Katherine's POV.

I've always wondered how it would feel after I was married. If I would feel more mature, more inclined well now I know the answer... Sick. I felt sick.
I've spent every morning crouched in the toilet and pucking my guts outs. It was a great way to spend my honey moon. Notice the sacarsm.

I honestly hadn't expected any Honey moon destination but Caspian had taken me along with him to Greece, three days ago. No doubt because of a business deal but all the same, I get to wake up in Greece and spill my guts out. I can't help but wish he had left me at home. I mean I haven't seen the man except for one dinner, the morning we landed in greece.

"Mrs Montgomery" A  concerned voice made me straighted my stance from my crouched position.

I turned around to look at Donna. A tiny woman in her mid fifties with her shoulder length hair packed up and the tip of it braided with the end falling above the nape of her neck.

" Good morning Donna." I said in a fake cheerful voice, because right now I'm anything but cheerful.

" I brought my home remedy."

I looked down at her hands to see that she was holding a small white ceramic bowl which I'm sure was filled with what I've been using to relive my morning sickness this past few days.
Two days ago, Donna couldn't bare to see me suffer as she warmly told me, the nice woman had made me her home remedy. Her green eyes was calm and welcoming and her face warm and she has this air of calmness around her, she felt homely.
She reminded me a great deal of my late grandmother.

"Ughhh... Thanks, Donna." I leaned my head against the marbled wall and let out a tired sigh as I replied weakly.

Donna disappeared into the bedroom before coming back and entering the luxurious bathroom which my puke has tired to made less luxurious with little success. The bathroom could be half full of trash and still exude luxury.

Donna took my arm and tried to help me up before putting my arm around her shoulders as she supported me into the bedroom and helped me to the bed.

"Thanks Donna."

She didn't reply instead walked up to the tonic she gently placed down previously and took it up and headed back to me.

"You should have this." She placed the small bowl in my hand.

The tonic did not have a foul or disgusting taste. At a first sip, it tasted like water with only the gentle aroma of the tonic evident but upon swallow it leaves a tang sour taste behind and for the past two days this method had seem very effective to curing my morning sickness.

Donna took the bowl from me after I drowned the rest of the medicinal contents.

"I feel much better Donna. Thank you."

"Of course. You should take a rest before you have your breakfast. I'll have it sent to you."

I nodded my head in agreement as I slowly settled fully into the huge and comfortable king size bed and settled my heavy head on the cloud soft pillow.

****************************

Caspian had been so kind to let me tour the city even not without being supervised. The man works like a horse. I guess that's what happens when you manage a multi billon dollar empire.
And I manage a cafe chain...sort of. So I knew it could be stressful but I still can't help but feel like my husband is avoiding me.

"Hello!" The cheerful voice brought me out of my daze as I immediately sat up from my relaxed sitting position in the sitting room.

I looked up to see a blonde haired man, around Caspian's age. Tall with broad shoulders and a striking blue eyes. He looked like the model posing in Calvin shorts.
His blue eyes sparkled as a big smile graced his lips, his smile was contagious as I could feel myself almost smiling at him.

"And you must be Caspian's beautiful wife." He came closer to me.

"Oh goodness, are you a beauty." He said as he took my hand in his placing a small kiss above my knuckles.

I could feel my face it up as I blushed at the sound of a compliment given by a very handsome young man.

"You look way better than you do in your pictures." His smile still shining and slowly melting away my heart.

I don't know who he is but I like him already. His cheerfulness was cute and I felt like putting him in my pocket for keeping.

"You are ?" I asked.

His eyes widen like he just remembered something and sighed and looked like he was reprimanding himself, before his flashed a charming smile again.

"Forgive my thoughtlessness. I'm –"

"What are you doing here?" A cold, hard voice suddenly interrupted him.

"It's good to see you to Casp." The blonde haired greeted my husband who do not look pleased at all in any way and just glared harder at him.

"Lincoln." Caspian's voice rang and held a warning accompanied by am underlying threat.

The blonde haired guy who I now identify as lincoln raised his hands up in mock surrender.

"Fine Dude." He slowly backed up taking a few steps way from me.

"What are you doing here?" Caspian asked again.

"I was in town and since I know you guys are in Greece for your honeymoon I decided to come and say my hello and meet your new wife."

"You have, now leave." Caspian ordered.

"Hey Lincoln, I'm Katherine but it seems you know that already." I stretched out my hand to him ignoring Caspian's order.

Lincoln raised his brows, his expression holds one of amusement before he shook my hand.

"I'm Lincoln Black. His best friend." He looked over to Caspian with an almost bored look on his face.

A disapproving grunt came from Caspian but Lincoln just ignored it.

I don't know a lot about Caspian but he is not the type to have best friends or any friend and even if he had, I certainly wouldn't expect them to me as charming and friendly as the handsome man in front of me.

"Don't you have other things to do?" Caspian asked but his expression says he already knows the answer.

"I do but not one more important than introducing myself to your wife."

Caspian looked at his friend with a bored indifferent expression on his face. Their relationship from one look looks really one sided.

" It's nice to finally meet a wonderful woman that decides to settle with this man." Lincoln motioned with his head towards Caspian with a mocking expression on his face that earned a chuckle from me.

It's is official, I love this guy.

"I'm sure Casppy here hasn't been keeping you company so if you are ever in need of a company, you have one." He pointed to himself.

"Really?"

"Of course. My best friend's wife, is also my best friend. Right Casppy?" Lincoln turned to Caspian's whose face seemed like it would exploded any second.

"Call me that one more time." Caspian threatened as his voice reduced to a growl, his look hardened and his jaws clenched.

Lincoln eyes widen in fear with an hint of amusement.

"Fine." He rolled his eyes at Caspian.

Lincoln had the great talent to get under my husband's skin and get a reaction out of him. Caspian looked like he didn't like Lincoln but I can feel a air of familiarity and comfort around them.
Something you feel between old couples. He must be a good friend of Caspian.

I don't know of it's comforting that Caspian treats everyone coldly including his best friend. Well I've seen his interaction with his family. What the hell was I expecting.

Caspian turned around and walked out of the room.

"It's really nice to meet you Katherine. I have to talk to Caspian."

"It's nice to meet you too Lincoln."

I watched as his walked out of the room and followed my husband.

I don't know why I feel like I'll be close with him.

***********

CASPIAN'S POV.

"she's really pretty. Poor girl."

I glared at the man I've tolerated for so many years, without reason. I still don't know why I tolerate him when every time I see him he does things that want the make me throw him down a fire pit.

" She doesn't seem like your type of girl."

"What do you mean?" I knew I was going to regret asking but I did anyway.

The man has a way to get me to open up, I guess it's one of the reasons he was the closet person on my life.

" She has this air of innocence around her. She looks simple but really pretty.  She's someone that is obviously attractive but is oblivious to the attention she draws." He looked like he was in a deep thought as he tried to profile my wife.

"Qualities completely opposite to those of the women you've been with her including your despicable ex wife." His face conformed as he talked about my ex wife.

It's no secret that Lincoln and Verona hated each other but I couldn't care less about their enemity.
But Lincoln was right. Katherine was not a woman I would engage myself with but since that night a few months ago, I couldn't get her out of my mind. She felt like a breathe of fresh air. It felt like for the first time in my life I have seen something or someone real and everyone else all along have been fakes.

May be one of the reasons I am avoiding her. I did a lot of things including threatening her just so she could marry me but now it's like I could feel a strong pull towards her. A feeling I do not lie at all.

There were definately lot of ways I could be involved in my kids life without having to marry her. I could even take them away from her, it cost me nothing but....

"She's different, isn't she?"

I raised my brows at Lincoln's question.

"Apart from the fact that she's expecting your kids. She's different." Lincoln leaned back on his chair and crossed his legs, an action I know him to do whenever he wanted to look wise or make a point. None of which have worked on me since I knew him.

"One would think supervising a project worth more than half a billion dollars would be enough to keep you busy."

A stupid smile immediately crossed his face. A smile I knew came before a silly answer.

"I assure you that I have it handled perfect, even more so. You don't have to be so worried about me Casp." He leaned forwards uncrossing his legs.

"I'm not."

I almost let out am angry growl at the nickname but I knew it was useless. It has been going on for more than twenty-five years why would it change now.

"When are you leaving Greece?"

"None of your business." I glared at him.

The man loves asking  questions when he knew I hate them. The man loved getting involved with my life.

"Fine don't tell me. I'll find out myself anyways." He said with a stupid smirk on his face.
