12 HOURS BEFORE THE CLASS TRIAL

Marcus had his right hand digging through the right cabinet at the back of the history room on the first floor. He didn't know what he was looking for but he had the book to remind him at least.

Only an hour prior, Marcus had been reading in the library, alone, through the red leathered book he had stolen from Adam. It had details on the class, a class record book it seemed to be called for class 13.He had done his best to look through everyone's information but even for his skills he found nothing that connected everyone together besides being in the same class.

However, it was the end of the book that excited Marcus. There was writing that had been made with a marker. The whole book had been printed pages but this last page was blank and hand written over.

"Far right Cabinet, History Room, hole" Marcus thought to himself as he read it over to himself.

"Camera's weakness, the words Game Over."

Marcus raised an eyebrow at the last one, "Is this a joke?

He stood up slowly and looked over to the books behind him, sliding the class records into a gap on the third shelf from the floor before he left the room.

Now he was in the history room looking for this hole, or whatever it had meant.

"No one else has found anything to help us, why shouldn't I follow the only lead?" Marcus said.

He moved a clear container off the third shelf which contained compass' and rulers, probably used to measure distance on maps, but behind it Marcus found what he was looking for.

A hole in the back of the tall cupboard, the size to fit an arm at least, and it seemed to lead into a deeper hole which was probably in the wall. The room on the other side of this wall was the music room but Marcus just assumed there wall was thick between the two rooms.

He reached his right hand inside, digging around the walls which were evenly dug out to make this cylindrical hole, and inside his hand felt something dusty but made of leather, and out with his hand came a small black book.

With a light blow of air across the book, Marcus got the dust off and looked at the front, "A diary, by Taylor Shink, she was our mentor."

The want to read this newly discovered book was at the top of his mind but Marcus thought better of it, he dug it into pants pocket and walked out to the hallway.

His eyes met with the camera on the back wall, he walked closer nice and slow before his mouth uttered the words "Game Over."

The camera began to lower and its light turned off, Marcus' eyes widening in surprise as he put his hands on his waist.

"Well then, that's odd."

Marcus took his turn from the camera and made his way outside through the entrance building.

For the remainder of the night, Marcus hid under his blanket after using the strange command to deactivate the camera in his room. Using his PAL as a light, he read through the diary to learn more about this mentor of his.

The diary contained several entries of what seemed to be a day by day record of classes.

'Day One, I'm really nervous. I've introduced myself to the kids before- Actually I shouldn't call them kids, I want to show myself as their equal. so I've introduced myself them all before, they have seen me and talked to me, but what if the school atmosphere changes their attitudes and impressions of me?

I'm thinking too hard, I need to relax and calm myself.'

'Day Two, I've become pretty acquainted to them, yes! I stuffed up a bit with the work, I even wrote my name the wrong, Taylah instead of Taylor, but they didn't mind at all, they even laughed and said I was funny. Otherwise I think everything will go well.'

The diary continued to go through short explanations of every day events. It seemed that everyone in this school and the deceased people too had been together, at least if this diary and the entries were real and correct. The entries went to explain homework given, what they learnt daily and it seemed Marcus was known to get in fights with Marco because Marco stopped him from doing his own thing.

Marcus wasn't surprised in the slightest.

There was only 150 entries and by the time it was one AM in the morning, Marcus had read through them, but they were only half of the diary.

The rest of the diary seemed to be notes on a new school building being made away from the world, and that Taylor was worried her class was being taken there since she hadn't seen them on the last day of the semester.

It read about her ventures to try and find out what information she could find about this situation where she started writing information about the building itself.

'The building is smaller than the normal Hopes Peak buildings, but that's from the inside. The building seems a lot larger from the outside and that's because the walls themselves hide something within them. I'm not sure what it is but I found some camera footage from inside the music room of this building. The back wall, I believe that place holds the secret I'm after, I'll rewrite when I've checked it out.'

The rest of the dairy was empty and so Marcus decided to rest down, put the diary under his pillow and sleep. He planned to check this out tomorrow, unfortunately the death of a class member was going to change that.

After The Class Trial

"We need to get Marco to the infirmary!" Abby said.

Marco was being held up by Jacob but suddenly Marcus was taking the man away and putting Marco's right hand over Marcus' shoulders.

"I'll take him there, you all need rest before you look more depressed."

Everyone looked at each other. They were troubled about Marco but their faces were weak and distraught, and who could blame them. After what Frankie had done, along with his death, and Marco being injured because of Monokuma being rude to Jacob, today had started off really badly for everyone.

"Alright, but what about you?" Adam said.

"What about me?" Marcus said.

He looked directly at Adam, his face seeming a lot healthier than everyone else's and his eyes widened as if he was staring into Adam's soul.

Jacob gave off a sigh, "Don't worry, we know you don't care either way. Just take care of Marco at least, don't let anything happen to him! I've had enough of this game."

Marcus blew on his lips as if to say, "of course I will," then left for the school while everyone else walked towards the dormitories.

Marcus rested Marco down in the middle infirmary bed and Marco took the blanket and pulled it over his body before resting his head.

"Thanks, can you get the bandages, my arm is still bleeding here."

Marcus took the bandages from the shelf and wound it around the mans shoulder; under the arm and back over it went. The bandage went around five times before it was clipped to keep it together.

"Thanks."

Marcus simply gave a nod and put the bandage back before heading for the door but Marco stopped him.

"Are you going somewhere, I assumed you asked to help for some greater reason, not simply to help."

Marcus stood there but turned his head, "Can't a classmate help?"

"You may be a classmate but honestly you're the hostile one out of us all."

"I haven't murdered anyone, I'm simply trying to know my enemy without going too far."

"Like how you stabbed Adam on the second day?"

Marcus sighed, "That was purely out of confusion, I haven't done anything like that since."

"I may be all brawn and no brains mate, but here's a piece of advice. Keep yourself under control" Marco said.

Marcus turned his whole body around with his hands in his pocket as his face showed slight confusion and annoyance, "And what would that mean?"

"I mean you kind of people always get your plans together and then believe it's best to follow them, even if those plans are to hurt another. I am with Jacob when I believe we shouldn't do any of what that bear wants, we should trust each other."

Marcus turned back to the door and lowered his head, "Trust ha? I tried that once before with a friend of ours, he didn't take to it kindly honestly."

"Wait, a friend of ours? Do you mean Jacob, did you know him before all this?"

Marcus raised his head enough to look up and a sigh escaped his mouth, "It's not important, just a foggy memory now. Get some rest."

Marcus was out of the room and heading down the left side of the corridor before Marco could think of something to say.

The music room, with its swarm of chairs set out in rows in front of the stage, the row of chairs curved in a semi-circle like the stage itself was, and also the few instruments on the stage. These were not important to Marcus as he walked around them and to the back wall.

It was here that the writer believed something existed, some secret of the building. Marcus crouched to take a closer look, his fingers rubbing over the wall nice and slowly but nothing seemed to happen.

His fingers then seemed to rub over some kind of mechanism because he heard a beeping sound and the wall opened it, the tiles over the wall bending in over each other to create a doorway, and from inside a giant claw stretched out, grabbed Marcus' waist, and pulled him inside as the wall rebuilt itself like nothing happened.

It was three hours after the end of the class trial that Jacob and Adam had exited their rooms for something to eat. Simon was out in the dining hall reading the same book as last night but he seemed to be staring into nothingness more than the page itself. Jacob nor Adam blamed him as they got their sandwiches and coffee and sat down with the man.

"The new floor should open by now, if there is another. Should we all go check it out?" Jacob said.

Simon put his book down immediately as he looked at the two, "Are we all up for it? Exploring is great and all, but I doubt much of us can even think right now."

"I meant just three since we seem like the only ones up right now."

"Well," Simon said as he looked at his book but placed it on the table and moved his hand away from it, "I wouldn't mind a walk."

"Me neither, we might find a nice relaxing place too."

"Awesome, let's find Monokuma then."

The second floor didn't have a stairway leading upwards like the first floor did, instead it had a metal door with a button the side. Adam pressed the button and after a few seconds the door opened to an elevator with Monokuma inside.

"Ta-da!" he said with his arms raised out as if he was trying to impress them but when they stayed silent towards his surprise his arms lowered and he walked out, his legs taking him down the hall slowly with his body expressing sadness.

"Sheesh, and to think by shooting your friend I thought you'd respect me more."

"Y-you thought that!?" Simon said with his fists clenched.

Monokuma laughed a bit as he faced them properly, his paws over his mouth, "That got you to talk to me! Good boy."

"Jacob rolled his whole head, not just his eyes, and gave a sigh but before he spoke Monokuma did.

"Yeah, yeah. Don't get all annoyed about me! That there elevator takes you to the above floor. And before you ask, I wanted an elevator because two stairways in a row is boring! I'm too depressed to answer questions after they've been asked right now."

Monokuma made slow steps down the hall once he finished and disappeared around the corner as Jacob, Adam and Simon stared at each other then the elevator.

"Well, alright then" Adam said.

The three of them, Simon still trying to relax, stepped into the elevator which had very small space: Jacob guessed it was around the size for four moderately sized people. The only button next to the doors was the number three, signalling the third floor, and so they pressed it and the doors closed, followed by the ascending lift of the elevator.

The third floor, while the first floor had been an L shape and the second floor was a 90 degree turned Z shape floor, was an upside down U shaped floor. The elevator rose from the far left end of the floor, at the back wall, and flor was on a whole curve til to the far right end of the room where a dead end was in place.

The first floor starting from the far right where the elevator was, was inspected by Adam and featured a swimming pool which seemed to be as large as twenty metres with two sets of locket rooms at the far back which were most likely used for showering and changing. The flooring in the swimming pools area was groovy with bumps so when your feet are bare, they don't slip as easily as they would on tiles. The flooring in the shower was the same, and the walls were made of tiles.

"Seems relaxing enough for everyone" Jacob said, "The bathhouse seems nice but there is something people love about a swimming pool."

"Agreed, they are rather relaxing" Adam said with a slight laugh.

The room beyond the swimming pool was an enclosed space in width but it stretched forward for around 15 metres. The walls on either side had four cages on each wall, and directly next to the door on its right was a sink. The back wall of the room had its own door too which Jacob tried checking but it was locked.

"Woof, woof!"

Adam and Simon lowered their heads to the cages as Jacob turned his back to the door, their eyes all looking at the cages.

"Dogs!" Simon said.

There were eight dogs all up inside these cages, all of them black and slightly big as they looked at Adam and Simon, biting away at them but the cage stopping them. Their ferocious behaviour startled the two and they stood up immediately.

"Well shit, that wasn't welcoming" Simon said as he wiped his forehead.

"They're probably hungry, I'll let Joy know when she is feeling better" Jacob said and he began walking to the rooms main door to explore the rest of the floor.

The next room was another classroom with the same layout as the first three on the first floor. The chalkboard with the teachers desk and the rows of seats with cabinets behind them. The cabinets had nothing on them though and there seemed to be no way to figure out what the classroom was for so they didn't bother trying.

The last room, however, was pretty obvious as to what it was.

Several different machines along the walls with flashy lights and wires connected. The wires were pulled over the floor and connected to a large object in the centre of the large, round room that resembled a laser. It was mate of a transparent material but it stood high and was rested looking down at the floor.

"This is a science-y looking place, isn't it?" said Jacob.

"What is that though, some kind of laser?" Simon said.

"That!" Monokuma's voice said as his whole body charged past them and to the laser itself, "Is my precious Mind Wiper Baby! Baby is the third part of the name, by the way, I'd never call any of you baby!"

"Do you ever stop being annoying? What does it do?" Jacob said.

Monokuma growled and raised his paw, the laser pointing upwards and towards the three kids as it started lighting up.

"Care for me to give you all a taste of its power? You won't be the same again!"

The machien started making noises so Adam and Simon hid in the hallway but Jacob stayed where he was as he bowed his head. The machine got louder and louder as it brightened up, then the sound disappeared and the light faded away as Jacob smiled, the two cowards peeking inside.

"It's broken, isn't it?" Jacob said.

Monokuma let out another growl as he walked up to Jacob.

"Oi, bucko" he said, "Stop showing off, I'm serious!"

Jacob looked away from the bear to ignore him, causing Monokuma to stop his right foot and run out of the room and away from the three as fast as he could.

"So, it doesn't work?" Simon said, staring at the laser with Adam.

"No, thankfully. I don't know why but I suspect Monokuma wouldn't leave it out like this if it worked. Though then again he didn't touch anything to control it, so we couldn't control it anyway."

Jacob walked up to the machine itself and began looking over the large, grey base which had a thick black pipe fixed into the metal which came to a height of around four foot. The pipe held onto the transparent laser object which was now lowered down. There were wires plugged into the back of the base, with the front side being the one that faced the rooms door, along with the two sides.

"How much power does this use, exactly?" Adam said as he looked at the tons of wires.

"Probably not much" Jacob said as he walked towards the machines that the wires came from.

"But there are so many! How can it not be much?"

Jacob pointed to a number at the top of each machine, "each box is generating around the fifth amount of Kilovolts that is used to power a television, which is 35,000 by the way. So each box is using 6,000 kilovolts."

Adam took a look at the wires in each box, there was ten wires coming from each one, "So each wire is charging 600 kilovolts? That's not much."

"Exactly, he just wanted to make us think it was alot, I doubt this kind of weaponry could be fully functional with such a low amount of Kilovolts. You'd need more I suspect."

Simon and Adam gave off a shrug as Jacob patted the machine he was at before walking back to the door, "Shall we be off?"

"Yeah, I think this was the last room."

"Great, I need another coffee."

With an hour of sitting in the dining area, and two coffees in, Jacob began seeing the rooms of the dormitories open and one by one the others were walking out. Their smiles weakly grew as they saw Jacob, Adam and Simon, but they died off as they sat down on the seats before them.

Jacob looked around at everyone, then raised an eyebrow, "Where's Marcus?"

There was a bit of a cough as the speakers blared out a screech, and the TV turned itself on to show Monokuma in a black wig that resembled the king of rock, Elvis Presley. He was wearing a similar white coat too fit for his body and his paws were dabbing.

"Well, well, well! I have a show for you all!" Monokuma said as if he was delighted.

Jacob stood up and looked directly at the television, "What do you want?"

Monokuma looked directly at the screen as he tore his coat and wig off, nothing left on his body, and his eyes glared through the camera.

"Entrance Hall! Now! It's time for a fun time!"

Monokuma began holding his stomach and his head leant back as he let out a deep laugh while the television clicked off, everyone running for the Entrance Hall.

When they entered the Entrance Hall, there was a giant screen on the edge of the stage. It was blocking any way of going on the stage. Everyone stopped in front of it as Monokuma walked out from the hallway with a microphone in his hands, "Let's get started! Sir Marco has his television ready and now I shall program yours, give 'em a show Jerry!"

The television began turning on as Jacob's eyes widened at what Monokuma had said, "Wait, Jerry?!"

He didn't have time to ask anymore though because the television gained connected, and on screen was Marcus. He seemed to have just awoken and was getting off the floor with his hand going to the wall beside him, only for his hand to be cut by barbed wire which pricked at his skin causing him to wince and pull his hand back.

"What is he doing there?!" Lexi said.

"What the hell is this?!" Benedict said.

Monokuma let out a laugh and began turning up the sound, "Give them a show, Marcus me
