The second I woke up I felt my head pounding. I tried to open my eyes and get up but I felt dizzy right away. I stayed still for a few minutes gathering my strength before I tried again.

I finally managed to open my eyes and realized I had no idea where I was. "Sarah?" I croaked, my voice sounding to my ears.

"In the kitchen." I heard a male voice say and followed it. "Good morning." The blond guy from yesterday said, smiling at me.

"Good morning." I simply answered when I wanted to ask a million questions. "Where are we?"

His smile dropped. "What do you mean where are we? Isn't this your house?" He asked me.

"No!" I yelled.

"You gave the cab driver the address!" He yelled back at me.

"I did not! I've never been here before!"

"Well whose house is it? Oh God, please don't tell me we're breaking and entering!" he said as he sat down again. On the wall behind him was a picture of Sarah with her parents. I breathed again.

"Oh right. It's my friend's house." I said. "I've never been here before." I pointed at the picture behind him.

"Good. You had me scared there for a moment." He said relieved. I hope you don't mind I made coffee." He said and pushed a mug of hot coffee towards me.

"Thanks." I said. "So..." I started saying but realized I didn't know his name.

"Aramis."

"Like in the three musketeers!"

"Yeah, you said that yesterday too." He observed clearly annoyed.

"Sorry. You're French?"

He nodded. "Here for the World Cup."

"Aramis, don't take this the wrong way, but nothing happened between us, right?"

He chuckled. "You mean besides you telling me all about your imaginary boyfriend, coincidentally named Neymar like the Brazilian striker?"

"He's not imaginary!" I protested.

"Sure he's not. Unless you mean your boyfriend is someone wearing Neymar's jersey, because there are plenty of those around here."

"So nothing happened?" I asked again, ignoring his comment.

"Nothing between us. Now, between you and my friend D'Artagnan, that's another story."

"WHAT?" I asked, thinking about the guy he was with yesterday. "Oh, D'Artagnan. Nice one."

He laughed. "No, Neymar has nothing to worry about." He continued mocking me.

"He's real!" I yelled.

"Again, no one is saying he isn't real. I'm just saying he's not really your boyfriend."

"Whatever. Where is my friend?"

"Bedroom. With my friend."

"WHAT?" I turned to look at him.

"Not D'Artagnan. Louis."

"His name is Louis? That's so messed up."

"It's a perfectly good name." Aramis said.

I walked towards the bedroom and knocked on the door. When I got no answer I opened it slightly. Louis was sleeping on the bed in only his boxers. "Shit." I whispered.

"What's going on?" Aramis asked, coming up behind me.

"Where's Sarah?" I whispered.

He pointed towards the bathroom.

"Sarah?" I asked, knocking softly on the door.

"Come in." She said in between sniffs.

"Stay here." I told Aramis when he made a move to follow me. "Hey Sarah." I said when I closed the door. She was sitting on the bathroom floor, hugging the toilet. Tears were running from her eyes. "What happened?" I asked her, sitting down next to her.

"I don't know." She said.

"You mean between you and D'Artagnan – sorry, Louis. Did you hook up with him?"

"I don't know. I don't remember!"

"Okay, stay here. Don't panic." I told her and quickly headed out. I heard her puke again before I closed the door. How much did she drink if she couldn't remember? How didn't I realize yesterday?

"What's happening?" Aramis asked me. "Why do girls freak out so much the morning after?"

"Well, if those girls have boyfriends..."

"Oh you're continuing with this. And who is her boyfriend? Let me guess Enrique Iglesias? Or... is he football buddies with yours? He's on the team too?"

"As a matter of fact..."

"Yeah, don't tell me! Oscar? Thiago Silva?" He cut me. He started laughing uncontrollably.

Ignoring him once again I walked to the side of the bed. "Hey sleeping beauty." I said, shaking Louis.

"What's happening?" He asked when he opened his eyes and saw me and Aramis standing above him.

"Did you and Sarah sleep together?"

"What?"

"You and my friend! The brunette!" I yelled and started shaking him.

"Dude what's wrong with your girl?" Louis asked Aramis as he disentangled himself from my grab failing to answer me once again. "You always pick the crazy ones."

"I'm not his girl!" I yelled at the same time as Aramis said: "She's not my girl!"

"Did you hook up with her?" I asked Louis again.

"Nah." He answered. "She was wasted. I don't roll like that."

"Okay. Okay, good." I took a deep breath. "Sarah, nothing happened." I told Sarah as soon as I got inside the bathroom again. "You were drunk. In fact I remember now. You passed out and we all came back here. Nothing happened."

"Are you sure?" She asked me, looking up at me.

"Yes, I am. You and Louis were passed out so we put the both of you on the bed and we slept in the couches.

"Thank God. If something had happened David would never have forgiven me."

"It's alright. David doesn't even have to know. They won't be here till the afternoon anyway." I said. "What time is it?" I asked but Sarah shook her head. "Stay here. I'll bring you a clean towel and we'll get this place cleaned up."

I went back out into the bedroom and started searching the cabinets for towels. "What time is it?" I asked Louis who was still on the bed, when I heard the doorbell.

He reached for his phone and opened it. "Like 3 in the afternoon."

It took a second for the words to sink in. No. No, no, no, I thought as I heard the front door open.

"So she wasn't lying after all! You really are her boyfriend!" I heard Aramis exclaim.

"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?" David yelled and I heart something being knocked over and breaking.

"David!" I yelled, running towards the living room. Neymar and David were standing over Aramis. One of them must have knocked him towards the table next to the door because the vase full of pink roses that was there was now broken in dozens of pieces on the floor. Aramis was wet and had a cut on his hand.

"David." I heard Sarah say as she joined me by the bedroom door. She looked pale and worn out, David looked at her concerned for a second and then his face turned into a mask of rage. Louis had decided to emerge from the bedroom too and he was still only wearing boxers.

"Okay someone please explain what's going on here." Neymar said. His voice was strained and I realized he was exercising all of his control to appear calm.

"Neymar! David Luiz! You've got to be kidding me!" Louis said, oblivious to what was going on. "I'm a big fan." He said walking towards them with his hand extended.

"I'll bash your skull in." David barked at him and he retreated quickly.

"David!" I yelled again and he was taken aback by how high my voice came out.

"Bunch of lunatics." I heard Aramis whisper as he got up and checked the wound on his hand.

"You hit him?" I asked Neymar and David. "Why are you always jumping to conclusions?"

"We didn't." Neymar said quickly.

"Well I may have shoved him. That's not the point." David said.

"What's with the blood?"

"The stupid roses. They have thorns." Aramis said poking at his hand. "And a bunch of them are now inside my hand."

"There's bandages in the kitchen." Sarah spoke again.

"Will someone explain what's going on?" Neymar asked again.

"Yes." I said quickly. "Nothing is going on."

"Really?" David asked. "You call this nothing?" He gestured towards Louis and Sarah. "Is this Theo?"

"GOD NO!" Sarah said quickly. "I told you, Theo and I are done!"

"Who is this then?"

"I'm Louis."

"You've got to be fucking kidding me." David said. "Louis? Nicely done Sarah. You could have at least picked someone who didn't share my last name."

"David, it's not what you think." I cut in, seeing Sarah ready to cry.

"I'm done with this. It's over." He said and turned around to leave.

Sarah took a step towards him, ready to say something but turned around and run back to the toilet, vomiting again.

I didn't know who to run after. "David!" I yelled but he had already descended the stairs and was walking out the main entrance of the building.

"What just happened?" Louis asked.

"That's what I'd like to know." Neymar said, this time louder. "Liv?"

"The only thing anyone did here last night was sleep." I said firmly. "I have to go check on Sarah." I said walking towards the bedroom. I stopped for a second and turned to look at Neymar. I'll explain everything but please help me. He understood me, even without words. He nodded and his face relaxed.

I walked towards the bathroom where Sarah was once again sitting on the floor by the toilet. Her face was tear stricken and her hair was sticking to her neck. She looked really bad.

"She's like super dehydrated." Louis said following after me. "I'll get her a glass of water."

"David?" She asked me.

"He's gone. I'm so sorry Sarah. I'll call him right now."

"No don't. There's a reason he left so quickly. He doesn't want to hear it. He wants out. He wants it to be over. I'm just going to let him."

"No..." I whispered.

"Yes." She said firmly. "He's tired. I'm tired. Maybe it's just not meant to be."

"He's just mad. He'll get over it."

"Don't you see Liv? Neymar is still here. He could have left too but he didn't."

"Here's your water." Louis said coming back inside. Thankfully he had the insight to put his pants on.

"Thanks." Sarah said and took a sip.

"I'll be right back." I told them.

"Liv, I need to talk to you." Sarah said.

"Okay, let me just..." I said pointing at the door and went back into the living room where Neymar and Aramis were still standing where I left them, looking around awkwardly. "David?" I asked Neymar.

"I'm on it." He said and went down the stairs, his phone in his ear.

I turned to Aramis. "Let's go find those bandages." I said and walked towards the kitchen. I started looking through the cupboards until I located a box with medical supplies. "Give me your arm." I said to Aramis.

"What the hell just happened?" Aramis said. "I really didn't think he was your boyfriend. Neymar Da Silva Santos Junior was just jealous of me!"

"Yes what a day to be alive." I said mockingly.

"Indeed." He said happily.

"All done." I told Aramis after I extricated the thorns and patched him up.

"We should go." he said. "I think we overstayed our welcome. And somehow I doubt they'd want to take a picture."

I didn't know what to say.

"It was nice meeting you." He said as he got up.

"You too. For real."

He chuckled. "Maybe I'll see you around."
