------------------------------------

It surprised you that there was no particularly amazing dream that night. Yesterday Bill had said he was going to start trying to win you back, which made your heart flutter. But strangely you hadn't dreamt of anything last night.

You got out of bed and combed your h/c hair, walking out into the kitchen where slightly undercooked waffles and orange juice were set out for you. "'Morning," you smiled at Bill, who was reading a newspaper upsidown. "Hello," he smiled back at you, looking at you from over the paper, then quickly staring back at the pages. "No dream?" You teased, not meaning anything by it, but you sensed Bill tense up and he dropped the newspaper abruptly on the table. "Sorry," he said quickly, stumbling over his words, "I forgot because I had stuff to do and then I got busy and caught up with--"

"Just kidding," you interjected and saw him physically relax. You blushed a little. He really must like you to want to win you back this much. "It's fine," you continued, getting up to put your waffles back in the toaster, "I was just wondering. So, I don't have work today, are you planning anything?"

"A date," Bill winked at you, smirking, "like you asked me for. I don't really see the point of dating, but it's the typical human thing to do. So would you care to join me?" You nodded and finished eating, going back into your room to get dressed for your date. You were a little worried about where he was taking you, but deep down you trusted him greatly. You decided on your f/c long-sleeve shirt and leggings. It wasn't anything too fancy and was still casual just in case you were going skydiving or something crazy like that. Bill was pretty unpredictable. You did your hair and by the time you were done it was time to go.

"Ready," you exclaimed and walked up to Bill, who was in his usual golden suit-like outfit. The two of you went downstairs and out the door. Bill stopped walking once you stepped off of the small porch by the entrance to the apartment building. "What?" You asked, concerned that something was wrong. Slowly Bill turned to you, a giant grin across his face. "Have you ever been in the dreamscape?"

"Yeah, when I first met you," you replied, wondering where this was going. "That's where I'm taking you," Bill smiled and grabbed your hand, pulling you into the grey and white tinted world you were growing familiar with. But instead of the features around you turning to greyscale, there was nothing but empty space. Literally nothing there but you and Bill Cipher. You glanced around, getting nervous. It seemed strange having nothing at all around you. It seemed really cold and sterile, two things you hated in one place. "Don't worry," Bill suddenly broke the silence, "you can create anything you want in the dreamscape! Money, food, people, anything." He snapped his fingers and pointed to an empty spot where a table and chairs on the smaller side popped up out of nowhere. Then a cafe and a city street. "Whoa, you breathed, trying to process everything. "Try making something," Bill instructed, "close your eyes and imagine a place. Anywhere. Then think of the remaining emptiness changing into that place and when you look, it'll be there." You reluctantly closed your eyes, gripping onto his hand, and imagined Paris, a place you had always wanted to go. After a few seconds you heard the beeping of cars and the bustle of city and opened your eyes.

The first thing you noticed was the Eiffel Tower in the distance and a brilliant blue sky overhead. The cafe Bill had created now had more buildings flanking it on either side. You felt Bill link his arm with yours and guestured for you to start walking. You strolled through downtown Paris with him, talking and seeing all the sights. It was really fun and so believable, hard to even deCIPHER that it wasn't the real thing.

(Hahaha see what I did there? Do you get it? Sorry, I should go. *walks away ashamed of my bad jokes*)

"This is...crazy," you said and Bill chuckled. "That's the dreamscape. Anything you want, anytime," he replied. You and him sat down at a French cafe table and cups of coffee and a plate of scones and croissants appeared in front of you. "So this is where you stay when you're not...on Earth, I guess?" You asked, sipping your coffee. "You could say that," Bill sighed, "it's pretty great, just gets lonely sometimes." You nodded. You knew that feeling. Every time Bill gave you a beautiful dream in a beautiful location, you felt lonely. All that perfection and beauty around you but no one to share it with. You could understand how lonesome that must feel, to have to endure that whenever you weren't summoned.

"It's okay, y/n," Bill spoke up, seeing your sad-looking face, "I'm here now, stuck here, and I have you." You smiled at him and then said, "why don't you just create like a copy of me in the dreamscape?" The sudden disappearance of the table startled you and before you knew it you could feel Bill's warm breath on your face. Your noses were touching and you were so close...

"It's not the same," Bill said and before you could process anything his lips were on yours and you were kissing. God, you had missed this. Missed him. Missed going on dates and talking to and just spending time with him. You hated being mad at Bill. Which was why you no longer were.

Soon the dreamscape faded away and you found yourself a few minutes away from home. "We walked quite a while in dreamscape," Bill noted and you and him made your way back to the apsrtment. The sky was really pretty, the sunset in Gravity Falls always was. You held hands with Bill as you walked, admiring it in silence. Then that silence ended.

There was a rustle of leaves and when you turned to look the same guy from before, with the black hood, was running past. You stood there, not able to move, as you watched him disappear. "Bill, did you see that?"

"See what?" He replied, looking straight at you.

"That man, the one who wanted my necklace. He just ran by."

"Probably your imagination, y/n, let's go," Bill touched your shoulder lightly and steered you back in the direction of home. Finally you moved your feet and continued walking, sneaking glances over your shoulder. Why was Bill acting so calm? Like it wasn't a bif deal? Was there something going on you didn't know about?
