"Do I have to repeat my words, Painter?" the soldier said.

His gun had not wavered from the direction he held it in for the past minute. Taylors eyes were glaring it down as if it was empty, as if she was unafraid of dying.

"I said let the kids go!" the soldier said and the gun fired, hitting Taylor in the right shoulder causing her to scream out loud. She stumbled into her chair as her screams grew but she forced her left hand to press a button on the controls and the students were freed from their restraints.

"Perfect" the soldier said, "You kids stay back while I handle this. Understand?!"

His voice was very commanding and fierce. With a gun still in his hands the students were not hesitant to obey so they ran to the side wall quickly.

"Curse you, asshole!" Taylor said as she held onto her shoulder.

The soldier lifted his left hand towards the other soldier beside him and tore away the earpiece around the man's ear. He repeated the same action on the other soldier then threw the devices at the ground before stepping on them.

"W-what exactly is going on?" Lexi said.

Jacob looked over to the soldier, "It would seem Taylors been mind controlling the soldiers. Remember when the letter from that Jerry person mentioned armies? I have a sneaking suspicion he meant armies from the army themselves."

Jacob then faced Taylor, unable to hold back a small smile from seeing her in pain, "So what exactly did you do? Interfere with their brain physically or what?"

Taylor let out a large smile and started standing up as she took out two items from her pockets. She dropped them to the ground and they started growing into two versions of Monokuma, the students and soldiers eyes widening as they noticed Taylor running for the entrance of the room. The soldier aimed for her with his pistol but the Monokuma's began running at him with their paws covered in spikes so he redirected his aim and shot twice into each of their heads causing them to fall to the ground in pieces of scrap.

The soldier then put his gun away in his holster and took a look at the kids, "How long have you all been here?"

They were all hesitant at first but finally Simon spoke, "J-Just under two weeks we believe."

The soldiers eyes widened as he stepped forward, "Two weeks? Holy hell!"

Outstretching his hand, the soldier smiled towards all six students on the wall, "My name is Miles, I was requested by two people higher in the military who sadly now find themselves dead. I will get out of here I promise."

The students let out a smile in relief. Finally they could get out, finally they had help.

The longer they looked at Miles, however, they more they realized his eyes and their black surrounding color.

"Um, sir" Lexi said, "You look sleepy..."

Miles rubbed his eyes gently before smiling, "I have been here without sleep for days, but I'm used to it. It won't stop me I promise."

"There's a chair over there" Simon said as he pointed to the leather chair Taylor had been seated upon, "Take a rest for now."

Miles grew hesitant but he soon accepted the offer and sat down as to relax his body.

"So Taylor ran away, hm?" Marco said as he held his arms crossed against his chest.

"I didn't mean for that to happen, but I promise we will catch her" Miles said.

"That bitch kept us here for weeks, what was she even trying to do?!" Abby said.

Carlos spoke up in a low tone, "She was making us rewatch our friends deaths, you idiot..."

Everyone grew silent as Jacob began walking around the room bit by bit trying to ignore the conversation as much as possible. Everyone shared looks at Jacob but they didn't speak, they just averted their gaze.

"What's wrong with him?" Miles said as he looked towards Jacob.

No one answered him at first, but gradually Lexi forced her voice to speak.

"T-that girl was forcing us to kill each other, and he fell to her orders..."

Miles eyes widened as he stood up and gripped his gun on instinct but he didn't draw it.

"If you're going to shoot me, soldier, get it over with. I honestly don't care what you do or say, I just want to get everyone out of here."

Miles hesitantly let his grip on his gun go and sat back down on the chair, "When we do get out of here, I will have to take you in even if you aren't an adult yet. If you did actually kill another that is."

"Actually if you were here for a few days already how didn't you know we were here? Surely you would've overheard Taylor talking to us through that bear right?" Simon said.

"Actually she forced me and the other two to just stay in this room when we first got here."

"How did you even trick her anyway? Surely she'd notice if you weren't actually mind controlled" Marco said.

Miles shrugged, "I simply took the earpiece off an unconscious soldier after one of the bases were attacked and blended in. I could still hear Taylors voice through the communicator but I suppose since my brain hadn't been affected like the others, I still had control. Either way I chose to obey to blend in, and when she chose three of us to come with her here I was luckily chosen."

"Meaning she knew you were pretending" Jacob said as he walked down the room towards the back wall.

"What?" Miles said.

Jacob lowered his head and turned around to face him, "I have no idea how many soldiers there were in total but the chances she picks the one who's pretending is pretty low, she knew you were pretending meaning what we're doing now is exactly as she planned. She is right, it does hurt to be wrong."

Miles grew hesitant but chose to not answer as he looked at the controls to his right. "Does anyone know what these buttons do?"

Marco took a close look at them, his eyes widening in surprise.

"Half of them don't have words to describe them, but it seems this one does."

He pushed a finger onto a yellow button that had some writing engraved into the wall above it reading 'DOME RELEASE.'

A few seconds later there was a loud sound of something shifting and everyone except Jacob ran out of the entrance to see the top of the Dome opening outwards as the walls themselves sunk into the ground.

"Is that glass flexible?!" Miles said, "It shouldn't be able to open like that."

"This girl is crazy, trust me that's the least surprising thing she's done" Simon said.

The dome sunk completely into the ground, their path into the school grounds open again but only Miles chose to venture inwards.

"I mean, it wouldn't hurt to look over it again right?" Carlos said.

Everyone shared looks, their heads turning back to Jacob who was examining the back wall, then they nodded and ran towards the Academy.

"This wall" Jacob said as he took out his PAL and used the light on the screen to try and see the engravings over it properly.

The wall was large, the metal looking solid enough to hold for years, but the wall itself had engravings of circles. There five circles all together, three on the top and two on the bottom, all having their own number in the centre. The three circles on the top read numbers one, two and three, while the bottom two circles read four and five.

"Wait, these are very similar to-" Jacob said.

"That was fast" a voice said.

Jacob didn't turn around, he knew immediately it was Adam's voice from before.

"But you could be right, they're same size as the tables in the dining hall, what is the bet that's why there are numbers on the bottom of the tables too, hm?"

Adam's face then shifted, his eyes narrowed and his smile stretched out more, "But how are you going to sneak those tables without anyone noticing hm?"

Jacob turned to face the boy, a strange aura seeming to surround him, an aura of darkness.

"What are you talking about? They're coming with me."

"Are they now? Didn't you kill me so you could escape alone, isn't that what you still want to do?"

Jacob looked off to the side as Adam let out a laugh, his hands holding his waist.

"Of course that's still what you want! After all, who wants those kids. We've got two bitches who hate you and would gladly love soldier guy take you in cuffs, maybe even damage your body beyond repair. Then there's mister Marco the puncher who would even hurt your body personally while Simon and Carlos do nothing but warm the bench as they watch."

Jacob clenched his fists tightly as he turned back to the wall, attempting to ignore the voice.

"You can't ignore me, Jacob" Adam said as he rose up from in front of Jacobs face, his face inches away from Jacobs, "After all, you can't ignore the thoughts going through your own head. Give them up! Take the tables while they are in the academy then leave and trap them in here!"

Jacobs nails struck the skin of his palm hard, blood oozing out lightly and he attempted to punch Adam but his fist stopped, Adam's right hand somehow having caught it before it made contact. Jacob knew that was impossible, it was his own mind stopping his actions, but he couldn't move his hand further.

"Having doubts about what to do? Why are you struggling, exactly. You know it very well that you don't count them as friends anymore. After all, you were going to kill them all so you could escape, isn't that right?"

Jacobs hand lowered itself down to his side, his face hiding the frown covered his face right now.

"They are my friends, no matter what" he said.

Adam's smile grew, "Friends? Marco nearly choked you to death, Lexi slapped you, and the other three just watched! Well Abby did stop Marco but probably only because she wants you to die painfully."

"I deserved it! It's not their fault! The least I can do is help them get out of here."

Adam let out a sigh and his smile dropped, his eyes looking directly at Jacob, "Well good luck then. I hope you know what you're doing."

The boy disappeared from Jacob's sigh, Jacob standing there for a few seconds before letting his legs loosen out, "I hope so too, mate. I really do."

He turned to the entrance and began running around the podium of chairs and out towards the Academy.

The dining room was the only place he needed, and thankfully he found Marco and Abby inside. They weren't sitting down at the tables like everyone usually had been while trapped in this place, they were checking each of the rooms. Jacob couldn't tell for what reason.

Jacob got to Marco's side and went to tap his shoulder but decided not to and instead coughed to try and get his attention. Marco turned, his movement slow and hesitant but as he stared down at Jacob, Jacob could see the anger in his eye.

"What the hell do you want?" Marco said.

Jacob took a second to catch his breath, his eyes averting to the side before he stared towards Jacob and spoke, "I understand your hate, but I need your help. Please?"

Jacob began explaining the back wall having the circles engraved into them and how the tables here still had numbers over them, then to his happiness Marco agreed.

"If everyone can get out then fine I'll help" Marco had said before they began taking the tables two by two into the room with the circle engravings.

"Do you really think things will go well when you get outside?" Adam said as Jacob ran back to the dining hall for the fifth and last table.

"I really don't know" Jacob said, "All I care about is doing what I started, getting everyone out of here. Unlike me, they're innocent."

"You were innocent until you did something stupid, and all you have to blame-."

"Is myself, I know that" Jacob said as he picked up the last table, his eyes noticing Marco in the doorway who must've wanted to get it himself.

Jacob turned to the figure of Adam who was standing near the doorway of the kitchen.

"You can go now, I don't need you talking anymore. I've made my choice and that choice is to get everyone out and make sure they get home."

Adam stared at Jacob as the boy began walking for the dormitory doors, Marco stepping aside as he stepped out with the table, then as Jacob turned back to look inside he noticed Adam was gone once again, and for the last time.

"So these tables are keys?" Lexi said as she stared at the five tables placed in front of the back wall.

"I think so, it's the only thing that makes sense to me" Jacob said.

He lifted one of the tables and read the number underneath. It read the number 8. Jacob looked at another table, it read 125. The next table read the number 1 and the last table read the number 16.

"It's a math puzzle" Jacob said.

"What?" Simon said.

"The numbers on the wall make a specific number which can be found on the tables if multiplied right. For example, the table with the one can only be a one since naturally it reads one."

Jacob lifted the table with the one underneath and brought it close to circle with the number one engraved in the centre. It was pushed inside but Jacob felt it was still loose so he didn't let go as a light grew from inside the circle in the wall. It shined blue as it seemed to scan the table, then a blue light shined as if to confirm it was the right one but the other four circles shined red. Jacob pulled the table back out of the wall and placed it back on the floor.

"What happened?" Miles said.

Jacob took a look at the numbers on the wall again, "I think we need to put them all in at the same time. Meaning we need five people to hold the tables."

Abby, Marco, Simon and Lexi stepped forward immediately, "Just give us a table and tell us where to put it" Simon said.

Jacob began reading the numbers again and passed the table reading 125 to Marco, "This is most likely for the number 5 circle."

He then handed the table reading 8 to Lexi, "Most likely the number 2 circle. If it's wrong then it's the number 4 circle."

The table reading 16 was then handed to Abby, "Just like Lexi this could be the number 2 circle but it's most likely the number four."

The two girls and Marco moved to their specific places as Simon was handed the number 9 table, "That's for the number three circle, and this table I've got is for the number one. We should be good."

They each held their own table towards the circle before them and at once the tables fitted into place, the light underneath scanning each table for a good few seconds. The green light turned blue on all five circles and without warning the tables were pulled into the wall as if they'd been made of plastic, their figure sucked into the cracks of the wall in a second followed by a loud sound of movement.

The wall before them began shining light from its centre, the room they were in trembling like an earthquake but no one moved. They looked at one another, smiles growing on their faces as they looked at the wall to see it slowly move side by side, the light in the centre growing and filling the room until the wall had moved far enough for the everyone's eyes to adapt to the light.

The walls stopped moving and the trembling stopped, everyone looking out the new entrance to see trees, lots of them filling the area outside. They had vines over their trunks and leaves, and the threes themselves were much larger than the students were used to.

"Are we in some kind of jungle?" Simon said.

Miles gave off a nod as he began walking outside without a problem, stepping onto the firm ground as he looked around before taking a radio from his pocket and pulling the antenna up. His finger hit the button on the side as he spoke in.

"Miles Caldwin, military number 10843, reporting in and seeking help. Does anyone copy?"

The students slowly stepped out of the room they were in, their feet meeting with the land at the feet while they smiled proudly.

"We did it" Lexi said.

Without questioning her actions she embraced Jacob tightly out of happiness, her arms tightening but the boy didn't return the action, he looked down at her with sadness. She looked up at him and as if she hadn't meant to do what she did she stepped back and looked away.

"Sorry.." Jacob found himself saying.

They all kept quiet for a little while until Miles repeated his seek for help into his radio, this time finding an answer.

"Hello Miles Caldwin, we only just picked up your call. Where are you right now?"

"We're in a forest area, there should be a large building seeable through the trees but I am unable to find my exact coordinates right now" Miles said.

There was no response for a while but it didn't last long, "We see the building. There is a clearing north of it, around 300 meters distance. Can you get there?"

Miles confirmed this with the girl on the other side and slid his radio into a slot on his chest that was connected to his shirt before turning to the students, "Are you up for a walk?"

"If it means getting out of here then yes" Carlos said immediately.

Everyone nodded in agreement and began following Miles through the swarm of trees.

The clearing they arrived at was the end of the forest and the start of the ocean shore. In front of the trees was a large helicopter that had its propellers still going as it was ready to lift off, and outside of it was a girl in military clothing who walked up to Miles once she saw him and the students come from the forest.

"So you've been missing for days now, where were you?" the girl said, obviously knowing

"I've been getting close to the target, thank you. Bloody bitch got away. However it seemed she had hostages, these kids were there for a couple of weeks."

The girl looked across at the six students who were behind Miles, five of them huddled together with Jacob off to the side. "Well we've got space," she said, "Get on and we'll head off alright?"

She got to her seat in the passenger part of the front of the helicopter as Miles opened the door to the side of the helicopter, the kids jumping in as fast as possible. Miles jumped in last and as the doors closed the helicopter began lifting off.

"We actually did it" Abby said, "We got out."

"I wouldn't be happy if I were you" Jacob said, "The only reason we escaped that dome is because that girl wanted us to see her. She was smart. If we escaped then she must have something planned."

"Oh shut up" Simon said, "we are out and can go home, maybe even live a normal life! Stop ruining it."

Jacob stared off at the window on the left door of the helicopter, "I'm only saying the obvious. Don't let us escaping get to us, we still haven't seen what she plans to do with her army."

Miles didn't care to comment on his talk, he kept his face attentive to his front and patiently waited as the helicopter flew through the air for its destination.

"So where is this helicopter heading?" Marco said to Miles.

Miles shrugged, "wherever it's going it's most likely a military zone so we'll be able to get some help there I promise."

"T-thank you sir" Lexi said.

Miles grinned, "You're very welcome, I'll try my best to see you're cared for alright?"

Everyone gave him a soft nod except for Jacob who continued to stare out the window in silence as he stared at the water below them.

The helicopter took two hours to reach its destination, they landed as the sky was dark signaling it was after seven PM most likely. The doors opened from Miles hands as he stepped out and looked around while the girl in the front and the pilot himself jumped out of their seats but instead
