Anakin and Obi-Wan were on the bridge of Anakin's capital ship, the Retribution, a Venator-class star destroyer. Rex and Cody entered by a side door.

Anakin pointed to a point on the star map. "We picked up a fleet of Separatist cruisers entering this system, which can open up to only one target."

Cody scowled. "Kamino."

"Generals, no offense, but if somone comes to our home they'd better be carrying a big blaster," Rex said.

"Rex and Cody, tell your troops the 501st and 212th are going home," Obi-Wan said as the blue image of Bastun appeared. "Bastun, Grevious is sending an assault fleet to Kamino. We need reinforcements."

"I've got a few detachments of the 935th available at the moment, so rendezvous with me at Tapocia city. We'll be there shortly. Traike out," Bastun said as the transmission ended.

At Tapocia city, the main cloning facility, the Venator-class destroyers remained in orbit while the much smaller Acclimator-class destroyers docked with the city, unloading the 501st Legion and the 212th Attack Battalion. Bastun followed Jedi Master Shaak Ti and the leader of the 87th Sentinel Corps, CT-2766 Captain "Draco", to the landing pad. Obi-Wan and Anakin greeted them. Draco handed Obi-Wan a datapad. "General, we've got the main facility reinforced. Unless the clankers have lightsabers now, they aren't getting near the DNA chamber. I can guarantee that," Draco said as Bastun shook the hands of the two Jedi.

"The 935th have spread themselves amongst the clones in clone armor and modified weapons. That way we can surprise them, thus my Shock Trooper officer kit," Bastun said as the Jedi looked him over. Never would they have guessed Bastun would pass physically as a clone, but that's what they're counting on for the surprise reinforcements.

(For the record, I couldn't find much data for the 87th Sentinel Corps in canon, but Star Wars: Battlefront II, DICE released the 87th battalion skins for the clones. They are trained in urban warfare to protect allied cities under threat of Separatist invasion. Due to some heavy similarities of their armor, I am making the canon that they are a separate battalion than the Coruscant Guard Shock Trooper Corps, but the training is similar and work together on several occasions.)

"Well, Emperor Traike, we are ready for the attack. I'll see you in space," Anakin said as he climbed in his Jedi starfighter.

"I'm on the ground with Mila. Briyanna's running fleet business. Try to give us some action," Bastun said, putting his helmet on.

"Yes sir."

-----------------------------

The battle in space roared on for several minutes as Obi-Wan, Shaak-Ti, and Bastun monitored the battle.  A clone officer approached the leaders.  "Generals, we're beating them.  The Separatist fleet is breaking."

Obi-Wan shook his head.  "No, something's wrong.  Even Grievous isn't this reckless,"  he said as he activated a scan on the floor of the oceans of Kamino.  Several large metal objects were picked up on the ocean floor.  "Are those...  Anakin, the battle is down here! The wrecked transports are pieces of assault craft!"

"Coming there now," Anakin said over the radio.  "Artoo, open comms to Admiral Yularen and Empress Traike.  Yularen, Anakin's fleet commander, responded.

"General Skywalker, the Galaxitronian fleet is entering the system, but due to a uprising, it's at half strength," the admiral said as he looked at notification screens.

"Alright.  Briyanna, do you have any fighter squadrons available?  Obi-Wan just told me wrecked transports and falling debris are parts to assault craft to attack the city.  I need you to keep the droids busy up here," Anakin said.

"Copy that.  The new flagship's gunners need target practice," Briyanna said as the ship's cannons opened fire on any hostile in range.

Anakin jumped out of his fighter and sliced a droid into pieces.  He saw a Shock Trooper officer lead several clones towards the main hanger.  Obi-Wan chimed in on Anakin's comm.  "Anakin, Grievous and Ventress are here.  I'll deal with Grievous, you stop Ventress from stealing the Clone DNA Template," Obi-Wan said.

----------------------------

General Grievous cackled maniacally as he witnessed his droids mow down clones.  A Clone Officer slid into an airvent leading into the barracks.  "Hahaha, this is to easy," the rage-filled cyborg stated.  A lightsaber ignited behind him.  When Grievous turned around, Obi-Wan swung his lightsaber into his Form III opening stance.

"Define easy, General," Obi-Wan said as Grievous drew two lightsabers from his waist, followed by another set of arms drawing two more.  His wrists started swinging a saber in a circular motion, soon followed by the corresponding wrist.  His other two arms were posed overhead to strike from above his unrelenting onslaught.  Obi-Wan drew his arm back and launched Grievous down the hall.

-----------------------------------

Mila was currently holding the East Landing pad singlehandedly.  As droids approached, she hurled a saber at a column, blocking fire with the other.  Focusing the Force, she stopped incoming fire , creating a blinding wall of lasers.  She repulsed it all back outwards, leveling the droids.  Her comms chimed and she answered.

"Mila, this is Master Shaak Ti.  If you can, could you reinforce my position?  I and the Kamino Security Corps are trapped in the Command Center," Master Ti asked.

"I'm clear.  I'll be there in a moment," Mila replied, her helmet scanning the city.  With a single massive push she launched herself to the top of the city and slid in a window.  She was running down a hallway when she heard blaster fire.  She rounded the corner and saw several dozen droids that trapped several members of the 212th.  Mila lifted the droids off the ground and flung them out the window.  Pulling the squad's sergeant up, he saluted.

"I owe you one, your Highness," he said.

"Don't worry about that.  Master Shaak Ti and the Kamino Security Corps are boxed in at the CP.  Follow me," Mila said as she sprinted towards the Command Center, followed by the clone squad.  She crushed several droids and slammed it into a droideka that was opening fire into the Command Center.  Shaak Ti hurled half a dozen droids out into the hallway.

"Mila, your father's trapped in the north quadrant of the city.  Last reports say Master Kenobi and General Grievous were in the area too, along with a few squads of droids,"  Master Ti said as she caught her breath.

"My dad will be alright.  We need to press our advantage," Mila said as the two Force users led the clone troopers through the halls, killing all droids in their paths.

Meanwhile, two clone troopers, CT-5555 "Fives" and CT-4375 "Echo", accompanied a group of young cadets to the barracks, following the clone "99".  When they entered the barracks, a cadet asked what they were going to do.

"We fight."  Everyone turned to see Captain Rex and Commander Cody enter the room.

"But our training's not finished," another cadet said.

Fives took his helmet off and pointed at the cadets.  "Look around you.  We have the same heart, the same blood.  Your training is in your blood.  Mine is boiling for a fight," Fives said as they heard footsteps.  The turned to see a Coruscant Guard Officer walk in, followed by two Shock Troopers.  The officer took his helmet off, revealing Bastun's face.

"Nice speech.  We got droids incoming.  99, can we get to the armory from here?"  Bastun said.

"Its right down the hall.  We can get everything we need.  I can show you.  Who's ready to shoot some droids?" 99 asked enthusiastically.  Rex rubbed the shoulder of his fellow clone as they left for the armory.  Upon entering it, Bastun sighed happily as he grabbed a blaster rifle.  As he slung the strap over his shoulder, he grabbed a Z-6 Rotary Cannon and strutted out.  Rex and Cody stifled a laugh as Bastun ran back.  Rex handed the cadets a DC-15 blaster carbine and ammo.  Slinging on a backpack, 99 waited for Cody to fill it with impact grenades, then got a pack himself.  Sneaking back to the barracks, they waited for the droids.  Flipping a switch on his helmet, Bastun saw two platoons of droids coming down the hall.  The doors opened allowing Rex, Cody, and Fives to fire out, spooking the droids.  They fell back, feigning retreat.  They took cover as Bastun walked into view, firing up his rotary cannon.

"Eat hot laser, Clankers!" Bastun shouted as they practically melted under the firepower.  Bastun pushed a button on the handle, making the shots begin to charge, creating a plasma explosion as they hit their target.

Rex and Cody threw bombs towards the door.  Rex reached into the backpack and tossed the last grenade to Cody.  "Last one.  Make it count," Rex said as 99 scrambled up.

"I..I'll get more!" He said as he took off to the far exit.

Rex spun his head around.  "No, 99!  You can't!"

99 kept running towards the armory.  "I'm a soldier, like you."  He set his eyes on the nearby door, his body far surpassing the physical limits it was used to.  "This is what I was bred for."  A stray shot hit his calf.  Causing him to fall to his knees.

Fives and Echo dived from cover and advanced towards the droids.  Bastun switched back to full-auto and sprayed the area, grunting as several droid blaster shots hit his armor and pierced it.  Fives ran to a downed droid and double-tapped the droid and kept going forward.  "99! No!" He shouted as he bashed the head off a droid.  Several more lasers struck 99 in the back, his wounded body falling to the ground.  Bastun hurled his weapon at the droids and drew his sidearm and shot the weapon, pulverizing the remaining droids and blasting a hole in the wall.  He turned back to see the clones standing around Rex, who was holding 99's body in his arms.  "He really was one of us," Fives said with respect.

Bastun crouched next to the fallen clone and felt his forehead.  "Don't cry yet.  Dispatch, I need a Med team in Barracks 009 immediately," Bastun said as his eyes glowed an eerie green and green tendrils floated from his hands to 99.  Rex's HUD flashed, shocking him.

"He's alive.  Unstable, but alive," He said as the clones looked at Bastun.

"Back on Galaxitron, we've got medical equipment that can bring people back from mortal injuries, including one's that killed on contact.   The damage is severe so you'll probably not see him for a while.  But he'll live," Bastun said as soldiers in red and white uniforms walked in with a medical pod.

"Sir, we've set the pod for the Jango Fett genetic code.  And also, Captain, your friend will be healed in four or five months.  And he'll be treated with the finest care," one of the attendants said.

"And set up a room in the palace, and use my personal medical staff," Bastun said.  The clones watched as their brother was carried out to a safe place till he could be taken offworld.  Everyone was brought back to the moment as an assault craft crashed on the surface of the city.  The clones ran into the corridor, shooting the incoming droids.

------------------------------------------------

Seeing as secrecy was out the window, Bastun stripped his armor down to his plain robes and drew his lightsabers.  Leaping into the air, he used the Force to corkscrew through the halls, mincing droids that were caught unaware.  A white double-bladed lightsaber spun past him, returning to Briyanna's waiting hand.

"What are you doing here?  I though you were covering the space battle," Bastun said as the two ran into a hanger and continued combat.

"The Separatist fleet left, allowing me to bring a kill squad to clear out the remnants.  Plus, directing's not really my forte," Briyanna replied as Mila and Shaak-Ti entered on the far side, followed by several platoons of clones.

Shortly, a pale feminine figure dropped from a hanger window.  Bastun recognized her as Asajj Ventress, the Sith Assassin trained by Count Dooku.  Anakin followed and the two clashed blades.  As the two fought, Ventress lost possession of the Jango Fett DNA sample and the canister bounced across the steel floor of the hanger.  As Ventress used the force to draw the canister to her, a clone reached out and grabbed it.  Several dozen clones rushed the hanger and had their guns trained on the Sith.  She sighed and flipped off the edge, escaping on a transport ship General Grievous had stolen.  Anakin took the canister from the clone and left to return it to the genetic material core.  Mila walked up to Bastun, strutting.

"Fifty-two droids," Mila said, proud of her kill count.

"You still have much to learn.  One hundred and nineteen," Bastun said as Briyanna shook her head.

"I had to be married to a Mandalorian," she said as the group watched 99 being loaded on a transport for Galaxitron.
