"You are praising Alexandrov so much without knowing who he really is." He sighed as he sat down to the chair beside the table here in the Library. "He's not as noble as what you are all thinking. We were trapped here because of him, he closed all tunnels we can walk to the above ground. Even caves where there's an exit point from here he closed." He started.

"Why would King Alexandrov do that to all of you?"

"Alexandrov, Peter and I were very good friends back then, warrior. In this very undercity were our sanctuary from the second apocalypse. Everything was doing good as we survive everyday down here. Not until Alexandrov started to change. He told us he wanted to create his own Kingdom. He wanted Peter to make an Elixir to prolong life. Peter obliged, we didn't notice Alexandrov's true intentions about the elixir. We though he'll be using it to help our fellow people. But after Peter finally accomplished creating the elixir, Alexandrov snatched it away and disappeared. His late brother whom he left here told us that Alexandrov drank the elixir, fully unaware what would be the side effects of it." He sighed, remembering their past.

"That's because he hasn't talk to Peter, right? What's the side effect of that elixir?" I curiously asked.

"That elixir was made for all of us, hundreds in numbers that time. Too much intake of the elixir has a very bad side effect." He paused as he looked at me, disappointment is what I saw in the depths of his eyes. "The elixir could turn someone into a blood-sucking monster. Also known as vampires."

"Oh my goodness! That's ridiculous! King Alexandrov couldn't be—" I exclaimed, confusion washed to me. In addition, I remembered my dream about King Alexandrov being hanged in the top of the Palace, dead but his eyes were opened. Red eye's is what I saw in his.

"That was only our conclusion that time, but we were proved true when Alexandrov visited us here few decades ago. He admitted that he became a vampire but he didn't regret it for it gave him power, power that made people follow him, power that made people fear and praise him. He wants us to be one of his residents on his own colony. He said he'll be the King, and we'll be given position's in his colony palace if we will say yes."

"But you all didn't." I continued to what he will be adding. "Didn't you?"

"Treachery is a heavy sin to us, warrior. We can't just forget what he did. But instead of asking for our apology, he was forcing us to enter and be part of his colony. We didn't saw repentance and regret from him." His face saddened. "When we didn't oblige to what he wants, his very first army came down days after to fright us out like rats who's hiding in holes. He commanded his army to kill half of our people here, just to force us. When we still didn't, he trapped us down here. He blocked and destroyed all exit and entry points to and from here."

"Mr. Prophet, may I ask you something? Just promise me you wouldn't tell it to anyone." I stated, he nodded as an answer. "I dreamed about a lot of weird things before my mark showed up, and 'til now I still. But once I dreamed about King Alexandrov being killed, and I saw him with bloodshot eyes. And according to what you said, if that's really true, he is a vampire. Then that makes my dream true?" I confusedly asked, hoping he has something to tell just to make my mind clear.

"How long have you been a Guardian?" he asked.

"Mainly just weeks ago."

"Guardians are vessels of higher celestial power, Vessels of the ancient protector of the land and heaven. You as a guardian can also foresee some possible prophecy because as I said, you are a vessel of a higher celestial power. It was a gift given only to you, to the guardians." He explained.

"Does that mean you've been also a guardian?" I asked again. He only gave me a thin smile. As he stood up from the chair, I noticed the four faded ace tattoos in the fingers of his hands. You couldn't notice it if you wouldn't focus looking on it. "What star are you?"

"Scorpio." He answered, back facing to me because he was facing the bookshelves nearby, looking for maybe a book. "Ah. There it is." He said as he took one book from it. It was black, no written title on the front page. He put it to the table, and sat again.

"Why was that book hasn't had title?" I curiously asked, observing the book. He didn't answer, instead, he grabbed my hand and placed it on the top of the book. The moment my hand evenly grasped the book, it shined. Moment then, flickering trails infront of it, writing letters in the front page.

"Penta-theory of SignAl." I read aloud, as the flickering trails stopped. "What is this? And how—" he cut me short.

"That book contains a copy of the prophecy. That's enchanted by Peter, and only the fire cardinal could light up the elements Peter put into the book to reveal its contents. It's black, blank and useless not until you placed your hand into the cover of it. Although only this book was made enchanted by him. The other copies were stolen from us by Alexandrov's soldier."

"Why will he stole it from you then?"

"Because Alexandrov was getting greedy of power. He thinks that by stealing the Prophecy books, he'll likely can control all the guardians in his own hands. Which he was already doing now. He tried to control all of you, luckily, the Alpha guardian isn't as dumb as what he thinks. You may have been innocent about all of this complications, but he belittled you so much for giving you all this mission of trying to capture us." He gave me a faint smile. "His now far from the Alexandrov I've been friends with."

*KNOCK* *KNOCK*

We got interrupted by a knock.

"Come in." Prophet Simon said to whoever knocked at the other side of the door.

"Did I disturbed you?" Alexiese said upon entering. "I was just tasked to summon you for dinner. Peter said we should all eat together before he tells us some important things." He informed, which made me look to Simon. Simon on the other hand, is looking thoroughly to Alexiese.

"Simon, I think we should go now." I tapped him lightly.

"Isn't he? But that would be ridiculous. Or it was just a mere coincidence?" he whispered.

"Simon?" I tapped him again this time with much conviction to draw his attention. "What's the matter?"

"Nothing." He replied as he now walks toward Alexiese who's waiting at the doorway. He stared for a moment to Alexiese again before finally leaving the Library.

"What's his problem with you? Have you done anything while we were talking?" I asked him, he only answered me by a shrug.

"I don't know. I just helped the Alchemist to prepare food. And besides, we haven't talk yet since we got here."

"But why does he looks at you like that?" He just shrugged again and lead the way to where we were about to go.

WHEN we finished eating dinner by then, Peter started to tell us what important thing he wanted to tell us.

"Guardian's, you can't stay too long here. Alexandrov's probably waiting for all of you." He started. "I believe Solem already has what she needed here, so you all better get back above ground."

"What about our first mission? We shouldn't tell the King about what we knew about here right?" Lexxus asked.

"Definitely you can't. And we already had decided about that matter long time ago, when Simon foresee your coming here." He sighed. "So you should comeback on Alexandrov's palace with us tied in rope while your all blood-soaked, Heroes. A fabricated story in which Alexandrov would really believe. You'll treat us as enemies, traitors. Then we'll escape easily from the prison." Peter uttered.

"In that way, Alexandrov won't figure out about what happened here. And also, that's the only way we can protect our dear undercity." Simon said. "By the way, we have something for you, Guardians. We've prepared for this for a long time." He added as one of his henchmen's approached him carrying 12 swords in a sturdy cloth.

"I forged those swords using Platiridium and Diamond. So the blades are undeniably strong, durable and unbreakable. Platiridium's the strongest compound I can use into swords, added with diamond, these swords can slice up everything you can imagine. Add those powers you all possess to it and those swords will be your perfect companion in the battlefields." Peter explained. "Although obsidian would be a much stronger element I can use in swords, it couldn't be easily mined. It's in deep earth location where air pressure would be a real problem for our miners. So I prefer diamond which I can easily create from carbon-rich rocks in our mine."

"And for the new Alpha, we also made you a specially-crafted knife. It has 10% obsidian, 40% diamond, 50% Platiridium. Peter also added some enchantments that you could use on the near future, and those elements could certainly assure you that it can kill even immortals and celestials." Simon, handing me the black, dragon designed knife. "I asked him to made it especially for you, so you already knew what certain trick he used in it like what he use to the thing I gave to you. That knife contains the last obsidian we've mined here." He smiled meaningfully.

"Keep all of this, even this." Peter continued, handing us a glass tube of gold-colored liquid. "That's an elixir of Eternal remedy. Extracted from Simon's blood, experimented and tested by our scientists and junior alchemists here. The elixir can relieve, heal and do all sort or remedy. Just be careful not to take exceeding amounts of it, for it can mutate you to some sort of thing you wouldn't ever wish to be."

"Why? What's with Simon's blood?" Liam asked.

"It's a confidential thing that we should just leave confidential for now. I promise to tell you sometime soon if we'd meet again." Peter answered.

"Eh?" Liam chuckled. "Okay then."

"Ready your things. We'll be heading back. Simon, how about the scientist's? They know about our entry here. What if they report this to King Alexandrov? He'll surely put us in treachery list." I asked, feared of being one of King Alexandrov's enemy. "I've still a lot to know. I can't attain to be a traitor."

"In that case, Alpha. We'll be using an elixir that can tamper their memories." Simon replied, giving me a sense of relief. "Peter has a lot of it in his cabinet."

"I think everything's settled now, Guardians." I sighed. "Simon, Peter, thank you for accommodating us here, for the food, and for the swords you forged for us. We'll act according to what we've planned. Let's all get ready." I declared and everyone moved as I commanded. Simon on the other hand, approached Alexiese and together they walked away from us.

"What was that?" Kylie popped on my side. "What were you looking at there?"

"Nothing. Just saw Alexiese and Simon talking." I replied making her frown.

"Then?" she asked. "What's with that look then?"

"I just felt something off with Simon about Alexiese. Back when I and Simon talked in the Library, he looked at Alexiese meaningfully. And my guts are telling me that there's something Simon aren't telling us."

"You don't trust Simon?"

"I do. It's just—argh. Nevermind." I looked around the other way. "Let's get preparing."

When I was about to check upon everyone, we felt the land shaking.

"What was that?" I shouted.

"Alpha Guardian, maybe that was a quake." Lexxus said.

"No! This undercity never had experienced quakes!" one of the residents said.

"And never did the City of Domes." Johann stated. When realization dawned at me, I hurriedly searched for Simon. I ran towards their Headquarters where I found him, Peter and some scientists cramming and examining what happened.

"Simon! What was that?" I immediately asked. "Why did the ground shakes?"

"Alpha Guardian, you need to hurry and get back to the above ground. Something bad had happened." He announced. "We still can't determine exactly what happened, but the source of the quake is above ground." He added.

"How could that be?! What possibly did happen?" I exclaimed.

"To be honest, I think some sort of meteorite landed in one of the domes. That's the highest possibly that will result to a quake." He stopped for a moment and was looking for something in his satchel. "Here. It's a copy of the blueprint of all the undercity still explorable now. Entry, exit points and secret tunnelways. The one you dug up is here." He pointed some point in the map.

"But how about the scientist?"

"Just tell Alexandrov you all had a discussion with me. Just don't tell him about the thing I gave to you. Don't worry, if Alexandrov tries to kill you, he'll never succeed because you are Guardians." He reminded me. "Remember this Alpha Guardian, never forget that your duty is to protect the humanity. You have the right to exclude or kill someone you think is a threat on what you are protecting. You are the Alpha; you are the leader of the new generation of protectors. Only you. Prophecy can be possibly changed, only if you want to change it." He said before he hurriedly talked over his henchmen's to throw command on how they will control and assess the situation. The undercity might be in danger because of the quake.

WE GET BACK aboveground using the map Simon gave to me. Charles, on the other hand, was forced to drink the elixir Simon also had given us to delete his memories about the undercity. The other Guardians promised never to tell any word about the location of the undercity nor how to enter it. And if ever King Alexandrov asks us about it, which he will probably do, only I can answer him. Simon's right, I am the Leader of the new protectors. Humanity do include Simon and his undercity.

As soon as we arrived the Palace, Commander Brick told us to head towards the Kings office. On the other hand, I decided I'll be the only one to explain the King what happened below while the others will be gathering information about the quake.

"So are you telling me that you had a conversation with Simon? But you didn't capture him?" he asked in a stoic manner.

"Your majesty, Simon isn't a threat nor a traitor. He only wanted to protect his city." I explained.

"I DIDN'T SUMMON YOU THERE TO BE DIPLOMATS!" he exclaimed. "I SUMMONED YOU THERE TO BE AN ACCOMPANY UNIT FOR THE MISSION MY SCIENTISTS!"

"Your Majesty, we as guardians, are protectors. Not killers. Any unjustified act towards anyone would be a shame in the name of us. But as part of the Raven Legion, we ask apology about the matter. But we'll never regret what we did." I respectfully replied.

"I will consult my advisors about this for now, Guardian. For now, I summon your unit to assess the damage on dome 2. A meteorite landed there, a report was told that until now the landing site is still full of fire and they need help to examine that. Dome 4 is currently on lockdown, therefore only authorize personnel can enter the site." He sighed. "Dismiss." He said before leaving the room. Minutes later I also left the room after him, heading towards our exclusive base nearby.

As soon as I entered the base, Guardians eyes were all on me.

"What did he say?" Michael started.

"We are summoned to examine the landing site of the Meteorite. And well, help to fix the damage there." I replied.

"That's all?" Kylie asked. A bit surprised.

"He was mad, yes. But he said he'll be asking his advisors for proper action towards the matter." I added.

"Then let's all prepare, 5 minutes to prepare things. Move everyone." I commanded. I then walked to Alexiese and I's barracks to prepare. While Alexiese is preparing his things, wearing his armor suit, his sword bag, and checking the sword Peter gave us, everything came spinning around me.

When the fallen angels start to appear falling from the skies,

When everyone will be clouded with their own misery,

The skies will lit up one of each day,

While the people is on the dawn of darkness.

They will never see the beauty of light again.

For God has punished them and summoned his Black angels.

The angels of Death and the Angels of misery.

The land will be washed using their blood.

And the land will achieve the purity they've always wished.

Prophecy had already been written.

Soon all of you will be actors who'll finish the Chronicles.

"Solem? Are you okay?" Alexiese tapped me. "Hey."

Then the domes started to be filled with anonymous screams.

"What the hell is happening?!" He shouted. "Argh. Ahh." But only his voice is all I can recognize. My eyes were blurry and my mind were filled with images I can't recall as my memories.

"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" I scream nearby, followed by another and another then another. Voices are begging, screaming, crying.

"Argghhh. A-Alexiese?" I tried to look for him, finding shadows of him through my blurred vision. "A-Ahh... Are you o-okay? Hgnhgnn..." I said while grunting because of the pain in my head.

"S-Solem..." he whispered, "Solemmmmm..." his calling, his voice echoing, while everything seems to decrease their volume 'til there's nothing I'm hearing. No shouts. Everything in empty black.

"Solem." A woman voice whispered. I turned to look if that was really her voice.

"N-Nooo... I must be hallucinating or dreaming." I shook my head, opened my eyes again but still I see her.

"It's me, my Solem. Come closer." He extends her arm to me. Her voice soothing as ever.

"A-are you real?" I asked. Afraid admitting to myself that she's just part of my own hallucination.

"Come here, my baby. I missed you..." she whispered. From that moment, I fell on my knees as tears started to swell off my eyes.

"Mom..." I cried.

Alexiese Morgann Ce' Vieze POV

"SOLEM!" her body dropped on the floor. I rush to her even through the pang pain I'm feeling in my head. The domes are now filled with screams. Our base was now filled with grunts and shouts. I tried connecting with the other guardians but their receivers are blocked.

'Alexiese...' whispered by a voice. 'My big boy...' she
