren't disturbing you!" Madhu says as she walks in pulling Sid with him.

"When didn't you?" Madhav says as he ruffles Madhu's hair.

"Why don't you go to the bathroom and change?" Shree says thrusting the veshti onto Madhav's chest and presses a quick kiss to his cheek. Shree then turns to Madhu. "Young lady, come here! Why didn't you ask Bhamma to braid your hair? Sit down, right now!"

"Can't I change later? We still have time, chellam!" Madhav says shrugging.

"Three minutes, Madhav!" Shree says smiling as she combs Madhu's hair.

"But, chellam I-"

"The time is 7:27 AM, and I want you ready by 7:30 AM." Shree says and notices Madhav run inside the bathroom.

"Mumma knows how to scare Nanna!" Madhu whispers to Sid, who tries to hide his giggles.

"What can I do, baby? Sometimes I feel like I have four kids - instead of three!" Shree says.

Dear Readers,

I know it's been a long long time since the last chapter. Thank you for the unconditional support and patience. Things have been rough for me since the last 3 to 4 weeks. I live in Sri Lanka, and the situation here, is so so bad.

For Sri Lankans, the crisis has turned their daily lives into an endless cycle of waiting in lines for basic goods, many of which are being rationed.

In recent weeks, shops have been forced to close because they can't run fridges, air conditioners or fans.

Even members of the middle class with savings are frustrated, fearing they could run out of essentials like medicine or gas. Food prices on the island nation rose by a record 30 percent in March alone. The cost of living in the tourism-reliant country has become unbearable for many.

And life is made more difficult by frequent power cuts that plunge the entire island into darkness, sometimes for more than 14 hours at a time. Life has become miserable eversince.

The prolonged blackouts mean many doctors are forced to treat patients by flashlight. Other equipment such as catheters, anaesthetics, and gloves are also running low.

Thousands of Sri Lankans have recently taken to the streets in massive PEACEFUL protests across the country demanding the president's resignation. There is a great deal of dissatisfaction with , whose members hold several top positions in government, including President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.

All this aside, I love how the entire country has united as one, irrespective of religion, caste, race and ethnicity, in attempts to overthrow the government as well as to punish the bloodsucking government and Rajapaksas.

Today evening, I and a few friends were in a protest in one of the famous beaches in Colombo city. We witnessed how peaceful and united everyone was. Clergy, differently abled people were also part of the protest. Towards sunset we saw, and we were part of helping the Muslims to break their Ramzan fast and for Ifthar.

This is scenes from today's protest at the famous Colombo beach area, ie Galle Face

Protests which started at 9 AM today (09 April 2022) are still going on and the crowds have increased.

See you soon with the next update!
