Dear Dad,

I thought you should know that Jason and I are back to the way we used to be, best friends. It's better this way. And I'm still adjusting, but I like being able to talk to him again. We've buried our old feelings for each other.

I have been seeing you less often, but for longer amounts of time. Our situation is strange, with every other weekend and some nights during the week. But I like strange.

I thought I should tell you about the concert I went to. The bands were amazing. The lead singer was so talented that I was shocked. The things I remember are little, but they obviously meant more to me. They're things like the way the breeze made their shirts ripple on stage, or the how the lights matched perfected to the songs. I loved the concert. It was spectacular.

Walking around the city after was great too. There were street performers everywhere and they played songs that sounded beautiful. The trees were covered in little lights that twinkled like fairies. The streets were full of people with glowing necklaces and lights. Even the vendors stationed in the streets were dancing and laughing. If magic were real, that's what it would be.

I miss it already. I love you Dad.

Claire
