Dr.Kola entered the lecture hall and the entire room became very quiet from side talks here and there. He was dressed in an oversized wrinkled black suit with a blue inner and obnoxious prescribed eyeglasses which made Sharon presumes he didn't have nice family members to tell him he needed a new pair of glasses and other suits because that seems to be the only suit he wore all the time. He taught us Microbiology 305 and the lecture went on for about one hour and a half before he finally rounded up the class and made his exit through the entrance door.

"Guys I'm hungry oo, let's go get something to eat".Sharon said facing Me and Rachel.

"I'll pass jare, I'm not that hungry plus I want to go through some things I jotted down in the class we just had now". I replied

"I'll go with you Sharon I'm also very hungry". Rachel added yawning

"Jane we are not getting anything for you o, you better decide now and follow us"

Rachel nods her head in agreement

"Ahn Ahn now, I ate before leaving home this morning that's why. But you can help me get gala when you guys are returning to class, pleaseeee" I pleaded putting on a pitiful face to convince my friends.

"You wish, Rachel abeg let's go jare"

"Thanks guys, I love you," I said smiling and watching my friends make their way out of the lecture room.

I quickly remembered why I stayed back and my attention draws back to my notebook that was laying on the table. I opened it to revise what I jotted down in the previous class and then noticed someone walking up to me. I take a glance at the person and realize it's Taofeek. At this point, I started wishing I had gone with my friends to avoid whatever drama that was about to come my way.
Taofeek was a notorious coursemate of mine and I tried my best to avoid him always because I knew he was bad news plus he played girls a lot leaving me to wonder why girls would trip for someone like him, but truth be told he was attractive enough to get them, though, I thought they could do better.

"Hey beautiful," Taofeek said, sitting on my desk beside where my book was placed.

I raised my head to look at him pretending I hadn't seen him coming and reluctantly answered  "Hi"

"Uhm I'm Taofeek.." he stretched his hand to give me a handshake

"Yeah, I know that so what do you want" I quickly cut in ignoring his hand

He pulled his hand back to himself

"Babe calm down, it's not that deep now. I've been noticing you for a while now and I decided to talk to you maybe I could get to know you well yunno."

"Ehn Ehn, like you knew the other girls you played right? See ehn let me just get this straight with you. I know you, I know the type of person you are, and trust me when I say I've heard your gist a lot so I'm not interested in knowing you and I don't want you to know me either so if you could just leave now I would appreciate that" I replied maintaining a straight countenance.

"Nawa oh, Your shakara is too much sef. Kilagbe kilaju and it's not like you are fine. Rubbish and nonsense" He said and walked out on me

"Get lost too" I retorted hissing so loud for him to hear.

I realize half of the people in the class were already staring at me for creating a scene with Taofeek and I immediately became sheepish and wished for the ground to swallow me up immediately because I hate being the center of attention. I see Sharon and Rachel entering the class and I somehow became at ease.

Sharon and Rachel entered the class through the front door entrance and walked towards where I was seated. They catch a glimpse of what happened between me and Taofeek but still looked a bit confused. They reached for their sit and asked what went down in their absence.

"Uhhh what just happened now?" Rachel asked

"Jane? What did Taofeek do to you?" Sharon solicited

"Can you imagine that nonsense guy coming to tell me rubbish to my face like I'm a fool and would want to be with someone like him" I replied still furious at the whole situation?

"Hey hey, babe calm down. What exactly did he say?" Rachel asked again.

"He was saying something like he wanted to know me more, blah blah blah and all that nonsense he'd say to one of his victims".

Sharon started laughing at my response. "Jane it's not that deep now, maybe he just wanted to make a new friend who knows," She said laughing and being sarcastic about what she said.

"Sharon honestly it's not funny. You know the type of person he is and how I want to avoid him as much as I can"

"Pfft, you avoid every guy that comes your way" Sharon replied

Rachel gives Sharon a hard hit on the shoulder "Haba Sharon that was mean"

"Ow" Sharon yelled "But it's the truth now" She added.

"Leave her now, let her continue,  hers is coming very soon" I joined. I  noticed Sharon holding a gala in her hand and grabbed it.
"You got me the gala, aww thank you"

"Thank Rachel she got it for you, I don't even know why I'm the one holding it"

"I knew it, you are not that nice. Rachel thank you jare"

We all laughed and I immediately almost forgot I was angry.
