"I'm fine Caspian." I said for like the thousandth time since yesterday.

His eyes wandered to my now bandaged arm and I could see how the muscles around his jaw moved and his eyes darken.

"I think the bandage is an exaggeration. A band aid would have sufficed." No it wouldn't. Turns out her grip on me left a very large bruise. Her nails had dug into my skin leaving marks me wondering how longs her fixed nails were. But I was trying to make a joke and lighten the mood but Caspian wasn't laughing. The man hardly laughs. I miss his laugh.

Shut up Kathrine!

I couldn't stop wondering about what happened to the woman and her husband. I couldn't ask yesterday as Caspian was so angry I was even so scared to breath. He had taken me to the hospital and asked for a checkup and a scan for the babies and had fawned over me. And I would never admit that I secretly enjoyed it and the thought that he actually cares about me gave me butterflies.

"You'll stay at home to rest. I'll have someone take care of you."

"What!" Like cold water was poured on my body, my blush disappeared and I looked at my husband like he had suddenly grown another head.

"I'm going to work Caspian." I rebutted.

"No." He said with finality but I'll be damned if I accept that.

"I am going to work Caspian and you are not going to stop me." I made am attempt to move but was pulled back by an upset Caspian.

"You got hurt yesterday. I'm not saying you should quit for now."

"For now?!" My eyes widen in horror. He wants me to be a trophy wife? Hell no. "I'm not quitting my work Caspian."

"It's not quitting if you own it tiny."

For some reason that nickname just annoyed me more.

"I'm not tiny!" Ok now that's out of point. " I'm going to work. I'm needed especially now that we are opening a new branch. I can't leave everything for Lina."

"I'll send someone to help her." He offered, more like ordered.

I narrowed my eyes at him and although his face was stoic I could see the amusement in his grey eyes. Arguing with him felt useless.

"I-"

"Think about our babies." He interrupted me.

Damn.  he got me there. You win now. You bossy man. Just for now.

"But you get to go to work." I grumbled under my breath.

"Then I'll stay at home and accompany you." He said surprising me.

He would do that? But Caspian was a workaholic.

"No! Don't stay with me. Who one wants to see your face." I huffed and snickered immediately standing up from the dinning chair and headed   away from my insufferable husband. I was stopped in my tracks as I remembered something.

"Caspian." I called turning back to him. I was suddenly feeling self conscious as his eyes was still on me and I wanted to back out from the question but I had to know.

"What are you going to do to them?"

"Nothing you should worry about." He stood up from his seat and I almost backed away in fear but he pulled me into him and pressed a kiss on my forehead before leaving me alone in the huge dinning.

Why do I feel like there is a lot to be worried about?

******

He said a few days! I thought at least two to three days but it's been a week and my stubborn headed husband wouldn't let me work.

The cafe is fine and everything was under control and according to Carolina, Caspian sent her an assistant and so far all I've heard from her is praises from Carolina.

I'm gonna get replaced. I thought emotionally.

Hormones. I groaned as I could feel tears at the back of my eyes. One good thing about being pregnant is that you get to blame your childish emotions on hormones.

I'm not jealous. Not jealous at all. Caspian had indeed stayed at  home for a few days but he was working in his home office having his help fawn over me like I'm a doll but he had to go in yesterday and today.

He can't just go to work and keep me here. If this continues Caspian wouldn't let me work until the twins are born and maybe even after they're born.

Well I'm not going to stand for it. I closed the laptop that sat on my laps shut and stood up from the comfortable bed, dashing into the closet for something to wear.

I went for a long sleeve light blue blouse, there was a cut on the shoulder area exposing some skin and then I paired it with a black jeans and sneakers. I packed my hair up into a bun with few tendrils of hair framing my face. And left the make-up on my face minimal and went out of the room.

"Mrs Montgomery." A slightly muscled man in his late twenties called out to me.

I have told them so many times to call me Katherine but it seems that they just had to call me that. Caspian's bodyguards were as annoying as him.

"Where are you going?" He asked as he now stood in front of me.

"Daniel right?" I said with a big smile on my face. Of course his name his Daniel, I know that. "I'm going out." I said casually hoping it would work but as I could the lines appear on his forehead I knew immediately that it didn't work.

"I can't let you do that mam. Mr Montgomery said -" I immediately interrupted him.

"He won't say anything because I'm going to meet him."

"What?"

"You see Daniel." I started softly casting my eye down and my hand went to my barely growing stomach. "I miss Caspian terribly and -" I pretended a sniffle. "- s-staying here alone in this huge house is just making it worse." I lifted my eyes sure that they were already watery.

It seemed to worked as he looked stunned and a little panicky.

"I-i-i" He stammered.

"I'm just going to see him. I'm sure he won't mind my presence. You can come with me that way you'll ensure that I'm fine."

He seemed to be contemplating it. As his hands went inside his suit jacket I immediately knew what he was going to do.

"Don't inform Caspian. It's going to be a surprise." I said immediately which halted his small action. I could see the gears in his head moving.

"Ok, let's go." I said as I dashed out of the house not willing to give him any chance to think and call it off any longer.

****

As I went through the lobby and into the elevator, I tried not the cringe at the memory of what happened when I was here the last time. My hand immediately went to my stomach, although I didn't want to express it or let Caspian see it, I was terribly scared that something would happen to my baby.

I shook that feeling away and walked out into Caspian's floo when the  door of the elevator dinged open. I could feel the bodyguards following behind. Super annoying.

At least now it's just one and not the legion of them he had following me before.

Choosing not to knock the double door that led to Caspian's office, I pushed the door open to see Yuvraj standing in front of Caspian's desk pressing something on his iPad and Caspian sitting comfortable behind his desk, his head tilted to an angle and one of his finger at the temple of his head.
Anything he does finds a way to be imposing and intimidating. The man could look intimidating even while brushing his teeth.

As he noticed my presence he raised his brows at me, before anger settled in his eyes and went to the bodyguard who stood behind me.

"Good morning Yuvraj." I said cheerfully at the assistant. After all it's still eleven in the morning.

"Good morning Katherine."

"Yuvraj." Caspian called and Yuvraj nodded and he and the bodyguard were gone leaving me with Caspian.

What's with the telepathic connection Caspian has with his assistant. Yuvraj knew what Caspian wanted without him having to say it out loud.

"What are you doing here Katherine?" He asked.

"Can't a wife miss her husband?" I said innocently and his brows shot up giving the ' seriously? ' look.

"I'm not staying home alone while you get to work." I folder my arms.

"So what" he opened his palm like he was asking "if you don't work, I don't?" He asked.

"No one is telling you not to work Caspian. I'm just going to stay with you." I moved towards his large desk. "Every second in your office."

I've come to know something about Caspian. He liked his control. Control over this environment and the people around him. Meaning he doesn't want others invading his space without permission. I've been told by Carolina that I can be annoying.

"Really?"

"Don't worry Caspian. I won't interrupt your work. You can act like I'm not here." I said with a very innocent smile. So innocent it doesn't take a genius to know that it was the opposite.

The next thirty minutes went with me walking around his office. Sitting everywhere and touching everything. Something i put back in their places, some I didn't and some I just exchanged their positions.
I could feel Caspian's eyes following me throughout and when my eyes met his I smiled innocently.

I'm going to work if you like it or not Caspian.

I settled on one of the expensive leather couches in Caspian's office. The books he had on the shelves were... Something that I wasn't interested in at all.

I should have at least brought a book.

A knock interrupted Katherine from her daze. Yuvraj entered and Katherine gave a small smile acknowledging his presence and he smiled back.

"Sir, everyone is already settled for the meeting." Yuvraj informed and Caspian only nodded slightly as Yuvraj that as a sign of approval and left.

Caspian turned to me and I could only shrug  my shoulder. It was then I realized that he was worried about me. I felt my face heat up before putting a small smile on my face.

"You can go for you meeting. I'll be fine." I assured him but he was still staring at me unblinking.

Did I get it wrong? Was he not worried about me?

He stood up from his chair and walked away from his desks and towards me.

"Don't leave this room. If you need anything text me." He ordered.

Bossy.

"I know." Caspian said confusing me before it sank in that I said that out loud and not in my head.

Letting out a nervous chuckle I placed a smile on my face in an attempt to remedy the damage done by my big mouth.

"I-I mean, yes."

"Good." And with that he walked out of his office.

I looked around his huge office trying to find something for myself to do. Then it suddenly clicked.

This is his domain, his world. I looked around the room wondering how he usually is in his world. Then a childish idea settled in my mind.
