Hey munchkins! I hope you're doing well :).  Sorry if this chapter is kind of shitty, I've been studying for this stupid exam I have on Friday.

Pray for me, hopefully my textbooks don't suck the humanity out of me.

And please keep commenting, I love reading your comments. Happy reading!

Ajax's POV

"I'm going to go find some people if that's alright," I said to Mila, leaning closer to her ear.

"Mhm," she nodded, her attention focused elsewhere.

I quickly hurried through the thickening crowd to the back of the club. I had instructed Anna to wait for me there.

"Took you long enough," she sighed, pursing her painted lips.

"Sorry, got caught up," I muttered, scratching the back of my head. I glanced around the room wearily.

"So," she began, wrapping her arms around my neck.

"Uh, look Anna. I don't think this was a good idea."

"Awww why not?" she pouted, swaying her hips to the music. I sighed, pulling her arms from around my neck.

"What do you want?" I asked straightforwardly.

"You," she replied simply, fiddling with the collar of my shirt.

"I'm being serious."

"So am I," she shrugged.

I rolled my eyes, yanking her arm and pulling her towards the exit.

"I'm dropping you home," I stated.

"Excuse me?! You invited me and I came here to have a good time!" she exclaimed, struggling to pull away from me.

"Yes and now I regret that decision. I also know that you did not come here to have a good time by yourself, which is why I'm taking you home.

"Fine. You owe me," she huffed, getting into my car.

She was silent during majority of the drive back to her house, fiddling with her phone. Her flat was 15 minutes away from the club in the richer part of the city.

Perks of having rich parents.

"Care for a drink?" she asked, batting her lashes.

"No Anna. You know I have to drive back."

"Come one, you could stay over. Like old times," she flashed me a smile.

"No."

"Come on, one won't hurt," she pouted, gripping onto my arm.

"Fine," I snapped, glaring at her as she got out of the car.

"Beer or wine?" she asked once we entered her house.

"Beer," I muttered, sitting on her couch.

Her flat was the same as before, expensive white furniture with green houseplants everywhere. Literally everywhere. By the door, houseplant. In the kitchen, houseplant.

Bathroom, you guess it. Houseplant.

And I'm pretty sure half of them were fake even though she insisted on watering them. Sometimes I feared her neurons were short-circuiting.

"So, how's dance going?" she asked, coming to sit extremely close to me.

I cursed myself for sitting in the corner, blocked by the armrest on one side and cornered by her body on the other.

"Good," I replied curtly.

"You guys must miss me," she sighed, resting her hand on my leg. I tensed, clenching my jaw.

"Not really," I muttered and she scoffed.

"Admit it, you've thought about me since I've been gone."

I stayed silent, taking a long sip of my beer.

"You can't help it. You know we were meant for each other."

I cringed at her words, mentally vomiting in my head.

"Anna, I'm not doing this right now," I sighed, moving to get up.

"Let me kiss you once and then you'll see that you love me."

"What? No! Are you insane?"

I stared at her, shocked that she suggested such an idea. She didn't say anything, gazing up at me with her blue eyes. The grip on my leg tightened as she slowly moved it higher.

"I'm leaving Anna."

Grabbing my keys, I made my way to her door. My phone began buzzing in my pocket and I reached to fish it out.

"Hello?" I spoke, unlocking her door.

"It's Ben. You nee-"

I didn't get a chance to hear the rest because Anna grabbed the collar of my shirt, yanking me towards her and pressed her lips against mine.

Fuck.

Her lips tasted like margarita, no doubt from the drink she'd consumed at the club.

One hand held my phone to my ear, while the other tried to push the crazed blonde off of me.

"Hold on, I'll call you back," I said as she attempted to leave a hickey behind my ear.

"No wai-"

"Anna I swear to fucking God if you touch me again I won't hesitate," I snarled, shoving her so hard that she nearly fell over.

Yanking her door open, I hurried down the steps to my car.

My phone was buzzing once again, Ben's name flashing across the screen.

"What happened?"

"You need to get here right now. Something happened to Mila and she's not okay," he said, urgency clear in his voice.

"What?" I blurted, my heart dropping.

"Just.. get to the restaurant as fast as you can."

I ended the call, stepping on the gas pedal. The city lights blurred as I blew though the intersections, only stopping once at a red light.

By the time I reached the club, two police cars were parked in the parking lot.

My heart was thumping as I ran from my car towards Ben's restaurant.

"Sir, you can't go there," an officer stated, holding his arm out to stop me.

"No, I need to go in. My girlfriend is in there."

He shared a look with his colleague who nodded subtly. Removing his hand, he gestured for me to go.

"Ben wha-"

"Sit down," he interruped, rubbing his forehead as he stood by a chair.

"Okay, where's Mila?"

"She's okay. She's back there," he said, nodding towards the kitchen.

"What? Then why did you call me here?" I asked in confusion.

"Where were you?" Ben asked suddenly, narrowing his eyes at me.

"I had some things to take care of," I replied, getting impatient.

"Things that were more important than being with Mila?"

"What are you trying to say?"

"Why did you leave her alone at the club?"

"I didn't. She was with Lena and the others."

"Okaaay, why did you leave her knowing you had her phone?"

"I forgot about that," I muttered, pulling her phone out of my pocket.

"You're really fucking stupid," Ben spoke, his eyes flashing with anger as he clenched his jaw.

"Excuse me? Look, I don't know what your deal is. I'm going to see Mila," I snapped. I stood up, only for Ben to push my chest and force me back into my seat.

"The police will tell you when you can see her," he shot back.

"And you might want to wipe that lipstick off your lips," he muttered in disgust making my eyes widen.

Shit.

I sat there waiting for what felt like hours.

"You must be Ajax," an officer said, his steely grey eyes watching me.

"Yes, what's all this about?" I asked.

"Do you know if Mila had any alcohol?"

"No, she didn't. She wasn't drinking tonight."

"She's running a high fever right now."

"She mentioned she didn't feel too good, what happened?"

"She was drugged," he said bluntly.

"What?" I blurted, my blood running cold.

"There's GHB in her blood stream. Your girlfriend is smart. She already knew," the officer said, writing in his notepad.

"What the fuck is GHB?"

"Date rape drug."

No. No no no no.

"Date rape drug?"

"Yes. She's incredibly lucky that she managed to escape."

"We've pulled security footage from the club," another officer announced.

My mind was spinning as I processed all the information.

I pushed past him, despite his protests, and burst through the kitchen doors. My heart was pounding as I spotted Mila and another woman dressed in a white lab coat.

Mila was resting her head on her arms as she sat by the table. I couldn't see her face, brown locks falling around her.

"You must be the boyfriend," the doctor said, eyeing me in distaste.

"Is she okay?" I asked, slightly out of breath.

"She has a fever and I've given her medication to put her to sleep for a while. She insisted she didn't want to go to the hospital."

"Did he..." I trailed off, my heart pounding.

"No. She fought back, did quite some damage on him," she replied.

"Oh thank God," I sighed, my shoulders slumping.

I could never forgive myself if something like that happened to Mila.

Fuck. You're so stupid Ajax. Why did you leave her

"I suggest you take her home. She should be out for a solid 10 hours. Try not to have too many people come see her, she might get overwhelmed. And be careful of her injuries."

"Alright," I nodded.

The doctor removed the blood pressure cuff from Mila's arm before stepping aside. I wrapped my arms around her waist and legs, lifting her into my arms.

"Ajax?" she mumbled, her eyelids drooping closed. Her skin was burning hot as I held her.

"It's me, you're okay. I'm taking you home."

"Why didn't you come?" she whispered and I froze, my grip tightening.

Because I'm stupid and I don't deserve you.

"Go to sleep," I whispered, kissing her forehead softly.

"Mhm," she mumbled something incoherent, resting her head against my chest. As I was leaving to my car, I spotted a man watching me as two police officers held him tightly. Blood dripped from his head and shirt, his yellow teeth bloody as well.

I glared right back at him, anger sizzling in my veins.

Good thing I was carrying Mila or he'd be broken and bruised by now.

---------------------------------------------------

Ajax set Mila on his bed gently, moving away the strands of hair on her face. His heart clenched as he saw the blood seeping through the white bandage above her brow.

He frowned, tracing his finger over the dark bruises on her neck. Purple hickeys littered her collar bone. Her skin was pale, devoid of its usual rosy flush.

His blood boiled in anger, anger at the man for doing this to her. And anger at himself for not being there.

Three blue lines were imprinted on her wrist, a reminder of the tight grip the man had. He hadn't changed her clothes, afraid she would panic when she woke.

He pinched the bridge of his nose, pacing to get himself to calm down. Every time he saw the  button that been ripped off of her high waisted jeans, he was reminded that things could've turned out way worse than they had.

If only he'd stayed there with her. He knew she wasn't feeling well. He knew she was vulnerable because she was drowsy. He knew it was never a good idea to leave her alone in a room full of creepy men. He knew.

And yet he still left her alone.

He was pulled out of his thoughts as Mila shifted, her eyes slowly fluttering open.

"Hey."

"Where am I?" she mumbled, rubbing her eyes.

"Gently," Ajax scolded, grabbing her hand as she almost pressed on the wound above her brow.

Mila squinted at Ajax in confusion, a dull throbbing in her head. She could tell Ajax hadn't slept. He was still dressed in his clothes from last night.

"How are you feeling?" he asked, holding her hand.

"I don't know," she replied, her brows furrowing.

Suddenly, everything hit her at once. Flashes of yesterdays events flitted through her mind and she tensed. Ajax stood there, watching different expressions pass over her face. Confusion, shock, realization, and then tiredness.

Should I hug her? Is this where you give hugs? She needs a hug right? I would want a hug.

He leaned over, pulling her closer to his chest. She didn't respond, staring at the white sheets in front of her in a daze.

Mila noticed something odd. Instead of the usual scent of his cologne that always calmed her, she smelled something else.

Dior.

Mila knew the distinct scent of J'adore by Dior. Her mother used it all the time and it was the one perfume she hated.

And she also knew for a fact that nobody used that perfume, except one person.

Ajax furrowed his brows when he felt Mila tense in his hold. Pushing him away, she stared up at him.

"Why do you smell like Anna?"
