"Why is it that you hate him so much?" I was madder than I've been in a long time. She just shook her head wordlessly, but I kept at it, "You have no idea. He's done more for me than you ever have."

"That's just not true." She shook her hand, staring directly down at the one hand she had on the bench to hold herself up. "It is true!" my voice raised, "Look. It's raining outside!" I point to the garden and porch which had nearly been flooded with all the water falling from the sky.

I felt my throat burning and the intense need to explode. Dally has always been there for me; I couldn't have made it through without him by my side. My mother on the other hand, couldn't care less for my happiness. "We have plenty of umbrella's laying around the house. He could've taken one." She says, moving the hand to her hip.

"You'll become a mother one day and realise I do all this for you." I could see it in her face, she was too exhausted to fight, "How do you think I will react when you come home and tell me you're either knocked up or have some sort of disease from him."

I was so angry that my body trembled at the thought, "I told you. Repeatedly, I haven't slept with him. Not even once, he's never even made a pass at me." I raged, as Amy and Steve walked through the front door. I stormed off into the living room. My mother followed but stopped and walked back to the kitchen. I fell onto the couch with my arms crossed. I couldn't bare to look at her any longer.

Amy plops an arm full of bridesmaid dresses on the table, with a side smirk she says, "I saw Dally storming out. Another couples quarrel?" my mother shakes her head, and leans in to whisper something. I couldn't hear them. All I saw was Amy pull back, "Aw." And then nod slowly.

I bite the end of my fingernail, until she made her way over to me and sat on the other end of the couch. I didn't want to look at her either, she pulled her knees up to her chest like I had and elbowed me to get attention. I snapped my head to her, not wanting to have a heart to heart with her. "You know where she is coming from, right?"

"She psychotic!" I yelled out, making sure she heard me. Amy tries to calm me down, "Come on. Lay on my lap." I shook my head stubbornly until she pulls me over. I placed my head on her lap as she brushes her fingers through my blonde hair. "You know, Dally can come to the wedding and the holiday too." I sat up straight in an instant change of mood, "Really?"

"Yes. Of course." she agrees. I placed my head back down, my eyes became heavy from exhaustion. Fighting doesn't that to me. I couldn't help but shut my eyes. It didn't take long for me to fall into a deep sleep.
