"Come on Kathy." Bianca rushes.

I closed my eyes at her hyperactivity. She was always so energetic as she is now. She had stopped by before she headed to Caspian's company and had suggested I come along, at first I had refused, the last time I went there I told him he wasn't the father of my child and implied that I was a whore but a little persuasion from Bianca and a little to no thinking from my side I gave in.

"I'm not going empty handed Bianca." I fastened the zip of the pink lunch bag — maybe not the right color for a man like Caspian whose whole wardrobe lacked color, but it's what I had — that contained the desert I had packed.

"Caspian doesn't take sweet."

"Maybe not but I think Yuvraj does." I took the bag and hung it around my shoulder before going after the hyperactive girl.

It was getting harder to keep up with her that I didn't even want to try. Bianca drove us in her bright colored convertible.

Whose car is colored pink?

When we entered the huge lobby of Caspian's building, Bianca couldn't help but wave and smile at everyone and I was sure she didn't know most of them while I offered polite smile to those who met my eyes.
The look of recognition crossed everyone's face as they looked at me and greeted me. The whole Lobby became silent, like everyone was looking at me. I was their boss's wife, I couldn't help but feel self conscious and so under dressed in my semi casual clothes.

Caspian must know that we were in his building already. I couldn't help but think if he'll be mad or not while I was overthinking and second guessing my decision Bianca was hopping away without any care in the world.

I couldn't help but hold in my breaths until we got to the private elevator. Bianca punched in a punch of pin on the key pad. She looks like she does come here a lot. As the elevator dinged open standing in front of the elevator was none other than Yuvraj, Caspian's PA. His think framed glasses standing at the bridge of his nose.

"Hey Yuvy." Bianca greeted cheerfully smiling from ear to ear.

"Good afternoon Bianca." He turned his attention to me. "Mam." He greeted politely.

"Again it's Kathrine." I corrected him again the same way I did when you first called me that.

"Sorry. Of course Kathrine." He said smiling, displaying his white teeth that could be used in a tooth paste commercial.

I remembered this hall from the first time I came here even when I couldn't pay attention as I was dragged into it or running away from it the first time.

Bianca had already pushed open the door to Caspian's office going in while I just stared at it like it led to the wonderland. Maybe I shouldn't have come.
I could feel Yuvraj's eyes on me, watching me intently.

Oh bloody hell, let's just get it over with.

I pushed open the door.

Caspian and a strange man I haven't seen were sitting in the sitting area that was several feet from Caspian's desk. Caspian was sitting in a black leather couch while adjacent him was a man who looked around his age. He was  very handsome and with tattoos peaking out of his dress suit; taven black haired styled to perfection and golden brown eyes.

I could feel Bianca go still beside me. My eyes moved to Bianca to see that the cheerful smile on her face was gone as she stared at the stranger. My eyes moved to Caspian's and not knowing what to do, I raised my hand in a small wave.

The person I came with was completely frozen as she stared the strange man. The look on her face was different, a look I haven't seen before. She looked... Angry?
And like a switch was turned on in her head, a smile crossed her face and the look that was formerly on her face was gone leaving no trace.

Well that was creepy.

"Hey cuz. I and Kathy just wanted to stop by see how you are doing." She said with a cheerful voice as walked towards Caspian settling into the two sitter black leather couch that sat opposite Caspian's, adjacent to the stranger. And she motioned for me to join her and I did, since she seemed very familiar with Caspian's office.

"You mean, you wanted to come and dragged Katherine with you." Caspian said, and he wasn't wrong.

"Tomato Tomáto, we are already here." She giggled.

"Are we disturbing you?" I asked as panic began to settle in me.

"You can never."

Although he said it with a straight face I couldn't help the butterflies that were erupting in my stomach.

How can someone say things like that in a serious face.

"Kathrine, I'm sure you've met Vincenzo D'Angelo, Caspian's best friend." Bianca said but the answer was no,I haven't but to her, I and her cousin knows everything about each other.

I thought Lincoln was his best friend. As if she read my mind, Bianca immediately answered.

"Caspian, Lincoln and Vincenzo have been friends as long as I can remember. They are an unlikely trio aren't they?"

I could only chuckle nervously not trying to answer it.

"It's nice to see you Kathrine." Vincenzo said not giving away any emotion.

I could hear an accent in his voice I guessed to be italian since his name gave it away. He greeted me like this wasn't the first time I was meeting him and I smiled back muttering a small getting back.

He and Bianca ignored each other and I couldn't help but feel a nervous air around Bianca.

Vincenzo muttered something to Caspian in a foreign language and Caspian responded likewise before he left.

"I didn't know that you'll be having company." Bianca looked at Caspian.

"That has never stopped you from coming."

Bianca wouldn't stop looking at the door that the handsome stranger just disappeared behind.

"Excuse me for a second." Bianca said before taking off.

I think there's something going on there. I almost cursed out as Bianca left me with alone with my husband.
Caspian's unsettling gaze was not only heightening my nerves.

I chewed on my lips trying to figure out what to say because I could feel that Caspian was not ready to break the ice and was enjoying watching me lose my nerves.

"I brought you dessert."I stretched out the lunch bag carefully placing it on the round glass table that sat at the center of the couches that were arranged next to it.

Caspian's brow was raised as he stared at the pink lunch bag.

"It was all I had and I couldn't come empty handed."

"Thanks."

I couldn't help but smile and looked back at the door.

"She won't be coming back for a while." Caspian answered the question they was floating at the back of my mind.

I wondered about their story is as I turned back to my husband.
