I started walking out of the room, putting on my shoes as I went out the door. I wandered down the hallway, until I reached the stairs. I headed down, going outside and opening the front door of the hotel. I stepped inside, and began walking to the cafeteria.

"HIRANO!!!" Someone yelled, running over to me. I turned in their direction, realizing it was Kawata.

"H- hey, what is it?" I asked. He stared at me for a moment, sweat rolling down his face as he shifted nervously. He took a deep breath.

"I think I know who ransacked your room." He responded. I stared at him for a moment.

"You do?" I replied. He nodded vigorously.

"Let's go get some breakfast first. And then I'll tell you everything." He said. I stared at him for a moment, sighing and walking with him to the cafeteria doors.

"Hey Hirano! Did you find out if you could help us out or not?" Naito asked, a smile on her face. I adjusted my glasses briefly, walking over to one of the chairs and sitting down.

"O- oh... I can't. S- sorry." I replied. Scratching the back of my head.

"Um, h- hey. C- could I help you guys out today?" Arima asked, Miyazaki side eying him and then looking away.

"Oh! Of course! We were actually gonna ask if anyone wanted to help us out today. Tengan seemed really insistent about it." Naito said, a smile on her face. Tengan glanced at her, before looking back to the room.

"That room is not a two man job. Trust me." She explained.

"Hey, not that I really care about any drama going on between any of you guys, but what did you ask Miyazaki about yesterday Arima? You said you were going to talk with her about something, and now she's acting all bitchy!" Sugai laughed. Miyazaki stood up, and wandered out of the room, Arima having sweat roll down his face as he nervously twiddled his thumbs. "Oh! So it really was some sort of spicy topic? Now I've GOT to hear the details-" Kajiwara quickly covered Sugai's mouth with his hand. The angry gremlin began fighting to get the hand away. Suddenly, he took a piece of duct tape and placed it over his mouth, before moving his palms back down to his sides.

"I'm getting tired of your chaos." Kajiwara replied, as Sugai began to grab at the tape but was unable to pull it off of his face.

"How are you this morning Kawata? You were asleep for quite a long time." Otani said, walking over and placing a stack of waffles in the center of the table.

"Oh, yeah. I just didn't get a lot of sleep the night before." He replied, instinctively grabbing a waffle and placing it onto the plate he had out in front of him.

"And why's that?" Yamazaki snapped through the silence, making his presence, which had seemingly absent before hand, completely known. Kawata glared at Yamazaki angrily, as he poured a small bit of syrup onto the waffle and took a huge bite.

"I'm trying to figure a way out of here with the clues we've found already. There's no rest when finding the exit could save all our lives." Kawata replied, still staring at Yamazaki with an angry look in his eyes. I paused for a moment, before something came to mind.

"Oh! H- hey, Naito, how was the picture you wanted Yamazaki to take?" I said. Naito suddenly lost her smile, being replaced by a blank frown. In silence, she took a photo out of her pocket and slid it across the table to me.

I picked up the photo, and stared at it with shocked eyes. The picture was completely blurry. It was hard to even tell that there was anything but random blotches of color. I'd probably be able to take a better photo if I dropped the camera on the floor and let it do the rest of the work. I looked up to Yamazaki, who rolled his eyes.

"Y- you took this?" I asked, holding it out in front of me. He looked to the three of us, before returning his gaze to the picture. He glared at it for a moment, before shrugging his shoulders without another thought.

"I really can't bother to help you guys out with that kind of stupid shit." He replied. Sugai finally ripped the piece of tape off of his mouth.

"Aaaaawwww, do you have something better to do than stop yourself from being a suspect? Because you're not really helping your reputation by not helping our group in anyway!" Sugai laughed. The room was silent for a moment, as Yamazaki stared at Sugai and then turned to Kajiwara.

"Why aren't you stopping him from saying this shit!?" He asked, angrily.

"I don't see anything incorrect about what he said." Kajiwara replied, his eyes closed. Yamazaki glared at him, before scoffing and turning away.

"I am not happy..." someone mumbled.

"We can tell. If you're going to be a brooding bitch then can you do it somewhere else?" Kawata replied calmly, a slight look of irritation on his face, as if he'd been testing his patience long enough. Yamazaki turned his head to glare at him.

"I didn't fucking say that." He responded. Suddenly, out of the blue, Ressa appeared on the table, his face filled with an angry fury.

"I am not happy!" He yelled, before stomping down on the strong wooden table.

"What is it now..." Tengan asked through an angry sigh.

"THERE'S BEEN NO KILLING!!!" Ressa yelled, stomping even harder with one on the table, making the whole thing shake. "Do you know how peeved that makes me!? I need entertainment! And you guys aren't fucking giving it to me!" He screamed. Suddenly, he pulled out the claws. "If someone doesn't kill soon, these are going straight through your chest and I'm pulling out your hearts!"

"We don't have multiple hearts nitwit!" Sugai chuckled. Ressa paused for a moment, before his claws suddenly retracted.

"Oh yeah! Sugai! I had something I wanted to mention." Ressa laughed. "I finally understand!"

"Huh?" He replied, completely confused.

"I finally understand what you meant!" The red panda laughed. "Ressa-P! Like a recipe in cooking! Like at Christmas time.... when the snow looks like stars in the sky... and you sit by the fire... and you give a present to a child who just so happens to be an orphan... and inside is the brains of their parents and the cherry pie is filled with their hearts!"

"No... that would taste horrible..." Otani said, his jaw agape, seeming more upset about the thought of the taste than the orphan and dead parents comment. Maybe it just didn't register?

"I- I'm a little c- concerned that that's what you th- thought of first..." Arima replied. Sugai stared at Ressa for a moment, before shaking his head back and forth in disapproval.

"That ship has already sailed Ressa." Sugai responded.

"Dammit! Another adolescent joke I don't understand!" He yelled. Ressa paused for a moment. "Oh yeah, everyone, the coupons are still allowed to be used. And I'm still going to say this; I know that at least one of you is planning to murder... so hurry up before I lose my patience and I end up making the traitor the blackened!" He yelled. I paused for a moment, unable to get the words out of my head. They're going to kill?

"There's... a traitor?" Naito asked.

"Are you stupid!? Of course there's a traitor! You guys already knew that you nincompoops! It's obvious!" Ressa said. "So hurry up and kill! Maybe kill the traitor!? Maybe kill your friend!? Kill your friend!? Kill your side chick!? Kill the idiots who try and go solo!? I don't know just hurry up! You're all testing my patience! Someone is going to be a blackened this week whether you like it or not!" He yelled, before disappearing. The room fell completely silent.

"Well... at least we're getting to him." Kawata said, chuckling nervously.

"Nah, he's just an idiot." Sugai replied, swiftly reaching for a waffle and snatching it off of the stack.

"Y- you know... I- I'm a bit worried... d- do you think th- the others are safe? W- we haven't s- seen them in a- awhile and... I- it's scary to think they m- might've been killed..." Arima stuttered.

"Or become the killer." Tengan responded, slowly taking a bite of the waffle, as if she was scared that at any moment it would attack her.

"Well... maybe we could go check on them later? Just to make sure that they're okay." Naito said, a small smile on her face. I thought to myself, as the door of the dining hall opened and then closed. Even if we tried to check up on them, would they even talk to us? Imamura maybe, but I have a feeling that Taguchi wouldn't.

"Hey, Hirano, come with me." Kawata said, snapping me out of my trance. Quickly, I followed him out of the room, only now realizing what was happening. We were following the person who'd just left the room. They stopped, looking back at us.

"What do you guys want?" Yamazaki asked, angrily glaring at the two of us.

"Yamazaki, did you go into Hirano's room the other night?" Kawata replied, looking right back into his eyes with anger. The realization hit me. Kawata thought that Yamazaki was the culprit. The one who raided my room and caused the whole situation. Yamazaki stared at the two of us for a moment.

"Yeah." He responded. Kawata's eyes went wide.

"Wow, I didn't think it would be that easy..." he replied. He shook his head back and forth, before looking right back at him. "Why would you do that!? Her room is absolutely destroyed!" He yelled. Yamazaki stared at us with one of his eyebrows raised.

"Destroyed?" He replied skeptically. Kawata seemed to get angrier. Quickly, I placed my hand on his shoulder.

"H- hey, Kawata, I- I don't think-" I began, before Kawata pulled away, pointing a finger directly at Yamazaki's face.

"Don't act like you don't know what you did! The room has been absolutely decimated! That can't be an accident!" Kawata yelled. Yamazaki glared at him angrily for a moment, as Kawata started to rant. Suddenly, he cut him off with a finger raise.

"I wanna get this straight. Just because I went into Hirano's room once, you assume that I completely ransacked the thing?" He asked. Kawata nodded vigorously, not backing down. Yamazaki took a long groan, placing his thumb and pointer finger and squeezing it around the connecting line of his eyes. "Alright, I guess I have to dispute that..."

"Dispute?" Kawata replied, completely confused.

"First! I wouldn't want to destroy Hirano's room. There are other things you can do to intimidate people, that would depend on a lot less going right for me. Second, since I went into Hirano's room, the only thing destroying the room would do is cause fear, but also cover up a stolen item, which I can assure you I have not, unless there was something that was stolen, which means there's a different culprit because I don't have it. Third, the only thing I went in there to do is find out if little miss tutor just so happened to be the horrible person who put us in here, which I still haven't discovered because this fucking mastermind is VERY secretive. Finally, I've been in everyone's room, so the fact I went into Hirano's is completely irrelevant." He explained, being straight to the point. I doubted that last part a bit.

"Th- that's an invasion of privacy-" I began.

"OH MY GOD I GET IT!!! I KNOW it's an invasion of privacy! But no one seemed to care when I went into Sazama's room to help uncover that she was a MURDERER!!! It would be even better if I walked into a room and found out that secretly, oh, I don't know, THEY WERE THE MASTERMIND WAS!!!" Yamazaki yelled, losing his patience as his hands balled up into fists.

"You're not allowed to search a residential space without probable cause or a search warrant." Kawata replied, sounding extra serious. "Also, all of your points can be proven false! And are completely contradictory of each other!"

"Fucking cop speech..." Yamazaki said, before his head away in anger. Kawata glared at him, losing the last bit of patience he had left in him.

"Alright, I'm gonna have to take you to my ultimate lab." Kawata replied, taking the handcuffs off of his belt. It was so fast, I hadn't even realized what happened until moments later. I saw the blood run down Kawata's face, as Yamazaki's fist collided with with his nose. Suddenly, before my eyes, I watched the two of them scuffle on the floor, blood flying everywhere.

"G- GUYS!!!" I yelled, fear striking my heart, as I watched them roll around in a struggle. I stood frozen, before quickly racing over and began pushing them apart. I wasn't able to keep up with the two of them, being shoved back. I wasn't strong enough to fight, or even stop one that was right in front of me. I quickly sprinted off, racing over to the cafeteria. I ran inside, sweat running down my face. The majority of the people of the people had already left, with only a few people being inside. Otani, Kajiwara and Sugai.

"Hirano, are you okay? You seem distressed..." Otani asked. I took deep breaths, fretting ready to speak.

"Th- there's a fight! A- and I need some h- help to break it up!" I said. Kajiwara immediately jumped up from where he was sitting, and ran out of the room.

"Oh this is something I gotta see!" Sugai replied, racing after Kajiwara. Otani and I quickly followed behind, sprinting down the hallway to where Kawata and Yamazaki's scuffle had taken place. The two were still fighting, a pool of blood having formed itself on the ground. Quickly, Kajiwara grabbed Yamazaki off of him, and pulled him away. I stared at the scene for a moment, my eyes filled with fear. Otani quickly pulled Kawata to the wall, who's face was swollen and had blood rushing out of his nose. He only seemed half conscious, his eyes barely open.

"Otani, can you pick up Kawata?" Kajiwara asked. Otani nodded, pulling Kawata up onto his back. Kajiwara gripped tightly onto Yamazaki's wrist, and began speed walking. Sugai and I followed close behind. I was finally able to see Yamazaki's face, which was also covered in bruises, and there even seemed to be a long cut on his cheek.

"Man, I wish I had my phone..." Sugai said.

"Huh?" I replied. Sugai chuckled a bit.

"It's not everyday that you see a fight! Well... I guess it is when you're in high school, but Yuutsumi doesn't get any fights! If I got a video of the only fight at Yuutsumi, well, I'd probably be famous..." he laughed. I stared at him for a moment, a look of disgust and confusion on my face. Wasn't he already famous? Also, why would you ever want to record a fight? Wouldn't you want to make sure you didn't get hurt yourself?

"Sugai, don't say things like that." Kajiwara replied. Sugai raised his arms up, a look on his face of pure confusion, anger and despair. Sugai dropped his arms, angrily stomping along as he followed behind them.

Finally, we reached the hospital. Otani, Sugai and I sat in the lobby area, Kajiwara in one of the rooms taking care of the two. I felt my body shaking, as I stared at the floor. What is the fight had caused the one of them to die? I could've stopped it. I was right there. I just didn't have the strength to speak up. It was all my fault. They were going to die and it was all my-

"Hirano, is something wrong?" Otani asked. My eyes darted up to look directly at him.

"O- oh... n- no I'm alright..." I responded, moving a bit of my hair behind my ear nervously, shifting my eyes to stare at the floor.

"Don't worry Hirano, everything's gonna be alright." Sugai replied, staring at the ceiling while shifting his legs from crisscrossed to down.

"Y- you don't know that..." I responded. Sugai laughed a bit, before sitting forward, resting his hands on his knees.

"Well, yeah, I don't really know that, but I've got faith that Kajiwara will fix em up. I mean, I've seen talent, but I haven't seen anyone with THAT much talent!" Sugai giggled.

"So you do care about Kajiwara." Otani replied, a smile on his face. One that already knew that fact.  Sugai glared at Otani, obviously upset.

"Nuh uh! Caring about people is for twerps! Not pro pranksters like me!" Sugai responded, standing up onto the couch and making some sort of super hero pose. I felt a small smile crawl across my face.

"But your talent is the critic, right?" I giggled. Sugai's face immediately turned to me, changing from a victorious smile to a peeved glare.

"You just wait... I'll create the biggest and best prank in the world and then everyone will see that they were wrong! Wrong to call me a critic! Wrong to tell me that I was only a person who could ruin peoples businesses by judging them, but no! I can destroy their businesses literally! Then they'll see that the label they applied to me was incorrect! I am Sugai Tatsuo! The ultimate Critic, soon to be ultimate prankster at Yuutsumi Academy and I will not back down!" Sugai announced triumphantly, as if he was giving a magnificent speech.

"I- I'm a bit concerned..." I replied, staring blankly into space. "A- also... wouldn't that take a long time?" Sugai thought to himself for a moment.

"Yeah... you're right... that kind of prank would take awhile to set up and come up with..." He responded. I sighed in relief. All I wanted to do was stop him from making a huge mistake. Sugai paused, before a devious smile came across his face. "That's why I have to start now! So I can complete it as soon as possible!" He yelled, jumping down from the couch and racing down the hallway.

"W- WAIT SUGAI THAT'S NOT WHAT I-" I yelled, watching as he ran around the corner. "... meant..." I paused for a moment, looking to Otani with a small nervous smile.

"I don't think he'll ever be able to do that." Otani said. I stared at him for a moment, confused. He chuckled a bit. "Well, I just don't think he can change is talent after it's been selected. I definitely believe he could perform a very big disaster, with him being a rich kid and all, but you can't change your talent after Yuutsumi has already assigned it." He replied. I nodded.

"I- it's kind of scary to think that Sugai has enough money to do so many things..." I responded, chuckling nervously. The room fell silent, leaving the aura with an awkward feeling.

I lost track of time for awhile. I know that Kajiwara is a very talented surgeon, but the thoughts kept getting to me. What if I was the cause of their deaths? What if that made me the blackened!? And then I get executed!? So many thoughts raced through my head. What if they placed me down in a chair, with a bunch of books and then strapped a bomb to my back and blew me up!? Or maybe they'd burn me alive!? Maybe they'd crush my skull with a hammer!? What if I was shot!? WHAT IF THEY-

"Hirano, are you okay?" Otani asked. I hadn't even realized it until he'd snapped me out of my trance, but I was hyperventilating and my face was covered in sweat. My body had run cold and I was shaking so much it was hard to even tell I wasn't trying to move.

"Y- yeah... I- I'm just..." I paused for a moment. "I- I'm scared..." Otani stared at me for a moment, before a small smile came across his face.

"I'm scared too..." he replied. I shook my head back and forth.

"N- no, you don't u- understand, I- it's like a piercing h- heart attack and I can't g- get it out of my head a- and I..." I began, before grabbing at my stomach, wincing in pain as tears appeared at the edges of my eyes. "I... I don't... want... to be scared anymore..." Otani looked at the ground for a moment, before turning back to me.

"I entirely understand Hirano. It may not seem like it, but I'm terrified. Every moment could be my last and it invades my mind." He replied, a sympathetic smile on his face. "I don't know if that's the same reason you're afraid, but everyone has their own fears." He paused. "I know... that I'm not the strongest person here. I could be killed at any moment. And...
