April 11th, 1994. 9:14 P.M.

The backseat of the car started to become steamier, even the glass fogged up. Dally's passionate hands held the girl he met from the party, he closes his eyes tightly, imaging the girl to be someone else. He almost had the imprint in his head, when she groaned heavily. It was the sound of a body he didn't know at all. In the corner of his eye, he notices a couple walking past the car. He turns his head to see her, Bianca and Steve going off together. His limbs fell weak, the girl continued to kiss down the corner of his lips and neck.

Her movements rapidly, shoving her hands down the front of his pants. She overpowers his limp body, pinning him under her body in the back seat. She's desperate for more, urging him to take her now, so she took the lead. He finally finds strength and shoves her shoulders up, but she collapses back down on him.

She became rougher and rougher, he tried for a second time until finally having enough. He hoists his legs up and physically kicked her off, before scrambling out of the car door. All he heard from then was her moan out, "Freddy come back." She slurred, drunkenly. He leaned back inside, "The name is Dallas." Before slamming the door shut and leaving her inside.

He swaggered over to another car, leans down to the mirror to fix himself up. All his hair is stuck to his forehead with sweat, and his heavy breathing won't allow him to stay still. He stood up straight, the town was still and fresh to him. He jams his fist into his pockets and began to wander down the road, not wanting to deal with anyone at the party.

Dally passes a jewellery store not too far from the hotel and the party deck, that's when an idea came over him. He notices the closed sign, but also a dark figure looming around inside. He bangs on the glass doors, smoothing his face against it and spoke into the crack between the doors, "I know it's late, but it's an emergency."

The woman from inside comes into the light, she touches the lock but pauses, "How do I know you're not going to rob me?" she asked, peering an eyebrow up. Dally sighs, he knew he must've looked like a hoodlum, but he was wearing a nice suit, that should've counted for something, "Look, I need a ring for a girl."

She takes a second think, then slides open the doors. He thanks her, his eyes already scanning the display cases. "What occasion is this for?" the woman asked, ready to help him. He ponders the right answer, "It's for a girl, who doesn't know I'm in love with her. I really want something special... Something red."

"A ruby?" she brightened up, he nods, "Yes. If that's the red jewel. I think she likes that." She turns around to another cabinet and unlocks it, before sliding out a velvet box and places it in his hand. He looks at it aimlessly, "Well go ahead." She urged.

He feels the fuzz from the box, then opens it with two hands to reveal the most beautiful, memorialising piece of jewellery he's ever seen. He's almost speechless at how perfect it was, "It's on sale." The woman says, which only widens Dally's smile even more. She writes the price of small piece of paper, then slides that too over to him. He eyes it, knowing he can afford that, but it would be a lot.

Five minutes later, he's  back on the darkened footpath, praying he wouldn't be robbed out in the open. He's left the gun he usually carries back at hotel room and he's only a block away. Under the streetlamps, he stops and takes out the ring, hoping it hadn't mysteriously changed in any way. He's taken back again by it, gleaming red and shined under the lights, knowing the girl he gives it to, will want to marry him.
