We decided to see Spider-man: no way home, which was the latest marvel movie that was out at the cinema. After the movie, we went to a nearby restaurant for lunch.

"Hope you liked the movie," Alex asked we as chatted briefly after lunch

"Yeah, surprisingly. I anticipated getting bored with it, but I enjoyed every bit of the movie. Although I wasn't happy with the huge sacrifice he had to make. I mean, being forgotten by the entire universe, especially by the people he loved the most? And even losing his aunt in the process, that's tragic, I said vehemently.

"Yeah, but with great power comes great responsibility. His identity was exposed in the ending of the previous spider-man, which did not only affect him but also his friends. So he had to do something about it." He replied

"However, I believe the whole situation would not have become more complicated if Peter Parker hadn't ruined the sorcerer's spell and brought villains from other worlds. He could have simply reintroduced himself to his friends and aunt after the spell was cast." I said

"Yes, I agree but it wouldn't be that easy you saw how it ended right? Plus I'm sure if that hadn't happened then the whole plot of the movie will be non-existent"

"Well, that's true" I shrugged my shoulders.

"Now you see why you should start watching marvel movies," He said smiling

"Ah, see you trying to convince me, but I'll just stick to my K drama. Marvel movies are a lot and I'm not ready to go through that process.

"That reminds me, you said you would watch a Korean movie with me if I agreed to see this one with you" I added.

"Ehrmm" he murmured scratching his head.

"Wow, you are not being serious right now" I replied scowling

"Hey hey I'm joking,", he said laughing.

"You better be"

"So how about you come over to my place tomorrow so we can watch it together?"

"Uhmm, tomorrow my friends are coming over to study at my house. Mid-semester test, you know?

"Oh, I see. I wish I could be like you."

"Why did you say that," I inquired.

"You are beautiful and smart,", he answered, giving me a long intense look in the eyes

"Says the first-class Elect elect student. Bruhh that is mind-blowing. I replied in an effort to switch the subject.

And yes, you guessed right. That's one of the most endearing things I find about him, and you can trust me to have imagined how smart our future kids would be given two smart parents. Plus, he exudes a nice aura, knows how to maintain a conversation, and tells jokes that make me laugh a lot. I have everything I could possibly want in a guy, if not more.

Maybe Sharon and Rachel do deserve some credit for pushing me out there but I'll never admit it to their face to avoid that cliche line "I told you so"

"You are being overly dramatic" He responded cracking up in laughter

"Have you forgotten you are also a first-class student?

"Are you trying to compare a microbiology first-class to an Electrical Electronics engineering first class? No naw, oh I see what you are trying to do but trust me if I were you, my shoulder pads would be held  high."

"Wow, that's interesting to hear, but It's not a big deal, I believe being a first-class student regardless of your course is impressive enough"

"Well, I agree with you, but I hope I can keep up till my final year like you given the fact that it gets hard each year"

"I believe you will, you are focused and I like that about you"

"That's sweet to hear, thank you," I said blushing.

"It's my pleasure" He replied smiling.

The next day Sharon and Rachel came over to my place to study as they had already agreed. I was in my room studying when I got a call from Rachel that they were at my place and I had gone to pick them up from the gate.

Stephen was in the living room watching his favorite Tv show "Henry danger" which I occasionally watch with him when I'm less busy and sister Vivian had just finished eating in the dining room and was still seated there, pressing her phone.

"Stephen, can't you greet my friends?" I said as we passed through the living room.

"Ohh, I'm sorry, hi Sharon, hi Rachel,"
He responded still engrossed in what he was seeing

"How are you doing?" Rachel asked

"I'm good, thank you" he replied with his eyes fixed on the Tv

"You can't even turn to see who you are responding to. That is why sister Vivian doesn't usually  allow you to stay in the living room"

"Haba Jane, leave the poor boy alone" Sharon retorted

"Poor boy indeed" I laughed

As we were ascending the stairs which were directly across from the dining room where she was seated, Sharon and Rachel greeted sister Vivian

"Hope you guys had a good time at your hang-out yesterday," She asked as we were about to leave.

The question caught Sharon off aback, and was confused as to which hang-out sister Vivian was referring to.

"Ehrmm, what hang..."

"Yes, we had a good time, thanks for asking sister Vivian" Rachel had cut Sharon and immediately responded to the question.

I gave Sharon a long stare as Rachel answered Vivian and she had gestured back looking guilty.

"Ohh yeah the girls hang out right? I almost forgot sis Vivian, the hang-out was great and we had a lot of fun. We'll probably be doing it more often"

Sharon said trying to make up for her delayed reaction to Vivian's question but she might have made it obvious that it was all a lie in my opinion because she was being extra about the nonexistent hang-out.

Sister Vivian smiled in response

"What is wrong with you Sharon? You were literally here yesterday and now you already forgot I told sister Vivian I was hanging out with you guys" I bawled out at Sharon as we got to the room.

"Woah, chill out it was an honest mistake, at least I made up for it. It's not that serious though" Sharon replied in a lackadaisical way.

"I'm not dumb was written all over that smile sister Vivian gave you in response, didn't you see it?"

"Okay, guys it's enough, you two never get tired of arguing do you?" Rachel cuts in

"Sharon gets on my last nerve all the time"

"You sef too dey quick vex" She replied

"Whatever, I said rolling my eyes. Anyway I'm sorry for speaking to you in that manner

"It's fine. Oya how was the date? We want detailed information oh"

"See this one oh, I thought you guys came to read"

"Abeg fill us in with the gist jare. Wait did you guys kiss? Rachel asked curiously

"Ew no, It's just the first date"

So? Sharon questioned

"I live by the principle do not kiss on the first date, why are you giving me that look? I'm sure it's not just me that feels that way"

"That's bland. Jane, nobody thinks that way anymore. Stop acting as if you live in the 90s"

"Hmm hm" Rachel nodded in agreement

"Whatever, I still think that way, so your opinion doesn't matter to me"

"Well, I think there might have been a time that things got a little awkward between us" I added

"Jane? What did you do this time around" Sharon queried

"We were about to leave the cinema, he held my hands giving me this long stare and started reaching out for a kiss. I freaked out and I twitched.

"That must have been embarrassing," Rachel said

"I know right? I apologized to him but I guess he took it well. It got less awkward when we started talking though.

"Always trying to disgrace me and my ancestors all the time," Sharon bantered.

"Get out joor" I replied laughing

"Hope he didn't ghost you after?"

"Of course not, we've been talking since the date" I ascertained

"Okay, we love us a gentleman," Rachel said snapping her fingers in the air.

"Okay, guys enough about me, we have to read for our test"...
