*that awkward moment when you get a haircut and it looks like Bill's hair from last chapter's picture...*
----------------------------------------

Bill Cipher.

He was here.

It felt like your eyes were playing tricks on you. "Bill?" You choked on your words since your mouth was hanging open in sheer shock.

"Did ya miss me? Admit it, you missed me," Bill smirked, putting a finger to his cheek. You didn't even have time to think before you lofted your leg and kicked him in the stomach. You watched him fall to the ground when realization hit you. You just kicked Bill Cipher.

"Er, sorry," you mumbled and stuck out a hand to help him up. He struggled to stand and as soon as he did you slapped him across the face. "Geez kid! Sorry, alright? Let me explain," Bill shouted and you took a small step back, hands clenched into fists. Yeah, he better explain. "Okay Bill," you yelled, "explain why you left me and took the necklace and explain how Robbie has it. Explain to me how you could just leave me, just like that, with no goodbye or anything!"

You watched Bill sit on your bed, still out of breath from getting practically beat up by you. "I made a deal with Robbie," Bill said through clenched teeth. He was obviously in a lot of pain and you had a slight guilty feeling. But only slight. "He wanted the stone for whatever reason I don't know," Bill sighed as he continued, "he asked me to find out who had it. I did, I told him, the end. Then he summoned me, which I can't do anything about y/n you know that. That Robbie kid told me to get the stone. Or he'll kill Pine Tree. I thought at the time you liked Pine Tree so I made the deal. That was a while ago. I never got it done because you admitted you loved me and I loved you back. I was ready to let him kill Pine Tree."

"Keep going," you said flatly when he took a break. He nodded, frowning. "I knew you were, er....friends. With Pine Tree. If he killed him, you would be sad. And I didn't want that. So the night before we...um...yeah, I went into Robbie's mind to make another deal but found out he had guys outside the Mystery Shack with guns to kill everyone there. So I took your necklace and left."

There was a brief silence as you just stared at Bill. He was telling the truth. You could tell. Just by the look in his eyes. There was no smirk or anything. "Okay," you said softly, "thanks for telling me." You wiped a tear from your watering eyes and sat down next to him. "Can I ask why you didn't come back to me?"

"I thought you would be angry," Bill replied. For some reason his suit was turning a light blue colour. "Oh," was all you could say, then turned to him, "I'm not." The next thing you knew, the two of you were kissing. "I'm sorry," you said afterwards and he nodded. "I love you a lot y/n," Bill admitted, "I never wanted to leave you."

"Let's go home before anyone wakes up," you suggested, grabbing a bag and shoving your things inside, "if Mabel or Dipper or anyone here sees you you'll be getting worse than a few kicks and slaps."

"You told them?" Bill cringed, obviously ashamed. You couldn't help the smile from forming on your lips. "Yeah...don't worry though I'll tell them everything when I come in for work tomorrow."

Bill cringed again and followed you out the door, both of you walking as quietly as possible not to disturb the Pines family. Bill took your hand and held it until you reached your flat and you sighed, finally understanding and feeling happy again.

But still worried about the stone.
