"Thanks for joining me" Jacob said.

He stood in front of the five tables among the dining area, a position he was commonly used to, and unfortunately everyone's situation was just as common right now. The other students sat down at their individual tables; Abby, Lexi and Adam shared a table, Marco was sitting with Simon, Benedict and Stacey were next to each other with Joy on the same table, and lastly Carlos was sharing a table with Simon which left one table spare.

"It feels small here" Abby said.

"It can't be helped, just try avoiding the thought" Stacey said as she hugged onto Benedict's right arm.

Jacob made a loud cough to get everyone's attention as he bowed his head, then he spoke.

"I know these are not the right words to say, and I should leave this for another time, but with the way things are going I don't particular care to wait."

Jacob took a deep breath and looked at everyone before him one by one, "You all are disappointments right now, I honestly believe that."

The words hit everyone with a surprise, their faces all changed immediately to confusion and disgust as Lexi stood up, "W-wait, what is this about?!"

"I mean I have told everyone to try their best and work together, that even though we are in this situation we should try our best and work as a team, Adam tried to get to everyone too and I commend him for that, but yet here we have missing people. Rachel broke the threat first, she let the weakness get to her and thanks to that Lisa and herself are missing."

"Y-you're blaming weakness!?" Stacey said, her face glaring at Jacob as a tear rolled down her eye.

"Weakness can be beaten!" Jacob said.

"Then are you saying Frankie and Joseph should've been more manly, because that's what you are getting at right, you are calling them pussy's?"

Jacob didn't respond, he simply let out a growl of disappointment.

"What about Marcus then, are you blaming him for trying to help us?!" Lexi said.

"Yeah, he even said he only ended like that because he was close to finding a way out!" Stacey said.

"He went on his own, that was his mistake, I just don't see what can be gained by acting irresponsible in this situation."

Joy stood to her feet and grabbed the table lightly as she let out a growl, "You may be smart, Jacob, but you can't predict human nature, and neither can we. Don't blame people for actions caused by this place, this place is proof we can't control even ourselves."

Jacob met his eyes with Joy but he quickly lowered them as he wiped his forehead, "I-I'm sorry, I know that."

Jacob let out another growl, not as large as the past one though.

"Is that it, is that all you had to say?" Joy said.

Jacob gave off a nod as he kept his eyes down again and so Joy made her way quickly to her room as everyone soon split off themselves.

"Let's go" Stacey said as she held onto Benedict's hand.

Benedict stood to his feet and followed Stacey as his eyes met with Jacob who was raising his eyes slowly but Benedict looked away immediately as he entered Stacey's room, proceeding to lock it after him.

"Jacob's trying too hard I think" Benedict said as he sat down on the bed while Stacey sat next to him, her arms winding around his left arm.

"Don't mind him, it's not bad to help."

"But can't he see that working together won't help?"

Stacey slowly raised her head and wrapped an arm around Benedict's waist, "Maybe after some relaxing times we will feel better to listen, what do you think?"

Benedict looked into Stacey's eyes, his head nodding, "Agreed."

Stacey gave him a small smile and slowly leant her head towards the boy whose cheeks began growing red but he moved his hands over to Stacey's knees, holding her hand between his own and her knees. Stacey met her lips with the boys nice and softly, the two of them closing her eyes and the two began falling on the bed.

It was quiet, and Adam liked it like that. The peaceful sound and the night air as he was alone in his room, but that left immediately as his door opened and Jacob entered.

"Oh, hey" Adam said as he tried sitting up and attempted to hide his annoyance.

Jacob waved but stayed quiet as he closed the door before speaking, "Am I becoming an annoyance to everyone?"

Adam raised an eyebrow, "Why do you think that?"

"No one is listening to me, it's as if no one is knowing our situation, or it's that no one is trusting me."

Adam gave off a sigh as he stood to his feet, "You are trying too hard, Jacob. I don't know you much besides what's happened these past nine days, but you seem to expect your authority to rise over others."

"Well that was a bit rude, but I don't see the problem! We're trapped here" Jacob said but Adam cut him off.

"And we have just watched a friend of ours get k-" Adam said, his voice trailing off at the word but he forced himself to continue, "killed in the most brutal way possible! Not only that, we've forced two of our friends to die because we're saving our skins! Having control just because you think it will be better for us will not make it better for us!"

Jacob let out a growl as his hands slipped into his pants pockets and he turned to his right a small amount. He didn't seem to respond, not even a mutter, instead he opened Adam's door and left the room while quietly closing the door behind him.

Adam stood there for a few seconds as he stared at the door, his gaze slowly lowering to the floor, "Did I speak out of line?"

"Are you feeling any better?" Simon said as he sat on a seat he had pulled up to the side of Marco's hospital bed.

Marco was slightly awake, it seemed he was growing sleepy but he rolled slightly to his side to look at Simon, "Yeah I'm fine, surprisingly Monokuma has done his best to get the bullet out."

"He's the one who did this though, that's odd."

Marco gave off a sigh as he looked up at the roof, "It feels like he's an unorganized psychopath. He does things so randomly and without reason, or at least without proper reason."

Simon leant back on his chair and closed his eyes, "Well I promised Jacob I would look after you so I'll be sleeping her tonight, alright?"

Marco raised his eyebrow slowly, "But the Monokuma rule."

"It explains to not sleep outside of your rooms, but it doesn't say that sleeping in the school building will get you punished. Instead, it says sleeping under the moonlight will get you punished."

There was a slight laugh from around them and Monokuma's face peeked in from the doors, "Smarty pants, bet you haven't had a girlfriend!"

Simon gasped a little as he straightened himself up but he lowered himself down quickly, averting his gaze from Monokuma.

"No fun!" Monokuma said and he immediately left.

"As I said, no reason" Marco said and began pull the beds blanket over him, "I'm going to try sleeping now, good night."

Simon stayed quiet and leant on his left side as he closed his eyes.

DAY 10

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next day went by quietly. Everyone kept to themselves except for a few people such as Benedict and Stacey keeping together even when they needed to take a food trip. Simon frequently left his room to check up on Marcus and when he was back in his room Marcus was visited by Adam most of the time.

Joy, walking in and out of her room frequently in impatient rushes. Carlos and Samuel who were hoarding the dining hall kept noticing her as she walked out because she gave off a dark aura. Samuel had tried asking her if she was alright but was only followed up by her face, wet from crying, pointing in his direction and otherwise silence.

Lexi and Abby couldn't really find the energy to do anything properly and instead they kept shelter in their own individual rooms with their blankets covering their bodies while trying to pass time with sleep.

Lastly, Jacob kept to himself but he chose to spend it in the school building. He transferred from different rooms doing his own type of explorations through each room with the casual break of reading a book but he refused to keep contact with the other students. Even when Joy came to the second floor by herself Jacob ignored her by closing the door to the library once realising she was there.

Thus the day ended without even a proper conversation, and night dropped.

DAY 11

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Silence was the beginning of yet another day, but unlike the past day everyone came out to have breakfast this time. Nothing was said between everyone as they drunk their coffee and eat their toast or cereal, and not much eye contact was made, but when everyone finished no one returned to their rooms.

"This is different" Jacob said as he looked at everyone from a seat he had pulled away so he could be alone to the side.

No one paid him attention except for Adam who, as he looked up from his seat, decided to stand to his feet.

"Are we alright with what has happened now?"

Before Adam could change his words, he was being glared at by Joy, Lexi, Simon and Stacey, even Jacob but he was more tilting his head.

"Those were a bad choice of words."

Adam lowered his head a little as he clenched his hands, "Well it's not like there's a sentence to begin a conversation in this type of event, just try and be reasonable alright?!"

The gazes were removed from Adam's face, and Jacob rested his head back, but no one seemed to respond so Adam sat down on his chair again.

"This was a mistake staying out here" Samuel said, his hand rubbing over his hair and he stood to his feet to begin walking to his room.

Soon after his action was followed by Carlos, Joy, Abby, and Simon who entered their individual rooms, leaving Adam, Benedict, Stacey, Lexi, and Jacob in the dining hall.

"I screwed up there" Adam said as he hid his face in his arms.

Lexi gave out a sigh and hesitantly patted her left arm on his head, "It was a losing battle."

"That doesn't really make it better" Adam said.

"It wasn't really meant to, sorry, I was implying there are moments you just need to give up."

Adam gave out a sigh of his own and stared up at Lexi, "I don't really believe that, everything has a chance of working."

"Then why did it not work then?" Benedict said.

"Because obviously I was not the best person to bring it up! Just, leave me alone."

Adam stood up on his feet and ran for his room, Lexi following immediately and surpassing through his door.

"What are you doing, I want to be alone" Adam said.

Adam sat down on his bed, his hand rubbing over his stomach where the bandage still stayed from the second night here. Lexi remained quiet as she closed the door and instead knelt down on the floor in front of Adam, her hands moving towards Adam's.

"You need to relax. I understand you are trying your best but obviously it's too much."

"If someone doesn't try then something bad is going to happen again. That's worth trying to avoid!"

Adams hands were sweaty and restless as Lexi tried holding them, but she took them firmly and stared into Adam's eyes.

"That may be, but wearing yourself out will not help anyone."

Adam tried pulling his hands away from the girl but she kept her grasp tightly, "So what do you expect me to do then? Wait around patiently and see what happens?"

"It's better than exhausting yourself. If trouble happens, then we can face it."

Adam raised an eyebrow, "We? You're offering to help?"

Lexi move her hands up Adam's arms and around his head as her face pulled itself upwards and closer to Adam's.

"The hero can't fight alone, right?"

Adam went to respond but his mouth was blocked by Lexi's lips as she took his head closely and silenced his words. Her fingers grabbed his hair and his hands slowly made their way to her arms, his fingers dancing down to her waist as to hold her properly before the two separated their faces.

"Well, that was something." Adam said.

Lexi gave off a bright smile as she stood up and sat down on Adam's legs, her arms going around the boys waist before looking into your eyes.

"As I said, be patient about what happens" she said, and her lips met his again.

Jacob had been sitting on his lonely chair for around twenty minutes since Adam had left now, and so he stood to his feet and walked over to the door of Joy's room. He knocked three times and after a while the door opened a tiny amount with Joy's face seen through the crack.

"What is it?" she said.

Jacob gave off a slight sigh as he turned his face away a little, "I just thought I should let you know of the dogs in the third floor."

Joy's face picked itself up a little as she let out slight smile, "D-dogs?"

"Yeah, the animal shelter. I believe it was the first or second room on the third floor, you'll be the best at taking care of them I reckon."

Jacob began walking towards his own room but Joy opened her door the rest of the way and stopped him with her loud voice, "A-and you expect me to go by myself?! I'm not going to risk being a target."

Jacob stopped in his step and tilted his head slightly, his body turned to face Joy, "You are seriously using an excuse like that?"

"I'm serious, at least join me."

"So what, you can be alone with me and try going psycho on me? I'm not taking that risk, it's clearly obvious by now that everyone in this place has gone either full of worry of ear, maybe both. Those two things lead to the same thing."

"What's that exactly?"

"Fighting for their survival, the one thing I don't want to be trapped in the middle of."

Joy puffed her cheeks and turned around to the tables in the dining area til her eyes pinned on Benedict.

"Then how about you and Benedict escort me there?"

Benedict picked his head up at the sound of his name, Stacey's head rising too.

"Do you always get pushy when in fear?" Jacob said as he held his hips with his hands.

"Come off it, three people together is better than just two, right? I'm not going by myself!"

Jacob leant his head back and gave off a last sigh, "Fine. Benedict, are you coming?"

Benedict turned his head back and forth between Stacey and Joy, feeling as if he had no choice.

"I'll be right back alright?"

Stacey let her hand slide from Benedict's and waved goodbye slowly as he joined Jacob while Joy knocked on the door of Samuels door. Samuel opened the door and peeked his head out slowly.

"Yes?" Samuel said.

Joy let out a smile, "We were going to the animal shelter on the third floor, but I think the room with the animal food is locked from the control room, I was hoping you could open the doors since I'm not that great with computers.

"You could ask me, I'm right here!" Jacob said as he eavesdropped.

Joy rolled her eyes and turned her head, "I'm not letting either of you leave my gaze."

Samuel gave a small nod towards Joy and opened his door properly, "I can do that, don't worry. I'll just need to find the right button, simple."

"Fantastic, thank you" Joy said with a smile and with Samuel joining, the four of them left the dormitory.

Samuel separated for the control room on the second floor as Jacob, Benedict and Joy continued to the elevator which took them to the third floor. The animal shelters door opened and the three of them entered, Joy staying to wall on the right side of the door as Jacob leant against a sink on the left side of the doorway which held some bottled soap next to the tap.

Benedict was kneeling down in front of the cages, his gaze staring at the dogs as he rubbed the cages but as the dogs started barking and going to bite at the metal, he pulled back and stood up.

"Are these dogs alright? They seem aggressive."

"Well they are Doberman dogs, that's why they're aggressive, known for protecting their owners. Once they are fed it should be all good though" Joy said.

It was then that the lights started dimming down, and the door leading outside closed shut immediately, causing Joy to squeal a little. The back door opened and the cages of the dogs were pulled upwards, the dogs slowly crawling out with drool coming from their mouth, glistening their teeth. The dogs ganged up on Benedict as Jacobs eyes widened and he jumped on top of the sink as carefully as possible as to make sure it didn't break under him but before he could warn Benedict to take higher ground the dogs attacked. Their teeth bit down on his legs and he fell to the ground screaming for his life as the dogs tore at his flesh repeatedly. Joy climbed to the top of a cage as she screamed out for help, the dogs not noticing either her or Jacob as they cleaned Benedict of the skin over his legs.

From the main door there was a loud knocking, and Samuels voice was heard.

"Fuck! What's going on in there! Guys, can you hear me! I'll get help!"

His footsteps were heard running away as Jacob cursed to himself, his eyes unable to look away and Joy continuing to scream as Benedict was incapable of that anymore. His body had gone into shock and he was shaking back and forth as his mouth drooled, and his eyes were widening.

The dogs began biting into his arms and Benedict let out one last full scream before metal, sharp ended spear like objects shot from the roof and hit down on each of the dogs. Their backs were penetrated through to their stomachs and they let out small howls in pain before dropping the ground, their blood oozing out and mixing with Benedict's blood.

The door finally opened up, but Jacob and Joy were too shocked at the events to even more, but from outside someone came in.

Stacey got to her knees, her eyes seeing Benedict immediately when the doors had opened and she tried picking him up in her arms but no matter how much she hoped it to be a lie, it was true.

Benedict was dead.
