"Oli! Wake up! We are seriously going to be late!" I heard Marina say as she shook me. I opened my eyes quickly. She had already gone in the bathroom.

"Morning." I said but I hadn't yet moved.

"Seriously get up." She said emerging from the bathroom.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"Late. Breakfast ends in half an hour."

"Mmmm." I murmured.

Suddenly she was sitting in the side of my bed. "You look awfully happy! What happened yesterday?"

"What do you mean?" I asked innocently.

"I mean with that guy we have yet to see!"

"We are just friends. I mean, we aren't even friends yet, I've known him for two days."

"A lot can happen in two days." She winked at me and stood up again.

"Speaking from experience?" I teased her.

"Maybe." She winked at me again.

"Peter." I said. It was more of a statement than a question.

"Yeah... I guess."

"Spill."

"I'm not so sure it's going to go anywhere. He wants to, but..."

"Do you want to?"

"Maybe... I mean yeah. Oh I don't know! He's a good guy but... we are in Brazil. You know what I mean?" she asked, looking at me expectantly.

I nodded.

"Does that make me a bitch?" she asked.

"No. Of course not. And you're allowed to have a few days to make up your mind."

"Thanks Oli." She smiled at me. "Now get up and get ready!" she shouted.

When we walked in the restaurant it was still full of people. They had taken all the tables and linked them to form a giant pi shaped table. These guys were definitely a team, I thought.

"Morning sleepyheads." Alex said, his blonde hair standing out amidst all the Brazilians.

"Morning everyone!" I said and received a ton of mornings in result.

"Breakfast hours are extended, so you have time to get something." Alex said.

We walked towards the kitchen and from the corner of my eye I thought I saw Juninho leaving the room. That was odd, he would have said "hi", wouldn't he?

"Good morning Meerene!" I said to the cook once we reached the kitchen.

"Hello Olivia." She greeted me warmly.

"You look exhausted." I noticed.

"We have been cooking non-stop for two hours. I had forgotten how much footballers eat." She signed as she unloaded bacon on the tray again.

"And they never keep any of it on." Marina whined adding only some egg whites and toast on her plate.

We said goodbye to Meerene and headed towards the table. There was an empty seat next to Peter and I told Marina to sit. She mouthed thank you as I sat a few seats down next to Thiago and across from David and Hulk.

"Hey guys." I said and they all answered. They introduced me to Hulk whom I hadn't met officially yet. "I wanna say I am sorry for yesterday. I overreacted, thinking it was about me."

"You have nothing to be sorry for." David told me.

"Did umm... Juninho find you?" Thiago asked me. I nodded

"Who is Juninho?" Hulk, who was watching the conversation, asked. We all turned to look at him. David had a look of exacerbation.

"You don't know him? But he works here!" I said, the ever present question being what is it that he does exactly. He promised I'd know by the end of last night but I knew nothing. David opened his mouth to speak. "Don't you dare say anything in Portuguese!" I almost shouted.

Suddenly everyone started getting up.

I looked around, Peter who was just passing in front of me informed me of what was happening. Scolari had called a meeting in the locker room. Now.

David and Thiago started walking but I shot them a look that meant "We are not done."

I got up and walked towards Peter, Marina and Alex.

"Oh good, Oli." Marina said once I sat down. "We were talking about going to the pool- the inside one! Some of the players are going after the meeting with Scolari and they invited us!"

I nodded.

"What's going on? You couldn't wait to go, two days ago."

"Well, technically I went. Two days ago."

Marina turned to look at me, her mouth open.

"With Juninho." I added.

"Where is that guy? We still haven't met him" Peter said.

"He must have already eaten." I guessed.

"Let's go get ready for the pool." Marina said and dragged me with her.  We got ready quickly and went back to the living room to wait for everyone else.

~*~

"Agh! I am so jealous of you right now!" Marina exclaimed as she put a pillow on her face. I was getting ready to go out with Thiago, David and Juninho.

After the pool in the morning I bumped into them as they returned from the football field. These boys, still playing football on their day off. They asked me to join them for drinks and I gladly accepted.

I told Marina and asked her to come with us but she had agreed to dinner with Peter in the compound and she couldn't back out. "That's exactly what I meant in the morning!" she said.

"You'll come next time."

"And I wanted to meet that Juninho of yours!"

"He isn't mine." I corrected.

I put on a pair of jeans and a blue, flowy blouse that tied around the neck and exposed my shoulders. I put my hair up and wore a pair of big butterfly earrings.

"You look amazing." Marina said. "Only one thing missing." She added and tossed me my red lipstick.

~*~

"Wow."

Juninho and David were already in the parking lot when I got there.

"You look amazing." Juninho said.

I smiled. "You don't look bad yourselves." I told them.

"We are still waiting on Hulk, Thiago, Julio, Oscar and Dani." David informed me.

I nodded.

Thiago appeared from the compound. "You look great Olivia."

I smiled at him.

"So, Julio isn't coming. Oscar has already left to pick up his girlfriend."

"So we are waiting on Hulk and Dani?" David asked.

Thiago nodded. "But we need two cars."

"You guys should go ahead and we will meet you there." Thiago told us.

I followed Juninho towards Neymar's car but he passed by it. "We are taking David's today." He told me.

"Why isn't Neymar coming?" I asked. "You did tell him right?" I asked.

"Yeah. He is busy." He told me.

"So mysterious!" I mocked but Juninho seemed annoyed so I dropped it.

David got in the driver's seat and Juninho next to him. I got in the back but sat in the middle of the seat to be able to look at both of them.

"So where are we going?" I asked them.

"You're gonna love it." Juninho told me, looking at me smiling. "It's a club but outdoors. And there's a beach."

I smiled. It sounded great.

"Where is it?" I asked since I didn't see anything matching that description yesterday night.

"Close to Rio. Those places need to be remote, due to noise complaints and stuff." David said.

I nodded. We had a nice talk the rest of the drive, David was very nice and he and Juninho were good friends.

"So did you two meet through the team?" I asked them.

David shot a glance at Juninho. "Yes." Juninho said.

"You guys are weird!" I said. "You keep looking at him every time I ask something!" I told looking at David through the mirror. He avoided my gaze.

"You are imagining things."

"Well, anyway if there is something, you can tell me. We are all friends, right? I don't know what you're scared of." I said. I thought maybe there was something about Juninho that he didn't want to talk about, he always seemed to not want to talk about himself. In a way he was a mystery. For all the time we spent with each other, we had gotten close without revealing details about our past. But we had gotten close; there was no doubt about that in my mind. Because I was myself when I was around him and I could express myself freely. And I felt that he did too. But he held back something. And maybe the others, being his friends, didn't want to embarrass him. But at this point, everything I thought was just a guess. And not knowing something made you think the worse possible scenarios, like yesterday when I thought they were laughing about me.

"I'm not getting in the middle of this." David said.

"In the middle of what David?" I asked.

"Nothing." Juninho answered abruptly. He was looking outside and I couldn't see his face and while his tone was angry, his voice seemed a little sad. I decided not to push it. Suddenly I desperately wanted to get to the club and down a few shots.

We all stayed silent for the rest of the drive. When we reached the club, Juninho got out so fast that he was already out of sight when I closed my door.

I looked at David but he shrugged his shoulders and motioned me to go on. As we approached the entrance I realized that there was a line and some paparazzi there.

"Isn't there a back entrance?" I asked David.

"DAVID LUIZ!" I heard someone scream and suddenly everyone was on us. Paparazzi and fans, desperate to get close to David. I had never seen anything like it. Instinctively I tried to move away from David. He was a pro at this and didn't seem to mind the fans. Fortunately the doormen of the club came to assist with the situation. I escaped the mob but not before someone elbowed me in the face- hard. I hoped it wouldn't leave a mark.

I walked towards the now empty entrance of the club and got inside. I looked around as I waited for David. The club was really pretty; it was dark with the only light coming from the stars above and a few hidden lights. The music was deafening and there were so many people, sweaty and dancing, close to each other. I spotted Juninho and a few other people. He was in a less crowded area and I made my way towards him.

Suddenly a hand stopped me. "This is the VIP area. No entry allowed." A tall muscular guy said.

"But I am with the team!" I told him pointing at Juninho. He turned his gaze towards him and laughed.

"Yeah right. Return to the main area please." He told me pointing behind me.

"Juninho!" I yelled but the music was so loud I barely heard myself. The bouncer grabbed me by the shoulders and turned me around.

"Don't make me escort you outside miss." He told me.

"Okay fine." I told him and started moving so that he'd let me go.

"It's alright, she's with me." I heard and turned around to see Juninho.

"I'm so sorry sir, I didn't think that..." the bouncer started apologizing to Juninho. He looked really nervous about his mistake.

"It's okay." Juninho reassured him waving his hand.

"I am sorry miss." The bouncer told me, making room for me to pass through.

I nodded and followed Juninho.

"Are you alright?" he asked me.

I nodded again. "Only my pride is a little wounded." I said.

"You'll get over it. Can I get you a drink?" he asked me.

"Sure. Since we're in Brazil a caipirinha seems like a good choice."

He nodded and walked towards the bar. David approached me. He sat on one of the sofas.

"Oh, that was exhausting. And turns out there was a back door." He told me.

"Next time." I answered.

"What happened to you?" he asked me.

"What do you mean?"

"I don't want to alarm you but you have something on your face that looks like it will turn into a bruise."

"Damn it! Someone elbowed me before, when we were trying to get inside." I said.

"Really? I am so sorry!" he said as if it was his fault and approached me. He turned my face towards the light to look at it. "This is why we stay close to the bodyguards." He told me.

"Survival instinct. The people wanted you, not me, so I tried to get out of there!" I told him without revealing that it was a little terrifying. But I guessed he was right. I was shoved and elbowed because they weren't trying to get to me but pass by me.

"What's going on?" Juninho came back with our drinks.

"Apparently I am going to look great in the morning." I said. "I'm going to go look at it in the bathroom, excuse me." I said and walked towards it.
