An airplane flies against the wind from A to B in 8 hours. The same airplane returns from B to A in the same direction as the wind in 7 hours. Find the ratio of the speed of the airplane (in still air) to the speed of the wind.

I'm sorry come again?

Nope this shit is still foreign to me.

I slammed my pencil down giving a loud groan causing the class to look back at me. Yes okay! I quit! I fully understand that this problem is un-understandable!

"Ms.Pines what seems to be the problem?" My teacher asked, but in reality I knew she couldn't care less about what the problem was.

"Oh there isn't a problem, other than the fact that this worksheet is full BS. How am I supposed to know this? I'm not a pilot, nor am I a high school student-"

" You're a high school student who is supposed to know this." She dryly replied.

"How am I supposed to know something you've never taught me?" I snapped back growing more frustrated than before.

"Ms.Pines, you're the only one having trouble with this. Everyone else seems to be doing just fine. You're the only one who is complaining. Even Mr.Ralston seems to be having no problem doing his work."

I rolled my eyes as the class looked over at Jasper who seemed to have no problem with his work. His head didn't even rise as she mentioned his name, but then again what would you expect. Jasper Ralston is deaf. He has hearing aids, he just doesn't wear them. He's focused on his work, green colored eyes stuck to his paper. He must have sensed me staring because his deep forest green eyes had met mine. Goodness his eyes are breath taking. It was as if he was questioning me through his eyes, asking me why was I looking at him? Growing uncomfortable under his gaze, I quickly looked away.

" Argh! This isn't fair. Why did anyone even put me into this stupid AP class? Just because everyone else understands doesn't mean that I'm supposed to. Last time I checked, Judy and I over here have two different minds." I exclaimed. She sighed rubbing her temples. Judy ducked under her jacket realizing that the class was now staring at her.

"Ms.Pines, would you like for me to notify your parents about your disruption in class?" She asked.

What kind of question is that? Of course I don't want her calling my Dad!

" No, bu-"

" Ah-ah." She cut me off raising her hand to silence me.

" Bu-"

"Ms.Pines." She reminds reaching her hand out towards the phone in a testing manner, and like the childish, temper manic, teen I am, I groaned pushing the work off my desk and laid my head down on the desk using my hand as a shield and pillow.

"Throw a fit if you want to Ms.Pines, but If that work is not completed by the end of class not only will I contact your father but I'll make sure your in Saturday detention this weekend...AGAIN." She threatened.

"FUCK YOU." I shouted.

It came out muffled due to the fact that my head was in my arm. I refuse to do that assignment. She never teaches us anything. She just hands us work and automatically expects us to understand it. The people around me giggled seemingly understanding what I had just said. I'm 100% certain that my Daddy would not be to pleased if he heard about this. Let's just say my father isn't one of those "Cool Dads", and yes it's stupid of me to just sit here even after she threaten to call my dad, but one thing about Kinsley Pines is that I'm stubborn as hell. Not intentionally of course. It's just that I have a habit of proving my point.

Time passed and still I laid on my desk half asleep. My mane of brown hair was covering me and the entirety of my desk. The loud bell had woke me up. I laid still on my desk as people passed me in a rush.

"Wake up!" They said as they passed.

A soft tap on the shoulder caught my attention. The soft feel of paper touched my fingers tips and in seconds I slowly raised my head, wondering who had tapped my shoulder. I wiped the slobber off my mouth and pushed my hair out of my face. My eyes widen as I saw both my paper and a pencil setting on my desk. What surprised me the most was the fact my paper was done!

It was on the floor earlier! Who the hell did my work? My mouth dropped to floor as I looked around in search of who could've done this, but no one was there besides Mrs. Easton and I highly doubt she would do this.

She cleared her throat and narrowed her eyes at me. "I hope you know you're still in my class because you will be using this extra time to finish your assignment."

I stumbled for words trying to make up a proper sentence. "I- I uh." I paused looking down at my paper. "Actually, I'm done." A surprised expression ran over her face as I slapped the paper down on her desk.

"But- How? You were asleep!"

"I was taking a brain break." I corrected, crossing my arms over my chest and giving off a proud smirk. "Well, if you would excuse me Mrs.E, I have a class to get to."
